Man was this a disappointing day. Finally get a Moms only spa day and was just left so underwhelmed and disappointed. I was greeted by the front desk lady Sunday who was nice enough but as soon as she walked me into the locker room disappeared. I told her I had been once but a very long time ago and was back because I heard they remodeled. She didn't offer to show me around or anything literally disappeared. I got locked out of my locker had to wait around for staff. One of the spas wasn't working so it only left one to be super crowded inside. The outdoor pool area where we ordered some food was large but dirty / unkept. My massage was pretty bad as well...I thought my therapist was checking his phone multiple times after no hands on my body for multiple few minute segments. It was so disappointing. When I checked out, the gentleman asked me if I would like to leave an additional tip and I said I wasn't very happy with my massage services so that added gratuity already was fine. He didn't ask me about anything I was shocked. Just said " have a nice day ". Red rock spa is actually a little cheaper on their prices and the amenities are amazing and the staff is super attentive. I should've just gone there. Really just underwhelming and disappointing. read more

I called Spa Aquae to inquire if I can schedule either a day use or treatment using an old Groupon coupon with a payment value and I planned to pay the difference myself. I left 2 messages with 2 different staff members and was told the manager was going to call me back and let me know. I gave the coupon information and codes to verify it is real and the payment noted at time of purchase. Unfortunately, the promotion ended when it was bought but amount paid is still reflected on the coupon. Groupon site states, "Expired: Vouchers that have expired can still be used for their paid value if the fine print of the deal states that the amount paid never expires." In my second call, I was told the manager was at lunch and will be returning in 40 minutes. I never received a call back so I decided to call them again. I was initially placed on hold and was told my wait time was approximately 1 minute. After being on hold for approximately 3 minutes, a recording came in that said the spa was closed and to leave a voicemail message which I did. I called at 3:43 pm. The message stated the spa is open until 7 pm and their website stated 9 pm. Somehow that does not make sense. As a customer, I would like to assume that proper customer service includes addressing questions or inquiries from potential customers. I had an expectation that Spa Aquae, with a JW Marriott brand connection, has high customer standards and would be willing to address customers even if it is not a question they usually get or if they have to give the customer a not so good news. The basic idea from a customer perspective, is that a reputable establishment with a high reputation and brand such as Spa Aquae would address and communicate with potential customers. Overall disappointing. Checked in and was brought to the locker room where they asked me if it was my first time there, I replied with yes, but they just showed me my locker did not show me around at all, no tour of the facilities or explanation. I get in my robe for my service not knowing where to go next and no employees to be found. Eventually someone comes to get me and I receive my facial. When the service was done I was really looking forward to using all the facility had to offer and ordering food by the pool. I got out of the pool and there were no towels and again no employees to request one. I drip dried for 30 min and eventually someone came out but by then I was dry. Then I went to order food but didn't have wifi, again tried to find an employee to ask about getting on wifi to order food and couldn't fine one! Not one outside by the pool nor inside the facility. I gave up ordering food and went to take an everything shower but couldn't find razors. When I eventually tracked someone down probably 20 min later she informs me they are out of razors. It took me 3 showers before I finally found one not slowly dripping water and had somewhat of water pressure. After my shower with my still hairy legs and can't find a brush for my hair, take another 20 min to track someone down again and what do you know, out of hair brushes too! All the little things that you would expect from a luxury spa and a day of pampering weren't there. Maybe it was an off day but a very disappointing birthday celebration to say the least. And as a local, I know of plenty of fabulous spas just down the road that have never been out of basics like towels, hair brushes, razors, and employees. read more

I booked this place for an entire wedding and surprisingly it was a breeze. There were 13 of us so I booked 2 sapphire booths which came with 2 champagne bottles and two gifts for bride&groom. Cyn was so helpful throughout the process and made everything so easy especially with all the questions/changes I had. I love that in each side they have a wet&dry sauna, hot tub, cold plunge pool, meditating room, and a thing called a delunge which is essentially a pressured waterfall on you to relax. They also offer a co Ed sauna and steam room outside, and it's first come first serve on the lounge chairs. The package we I booked allowed for us to be there for 3.5hrs which is more than enough time. Plus they have everything you need to get ready afterwards. For the price that we paid, it's incredibly worth it especially compared to the ones on the strip. I'll be visiting again soon just for their day pass. read more

