Well our experience with Alpha was very disappointing. We contracted Alpha to fix some settling…read morethat had occurred on our pool/lanai. Our lanai is sort of a fat T shape. Pool is on the horizontal top part of the fat T and dining area is on the vertical bottom part. The lanai surface is pavers, the pavers on the bottom of the T are on concrete while the ones on the top of the T (around the pool) are on sand. There is a concrete retaining wall around three sides of the pool portion of the lanai, sort of like a ground level sea wall, and that wall has settled a good deal. We contracted Alpha to raise that sea wall and correct the corresponding paver condition. The contract called for both elements. When the first crew arrived August 10 they installed helical piers to raise and stabilize the wall, which they did. However that raising seriously disrupted the pavers around the pool. When the second crew arrived August 11 to address the pavers they told us the pavers were too seriously settled for the poly fill to be of any use. The Alpha rep who first evaluated the job never said anything about the pavers on the sand being too settled when the contract was entered into, so if they were after the wall raising, it was Alpha's doing. When we pressed Alpha about the issue they pointed to some fine print in the contract that got them off the hook. So a warning to anyone who engages Alpha Foundations for work, be sure to go over the fine print. Alpha will exploit those fine print details to get away with anything they do that damages any part of your property.

We had a pool deck that was sinking. It looked bad and was very dangerous as a tripping hazard. It addition, the linear drain line wasn't properly working. Rain water went into the drain and then ran under the concrete slab causing additional sinking issues. Big expensive problem was brewing. The deck was down 1/4" on the left side and the right side had dropped 1 1/4". The screened cage was slowly being pulled apart. At some point we expected the concrete deck to start cracking. It is extremely expensive to have a concrete deck removed and replaced with a drain system. But we found a great option. Raise and fully support the concrete slab back to its original position. After serious research, we learned that the old fashion way called "Mud Jacking" was outdated and had too many disadvantages. The newer process of using injected foam was far better. With smaller drilled injection holes, the foam compresses the sand soil and completely fills in all the open gaps created by run off rain. When the process was complete, there was basically no set up time. We could drive an army tank over the slab. We got some estimates and after meeting with Joe at EFS, we wanted to work with them. Rather than have some large company with sub contracted crews or low labor crews that just did enough to keep their job, we felt far safer with EFS. The same two men that come out to work an estimate actually return to do the work themselves. They own the company and have many years of experience. Because they now have a highly respectable reputation with great reviews, they want to create a huge base of totally satisfied customers. In today's world where reviews really matter, the bad guys cannot hide and the good guys are rewarded with new happy customers. We are one of those very happy customers. Our pool deck was quickly and neatly repaired in two hours. EFS cleaned up as if it was their home. They restored our sinking pool deck back to the original position. Just look over the photos and see the before and after images. The best part is the price. Just a tiny little fraction of the cost to rip out and rebuild the deck and linear drain system. If your pool deck, driveway or concrete slab is sinking, don't wait, call these guys right now. Their prices are really good and their work is excellent. So there's no need to be tortured with securing numerous estimates. Environmental Foam Solutions is the one that you want. You'll be so pleased with EFS, that you'll be motivated to write a review to let others know how happy you are.
