When I stepped into the place, pretty much everyone who works there smiled and say hi to me. I care a lot about good manners so, that was great for me. Now, the service: I didn't wait, I was immediately seated, I always go to these places because I bite my nails and I've been in very expensive ones, high quality and cheap ones, low quality ones. I'm new to the area and since they are besides my bank I stopped there, I had fake nails with gel manicure, I paid about 30.00 first time and the last time I went (for refill) I paid like half of that. What I love: The massage with stones they give you when your nails are drying out, also, I have a horrible finger (from biting it) and somehow it looks great now, they added lotions to it, no one ever did that before. I felt appreciated and I won't go anywhere else. I haven't had other services but I will be posting when I do. read more

This was my first time back at Grin since it opened a few years ago. I found out it was under new management and many people were talking about it so I gave it a try. It was fabulous! Everyone was so nice, detail oriented and professional. It was so relaxing with a calm environment, they even offered me a drink for free! I asked for pineapples for my upcoming vacation and they turned out awesome! I highly recommend- for pedicures, did not get my nails done so I can't comment on that!!! Grin Nails was taken over by a new owner last year and since then has blown other salons in the Chalfont area out of the water. The salon is clean and updated, the staff is lovely, and they offer you a nice beverage of your choice while you enjoy your service! They have just added a membership program which is spectacular for those who visit frequently. I am a graduate student and model that is always in need of a perfect gel french manicure and a french pedicure for photoshoots, shows, and interviews/auditions. Therefore, I travel frequently and only allow these women to work on my nails; I stick with the with the salon I trust and they never disappoint me. P.S. I highly recommend the paraffin wax hand treatment; it's wonderful for this frigid weather. read more

worst nail job ever. my lady was absolutely awful and rude. I payed $65 for a regular pedicure and gel nails. i got a pink color for my toes and she did one coat. It basically looks clear and smudgy... i will never go back and will never pay $65 for a awful job. she cut my fingers up because she clipped my skin, not even my nails. Also, they do not clean their supplies and it's disgusting. will never be ripped off again... Never go there. read more

Stopped in with a girlfriend this past Saturday for the official first mani/pedi of the season. Let's cut right to the chase: NO awesome back massaging chairs. I love those chairs, I'd pay the $30 just to sit in the chair and read a magazine for an hour. I've tried to replicate the experience at home with any number of off the rack back massaging pads, they've all been found wanting. So right off the bat, I'm wary. My fears are not exactly assuaged by the fact that the owner/manager is a forceful presence. He orders: "WELCOME, please sign in. " Then he resumes his Romanesque half-recline on the front waiting section sofa. He's scary and we don't want to snuggle, so my girlfriend and I scurry off to the safety of pedicure section in the back. There, I'm soothed by the better than average decor, the fact that they have a nice selection of dark polish (I do love a nice asphalt with red glitter) and the promise of something to do with hot stones. I'm just getting settled in to a nice hot foot bath, when the owner barks something at the girl giving my pedi. She jumps, I jump... all the other women jump. I almost drop People magazine on my poor tech's head. (All about Pippa!) Not super relaxing. This happens about once every 10 minutes to either my tech or another tech. I'm thinking: "Who is this guy? " Pedi was awesome. Hot stones are the best. Toes are beautiful and on to the mani. Apparently my tech picked the wrong station. Another reproving word from the head honcho and I'm forced to shuffle to another table (in a near empty salon) with one of those cotton thingies between my toes. Mani looked great, and during dry time, they give a nice shoulder massage with another hot stone. All the while, the manager was sitting up at the front register glowering at his staff; and interjecting sharp comments from time to time. I was expecting him to whip out a kettle drum and command each woman to file in sync. In sum, the services are great. The salon is impeccably clean and I would absolutely go back for the hot stones; forgiving even the lack of fancy chairs. But what's with the manager? His presence was an uncomfortable addition. I couldn't relax, and that's what I go for. So I'm not sure I'll be returning. read more

I love this place! I always come here to get pedicures. I get the $30 pedicure and it's fantastic. They always do a great job, every nail tech is fantastic. I suggest making an appointment because they do get busy. I've had no issues every time I've come. read more