I brought three friends for a Monday afternoon at the spa, and we left very disappointed. While the facials and massages were enjoyable, the overall general spa service fell short. There were no attendants available for questions or assistance, and clean towels weren't available at the outdoor pool until later in the morning. The used towel bins were overflowing most of the day. We also had to keep going inside for water, as none was provided outside. The outdoor steam room was unbearably hot, causing burns on our feet and shins, so we had to leave after just two minutes (the indoor steam room was much better regulated). The outdoor seating area by the pool also had dirty cushions, making it unwelcoming. Overall, the experience was not up to the standards we expected. When we ordered $150 worth of food, it took 45 minutes for the waiter to bring it out, and even then, only three of the four meals arrived, with none of the drinks. We had to ask three more times over the next hour for the final meal, and our friend eventually had to go into the casino to get it herself. To top it off, the service charges and gratuity were added automatically, leaving us no option to tip based on the actual service we received. After the food debacle, we were never offered a discount or reimbursement. They apologized verbally, but did nothing to rectify the fact that one of our friends had to wait 2 full hours for her lunch. read more

The deluge was something I've never seen before in a spa. It was...interesting. A little to much for me, but cool to try once. Need more loungers outside. The employees were available and nice. The facility's were very clean, and robes were soft! If you are planning a bridal/ bachelorette spa day. Please be mindful of other spa goers. We are there to relax and have quite. I went on a weekend and a large party of young women were incredibly loud and rather inconsiderate of other guests. This place was absolute trash. Nothing like they advertise. I was quoted 3 different prices from over the phone, to email, to in person. I am sure they won't comment on this as they seem to only comment on the positive reviews. There were no drinks or snacks. The towels were limited and dirty. It felt more like a big gym rather than a relaxing spa. 10/10 would not recommend anyone to come here especially for the prices. You're much better off going to a real hotel spa where the front desk is nice, understands, and they don't argue with you about the misquoted email THEY sent you. read more

I planned a bachelorette spa day here and it was everything the bride could've wanted! From start to finish the experience was amazing. We started with relaxing in the sauna before our massages which were amazing. After that we spent our time switching from all the different amenities that were offered like the steam room, the cold pool, the jacuzzi, the sauna, etc. We also rented one of the lounge areas to relax in afterwards. Fantastic experience! I am a local and have been here many times over the past 15 years. Every time is great. But today was the best! They've recently remodeled, refreshing the decor a bit and added 4 Peloton bikes! But the reason for my review is that I experienced the best massage I've ever had in the States. (2nd only to the Waldorf in Pedregal, if you haven't been, it's life changing!). I did a 50 min bamboo deep tissue with Donnell. He is extremely talented. That was my first time getting a bamboo massage, and I would highly recommend it if you like deep pressure and really need your muscles worked. Also, locals get 20% off even during the weekend, which is super rare in Vegas. My only complaint, if I had to try and find something, would be the robes. They are older terry cloth style. If updated to a softer material, it would add to the experience. read more

My Mother & I thought that spending multiple hundreds of dollars on a massage would warrant a positive experience for my 78 year old Father. That would be a NO NO NO NO...... He said that by the time he had his robe on; was escorted through several different hallways and corridors; and got on the table. The front desk was ok, the manicure was just good, but I had an outstanding experience at this spa today and it was chiefly due to Ryan the Mens spa attendant. He was cordial, professional, attentive, but not intrusive. It's immediately apparent by his tone of voice, mannerisms, and overall approach that he has been at this a long time. This review is for the salon in the spa. I have never used any of the spa services. I booked an appointment last week after never having been before. I was a little nervous because I have curly hair and have had many disasters at the hair salon in the past. The booking process was easy and the receptionist on the phone was very helpful. I saw Elena. I just cannot say enough good things about her. I got a highlight with some low lights and a haircut and I am overwhelmingly happy with the results. Elena took her time and listened intently to all my requests. I can be really picky and my hair can be tricky and she took everything I said into account. My hair has never looked or felt better. I am so so happy with the results and I will most certainly be going back. Elena is the best! read more

