Don't go here... I hate to write this as a warning. They claim to be clean and will reject people if they have foot issues. Yet they should take their own advice. The nail tech working on my manicure had warts, YES WARTS all over her fingers. I told the owner and complained b/c that is contagious and he put me with someone else. And the nail tech with WARTS went to work on someone else instead of sending this health risk home. Not to mention my nails chipped the next day (both feet and fingers) Wasted $35. I wish I read this before coming here. Fail fail fail.... Do not go here. WARTS is a virus and do not go away, stay in your system, so in essence putting yourself at risk going here. read more

I guess I spoke too soon...... I've been coming every two weeks for a gel refill--and they've been chipping around the edges, breaking, top layers coming off and generally not lasting..while the pricing is good, I'd rather pay more and get more wear out of the nails.. My last appointment was no different than my last, however instead of doing french I decided to get a color. A refil that usually takes forty-five minutes took nearly two hours. REALLY?! ugh. I went this salon recently only right after I needed to fix the awful pedicure I had from another nail salon (Nail Bliss) that is not that far from here. As this was one of very few salons around the area that open on Sundays and our family were on our way for a week vacation, so I needed a quick fix from awful pedicure job I got just one day ago. I wanted to try Happy Nails first but they did not have any immediate spot for me at the time when I called them. When I walked in, I could be placed for pedicure right away. The experience was not spectacular but I got the job that needed to be done and could head for my vacation with decent looking toes :) I would give three stars: one for cozy atmosphere, one for decent job of the work for competitive pricing ($25 for pedicure) and one for promptness I received for service. read more

I'd give this place 5 stars for their nail service and 1 star for their customer service. I have been going here for the past few months and while they always do a great job on my nails, I'm almost always questioned about my nail choices! Shape, color, lack of designs, etc. The nail technician always asks me why I pick "such boring colors" and "why don't you want square nails? They look better than round nails." Suggesting is one thing, but flat out telling a paying customer that they make bad decisions is another thing. I'm sorry I don't want flashy, neon, crazy, trashy nails. One woman even laughed and told me I had crooked fingers! What do you want me to do about that?! Unfortunately sitting through being treated like this is not worth the manicure. Next time I will be going to another salon and if anyone ever asks about Spa #1 Nails I will show them this review! read more

On December 6th, 2015 I went into the salon for a manicure. I noticed immediately that they did not remove the nail file and other instruments from a sterilized bag. As a result, I found out later that I have a nail fungus. Do not ever go there. read more

Went here with my 9 year old little sister yesterday, pedicure for myself and polish change on her toes for her. I asked her technician to fill the pedicure tub up with water for her just for fun and they said no, I had to get the kids pedicure which is $20 so I did. Then after we had already paid and were on our out they told me they forgot to charge me $6 for the designs my sister got on her toes. And said they could only take cash for that. If they forgot to charge me and I already paid that's on them! I was appalled they had the nerve to say I owed them more! Terrible customer service read more

This nail salon has supposedly recently closed but don't quote me. They were good in the beginning but there are far better salons in the area. Nail salons change hands every couple of years for various reasons. I wish them the best of luck. read more

Perplexed to find so few and low rated reviews for this hidden gem in Valley Square. I've been here 3 times and have gotten 3 manis and 2 pedis. Two of the three manicures were gel. The gel manicures lasted more than 2 weeks and I would get them more often if my nails didn't grow so fast! Tracey, Vinnie, Cindy were friendly, professional and very competent. Yvonne, the owner, is very attentive to clients and efficient with managing appointments and her staff. read more

DO NOT GO HERE.. there are much better salons to go to, especially in Doylestown which is only 10 minutes from here. I highly recommend Happy nails off Main street. I got a manicure done at Spa #1 and most of it chipped the very next day. I went to get it fixed and the nail tech removed all the color and then asked me to pay. I had to explain AGAIN I just wanted it fixed. The manager came and said they were too busy to fix it and to come back after the holiday. I came back 2 days later and they were "too busy" to help me. So I emailed Yvonne and she did not respond. I know she understands English well so I basically just got ripped off. read more

I asked for a mani & pedi. They asked me to come back in about an hour. While inconvenient I agreed. When I came back they said they had no one to do my nails! Said everyone was too busy even though they were standing around. There are so many nail places nearby I will never go back. read more