I read the previous reviews and have to wonder: Are they talking about the same place as I am? I went to Grin Nails today and what an amazing experience. My pedicure was followed by a hot stone massage to my feet and legs. It was awesome! Then I had my real nails done with a manicure. The manicure included an arm and hand massage. When I didn't think it could get any better, while my nails were drying I had a hot stone massage followed by a manual neck and back massage. Seriously! And this was for no more money than I've paid at other nail salons. I am most definitely a huge fan! I will be back and soon. I am seriously curious as to the previous reviewers experiences and how they differ from my own. The staff was pleasant, the ambience comfortable and the perks make it worth every cent! read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars!!!!! I decided to give Grin Nails & Spa a try on Sunday (2/24/19). I made an appointment for 4 pm for dip manicure and a pedicure. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment, picked my colors and had a seat. I waited 15 minutes before someone even approached me, then waited an additional 30 minutes before I got seated at a manicurist table. The woman who did my nails was AWFUL! She cut me with the cuticle clippers TWICE causing me to bleed on my pinky and ring finger. She did a horrific job filing my nails thatI ended up asking her for the nail-file so I could do it myself to even them out correctly. Today is Thursday 2/28/19 and the dip has fully come off on 3 of my nails and the dip is lifting from the rest of my nails. A DIP MANICURE IS SUPPOSED TO LAST 3 WEEKS, NOT 4 DAYS!!!! I thought the pedicure would be better since I was going to helped by another woman. But, it was just as bad. I sat with my feet soaking for over 20 minutes... there were literally 3 customers and 6 staff, so there is no reason I should have waited that long. The woman did a terrible job... she cut my nails so short they actually hurt and like the woman who did my nails managed to cut me. This place is awful and I am even more mad that they charged $70 for shitty service, made me bleed 3 times and nails that do not last. I will never go back to this place. read more

I'm still in shock and because of that I had to leave a review. I've have been getting my nails done for 10+ years, everything from gel manicures to acrylic sets. I'm working in this area today and decided on my lunch break to get an acrylic full set with gel nail polish on top. Before the nail tech started for whatever reason she said "Ok, it going to be $70 today." I have never paid $70 for acrylic tips and polish. I left. There's 5 other places off the same road that will charge $35 for the same service. read more

Due to covid I haven't had a mani/pedi for 14 months. Prior to the pandemic grin nails was always my go to. Finally I treated myself after 14 months to a mani & pedi at grin nails and the woman that did my mani/ pedi was Sally. She was extremely rough. She took a chunk of skin off my toe with nail clippers after I told her I already trimmed my toe nails. Her version of a foot massage was digging her nail into my foot and each toe. It was painful. She also made both my ring fingers bleed when cutting my cuticles. Lastly, I couldn't understand her at all. Really a shame that this happened because I used to like going to grin nails until this past time. I'll have to find a new place to go now. read more

One of my favorite place! Everyone has smile face and the employees were very friendly. I got a manicure and pedicure. I like the deluxe spa because long massage and paraffin treatment are very good. Good things first: the atmosphere is pretty nice, especially when compared to that of other salons I've been to. There's no crap-spewing tv, just calming music. I like the cushy couches in lieu of cheesy massage chairs. The pedicure is nicely done if you get the good ones to do them for you. Once in a while you come across a bad one, but on the whole they do a good job with the pedis. Bad: that boss man! I'm pretty sure he's the owner because of the way he saunters up and down the place with his hands clasped behind his back. Tied up with him is the cleanliness factor: I saw no sanitizing blue liquid or blue uv lights or anything. Only a little container at the manicure stations, which had leftover nails and cuticles from previous customers in them (super ew). That boss man goes down the pedi line, poking his creepy fingers in the pedicure water as if we ladies weren't capable of feeling the temperature for ourselves. I was unfortunately the last one in the line of chairs, so I got the sum total of all the germs from all the ladies before me. He stands there watching and even takes away magazines from the women working there (who are not busy with customers), saying, "for customer!" in that nazi voice of his. Geez! absolutely beautiful place!! as soon as i walked in i felt calmed. The color selection is pretty good...well stocked in essie. The manicure was one of the best i've ever gotten in the area. They pay attention to detail and do a lot of massaging. i liked the nail dryer (i'm not a fan of the individual ones). The pedicure section is gorgeous. Little mini couches with bamboo tubs. The entire atmosphere is very peaceful and relaxing. I will definitely be going back there to get my weekly manicures. read more

Love this place! My mom and I have been going here for over one year now and I always leave satisfied. I think their pedicures are the BEST and the gel manicures always turn out great also. Would highly recommend this place for thorough and quality service. I noticed in one of the posts it was mentioned about there being no massage chairs for the pedicures. This is true, however, the extensive foot and leg massage that is performed for approximately 10-15 minutes on each leg more than makes up for the mechanical massage you would get from the chair. Went early in the morning when they first opened, there were 4 workers there. My mom and I went for mani/pedi. Pedis went okay, my moms technician did a great message, but trimming, pushing back cuticles was painful!!!! Then we sat in the chairs to get our nails done and was left sitting there for about 20 min. No one came to say there would be a wait or when we would be seen next, we ended up leaving without manicures because we had other plans. Also...... the girl came to put oil on our toes and removed the tissue toe separator too soon and messed up the polish.. needles to say, we didn't have a relaxing spa day cause the one lady was yelling at another worker to fulfill orders. read more

My first time getting a pedicure at this place. Thanks to a review from 7 days ago, I decided to check it out. Smiles and friendliness from everyone working there. I thought $30 for a pedicure was a little pricey but am SOOO glad I decided to stay anyway. I had Cindy who did a great job on my pedicure complete with hot stone and leg/feet massage--added bonus! She did an impeccable job and I wasn't rushed at all. Eyebrow wax was great with Cindy too. I will definitely be back. I have been going to grin nails for years now. Every time I go, the girls are very welcoming and accommodating. I love this place because it's not your noisy, TV blasting nail salon with those awful massage chairs. Grin is quiet with nice comforting Michael búble playing in the background and the softest chairs I could fall asleep in. My nails and toes always look spectacular! Don't let the photos fool you. This place is wayyy too expensive for what you get. They also take forever to finish your nails.

They say it is a 20 minute wait for a manicure. I sit there for 40 minutes, while the two women who walk in after me (pedicure and eyebrows) are taken back for service. HORRIBLE!!!!!! I got a full set and it was the worst ever! It was done by the owner herself. The gel polish peeled off within two days so I went elsewhere to have them repainted. The lady looked at my nails and said it was the worst she has ever seen. Thick and uneven....a horrible mess. The Acrylic was coming off that quickly as well. I ended up having them taken off and redone. Not only I was charged $70 for acrylic nails but it took two hours!! I will NEVER go back here. read more

I guess I spoke too soon with my original post. . . I went back to Grin to get a set of acrylic nails and was pretty disappointed. After talking to other people I discovered they charge way too much and they didn't even do a good job, even to my untrained eye. First, it took forever because apparently only one employee there could even do acrylics--you'd think they'd be more prepared on a Friday afternoon. I guess she was the only one who could do a number of services because she kept disappearing to help other clients, leaving me in the hands of someone else who was obviously just killing time so I didn't feel abandoned (she would file my nails but then the other woman would come back and re-do it anyway). She hurt my fingers repeatedly with the sander-thing and got globs of acrylic under my nails, forcing her to go back in and cause more pain to dissolve it and separate it from my skin. I realized after I left that she didn't even make all the nails the same length and one is pretty crooked. Now, a week and a half out, one of the acrylics is lifting from my nail bed (near the cuticle). Plus I see gaps between my real nail and the acrylic tip on 4 fingers and I know that's not right. I'm pretty sure it took over 2 hours!!! I've only had acrylics once before, but the experience was nothing like this one. I also question the cleanliness at Grin. I didn't see any employees washing their hands, wearing gloves or masks, and I don't even want to think about the tools. . . I didn't see sterilization machines like I have at other nail places. I consider myself lucky that I didn't end up with an infection and I won't be going back. I've heard Diva Nails in Doylestown is much better. . . read more

Quick update that they replaced my beloved pedicure chairs (which were basically upholstered cushy chairs you would find in someone's living room) with regular pedicure chairs (high, bowl attached, option to massage your back).. Bummer! But, their pedicures are still fabulous! read more