I have no words to really describe my experience in Spa One Nails today. Before going further I will have to say that I have never had any problems with the quality of work. And employees are always are friendly. However, Ivonne's husband that often takes care of the front is very rude, inconsiderate, and emotionally dominating individual. He had absolutely no problem humiliating me today and what a shame. I've been salon's loyal customer for years and today's experience has insured that I will never think of this salon again for my beauty needs. I have a baby so for me free time is so hard to come by hence I stopped by and made an appointment for 12:30 and even prepaid for my services. There were several times in the past when I made my appointment that when I came in I waited for 15 to 30 minutes before I was taken. There was also a time when I received a phone call from the salon 5 minutes before my scheduled time telling me that they are now backed up and cannot take me. This time I arrived for my appointment at 12:33. I happen to walk in right behind another customer. The girl that I was suppose to have my appointment with started to run water for pedicure. Ivonne's husband proceeded to stop her and told her to take care of the customer that I walked in with. When i pointed out that I had an appointment for 12:30 he said that I am 10 minutes late while pointing to the clock that was showing 12:34!!! He said i need to pick my nail polish color and sit down. It won't hurt me to wait. He walked away. Ivonne was taking care of the customer and while she was aware of everything that was transpiring she did not speak up and avoided any eye contact with me. Her customer was telling her that I was right. I only walked in 3 minutes late. Ivonne said nothing. I stood in the middle of the vestibule dumbfounded by what just took place. After about 3 minutes I asked Ivonne to please refund my money. I said that I was very insulted by the way her husband just treated me. Seeing that I am speaking to Ivonne her husband came out and proceeded to continue to argue with me. He did process my refund. When I walked out I was almost in tears. When I first met this gentleman years ago he was considerate and intelligent. I cannot say what has happened to him that has driven him to be the way that he was but I do know that he is forgetting the golden rule about what makes a business successful. I will no longer ever refer another customer to them. I will never purchase a gift certificate. I will not ever use this salon under this management team. They lost all credibility in my eyes. There are many salons in the area - specifically COCO Nails right up the street. As far as price goes - I paid $35 for my services at COCO Nails for what Spa One Nails charged $33. They give you much longer foot massage and even run your shoulders while you are drying your nails :) read more

I am new to the area and needed to find a new nail salon. I decided to give Spa #1 a try for a manicure and pedicure. Staff was friendly when I walked in but was a little taken back when I started to browse their nail polish. There were brands I never heard of, along with Covergirl and other drug store brands, not salon quality. I chose to spend an extra $3 to get a shellac that is supposed to last 7 days. The pedicure was nice, but nothing spectacular. The start to the manicure was fine, until the technician asked if I was paying before or after. That is when I learned that you could not put a tip on a credit card. The salon I have been going to for years always accepted tips on credit, so I was not prepared. The woman was clearly unhappy even though I apologized numerous times and saying I would come back to bring a tip. Once I got home I realized what a horrible job she did. The polish was streaky and the top coat didn't even cover my entire nail. I returned the following day to bring a tip and ask for my nails to be fixed. The woman at the desk asked which nail looked bad and seemed annoyed when I said all of them! They had another technician repaint my nails who was very friendly. I tipped both my original tech and the second and left without receiving a goodbye. After one day the $3 extra nail polish chipped. I will not be returning. read more

I went there two weeks ago for a gel mani / gel pedi. The service was very nice and I liked my technician a lot. However, the gel on both my toes and fingers began chipping the very next day. It was completely off 3 days later. I was on vacation and could not return to show them / have them fix it. Very disappointing that $60 worth of gel lasted a quarter of the time it was supposed to. read more

I have been going to this salon over the past year, and loved it. I thought it was clean the staff was personable, and my nails always lasted longer than expected. On Saturday I went in at 10:30 and asked if I could get the UV gel nail polish and a pedicure. The owner said yes we will do your nails first then pedicure. I was almost done with my manicure when a party of 8 walked in. The owner came up to me with the sign in clip board and asked which one was me, and I pointed to my name. Since I had spoke to him about the services I wished to have, I did not fill in on the sign in list that I wanted a pedicure, so the owner told me it was my fault and he did not recall our conversation that we had 30 minutes prior, and now they had a party of 8, and could not do my pedicure. I reminded him of our conversation, and he just walked away. I went to another salon to get the pedicure. Now it is two days later, and two of my nails are chipping, which are supposed to last at least two weeks. I also suspect they are not using genuine OPI products. Inconsistent service and quality! The experience at this nail salon is hit and miss at best. I agree with other reviewers, most of the time Yvonne's husband is very nice other times he is rude (I have experienced this 2x myself but have seen him be rude to other patrons on a number of occasions). Recently, they used a really poor product (gel polish) on my nails and because they were busy my nails were not filed well and 3 broke. I had to have them redone less than a week later. I was just at Spa #1 nails, getting a pedicure with my family when a lady comes up to me and tells me that I can't get the full pedicure treatment because I have something on my legs and she thought it was not safe. As I told her over and over again I have been here before, many times, nothing has ever happened and that it was ok. But she was not listening to me. Terrible I wanted a gel manicure and they didn't cut cuticles or anything, I went there twice and both times they did a sloppy paint job and they also painted my nails the wrong color and when I pointed it out they realized and just said I was right and just said sorry, they didn't offer to re-paint my nails or give me a discount. Worst place I've ever been too. And it's expensive. They also charge an extra $5 to remove previous gel from nails.. read more

I had a bad feeling when I first called to make an appointment and when I started to give him my name he hung up. Ok, went in with a Groupon for Gel Manicure and pedicure, I said I had wanted a French and before anything else could come out of my mouth the owner Sal said rudely and abruptly $10.00 more. I showed him the Groupon and said it doesn't state anywhere that there is an additional charge, to which he said' you don't like it leave. There was no reason to be abrasive to me a was not being rude to him. In hindsight I should have left, had a wedding that evening and felt I had to bite the bullet. To sum it up I had to ask him to put water in the spa tub after he told me 2 times to put my feet in the tub, then I had to ask him to put hot water since he was running cold water in it. On 4 occasions I had to ask him to please cut 3 nails back and file them. I was taken at 12:15 and was done and paid the extra money1:40- some relaxing spa pedicure. Will never go back, word of mouth can be your best and worst form of advertising and I plan on telling ALOT of people to stay away from this nail salon. This man feels he can change the rules according to what he wants, Groupon needs to educate their businesses, if there are exceptions then they need to be spelled out. read more

I have been going to Spa #1 for a few months. I had been satisfied up until my last and final visit. Last week I had an appointment for pedi and gel removal and gel polish. After waiting 20 minutes, which I really didn't mind, I was taken back for my pedi. I put my feet into burning hot water, and immediately pulled them out. My technician added cold water and then we continued with the pedicure. She was scrubbing the callus on the side of my big toe to get it off, using an abrasive block/sponge. She then started scrubbing the top of my toe, where there is no callus, really hard. All of a sudden I was in pain, as she had scrubbed off several layers of perfectly good skin off of the top of my foot. It was bleeding quite a bit, which then made me worry that I may get some sort of infection. She kept trying to blot it with the paper towel squares that they cut up, and I know they are not sterile. I asked her to just put a Band-Aid on it, which she did, after rinsing both my feet with ice cold water. I persevered while she finished the pedicure, really wanting to just leave. Now I understand that we are all human and mistakes can be made by anyone. However, when I mentioned it to the owner upon checking out, he had not much of a reaction and just offered a "sorry". While I was still in the shop getting out tip money for the tech who did my gel nails, he makes a b-line to the back of the salon and verbally scolds the technician, in front of the other employees and customers. Wow, rule #1 of managing people: Praise in public, discipline in private!!!!!!! I left the shop feeling like he shouldn't have charged me for a pedicure that went wrong and ended up injuring me. Two days later I noticed that the gel polish was chipping off of several fingernails and peeling off of another two. So, I went back and asked to speak with the owner in private. We spoke in the back and I told him that I felt that I shouldn't have been charged for the pedicure since I was injured and I would like a refund. I also pointed out the issues with my fingernails. He started a long dissertation on how certain polishes don't adhere to certain people's nails, and that it depends on the brand. So now he has me thinking that the brand I chose is not compatible with my nails. He then proceeds to repolish only the nails that are having a problem with the same polish that he just convinced me was not compatible with my nails. He also then insults me regarding the condition of my nails and makes me feel that the entire thing is my fault! No do-over with another brand of polish and no refund for my pedicure! So now it is 6 days since my initial visit and the large sore on my foot is still really red, hurts, and is just now starting to heal. The polish on my fingernails is once again chipping and peeling. Spa #1 has lost a customer permanently, and I will dissuade potential new customers at every opportunity I can. All because the owner did not make the situation right, and treated me as if it was my fault. I have seen him interact with other customers over the past few months (and even get in a fight with one), and I see how he treats customers and employees. He is controlling and superior and I feel sorry for his lovely wife and employees. read more

I went to get a gel manicure, and while I enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff, I was disappointed in the product. I was offered a third coat but then was upcharged $5 without being told prior. Two nails had chipped by the next day, and within five days, 5 fingers were chipped and ruined. I have had better experiences elsewhere. read more