It figuratively and literal stunk!...like sewage stunk. I love love a good spa day and don't mind paying for it. I'm local and had heard this spa was terrific. I didn't even do a walk-through first because it had been recommended by a friend and the reviews were excellent. The first thing I noticed is that it didn't smell "nice" like spas usually do...an amazing feast for the senses. I hit the restroom area and there was something certainly for the senses...it was sewage smell. After you left that immediate area it wasn't very bad. The upstairs bathroom was not as bad, but still smelled. We had a couples massage and the smells were nicer in the treatment area. The massage was fine, but honestly forgettable. Afterwards, the smell from he bathrooms hit me in the face again and I thought, this is ridiculous. I asked to speak to the manager so I could bring it to his attention. Maybe since he was male he didn't go in the female spa side and wouldn't have any way of knowing. He said no one told him and that he would get maintenance on it. I also suggested that something good smelling to cover it up might go a long way. Heck, Pine-sol would have gone a long way! Everything looked fresh and new (I believe it was recently renovated), and the layout was unusual, e.g. the sinks were across from the shower stalls instead of the restroom stalls...which were a shortish walk away. That wouldn't have impacted my assessment, just an observation. Also the locker area setup was cramped and the staff directed us to lockers that were side-by-side together, which may make her tracking easier but as a consumer meant I needed to wait to use my locker because my friends were on either side of me. I think they could stagger lockers. The indoor little pool was 70 degrees!...so useless. One of the showers was broken, the hot tub wasn't very hot. So we went outside. The outside was great and if it hadn't been raining I would have spent more time. A better spa menu could have kept me around longer as well. We went back inside an hour or so later...the smell was still there. We decided to leave, they didn't have a spinner to extract water from bathing suits or bags to put your wet suit in. Overall, we felt like it had the right look, and the staff were nice, but it didn't measure up to my other experiences. We left to eat and chose not to go back. read more

The spa at JW is probably the best feature of the hotel. I did a day pass for two days and my wife booked massage appointments. Very clean facilities. Pretty large gym area (with peloton bikes - login required). The pool is a little small but large enough for the number of guests that were there. We didn't even bother spending much time at the main hotel pool, this pool area was better for us. The staff was very friendly and helpful. You can order limited food/drinks poolside, via a phone app but it's a little slow and expensive. The bar and restaurants are only a 2 min walk away, so I recommend just going and getting food/drinks and bringing it back. You can bring in food and drinks as long as they're not in a glass cup. It's faster and much less expensive. The indoor steam rooms and hot/cold plung pools are great! By far my favorite aspect of the spa. For the price, I would definitely recommend getting the day pass! read more

Tucked away due to construction, they were very welcoming. Spa has the fitness center embedded within. Coupon book received at check-in provides a bath bomb for free, that's right, no strings attached. Hand it over and get a big fat bath bomb. Pool at the fitness center is a decent size considering they have a very large resort pool as well. Multiple jets and shoulder jets which are great for a post work out. Wife went and relaxed in a lounger and I got a mini work out session prior to joining her. Most of the time there is an attendant in the locker room who will aid with how to utilize the locker and provide amenities. They also have a great selection of spas, hot tubs and cool pools to unwind in. Was impressed with the waterfall shower. It's a shower stall you walk into, take a couple steps down and you insert your feet in a 2 ft by 1.5 Ft area that has warm water swirling. Than a large pipe opens up above you mimicking the feel of a waterfall spraying you down. Was more of a novelty in my opinion. All in all if we had more time we would have scheduled massages but we were on a quick trip to vegas, in and out. read more

They have renovated all the areas since then so everything was clean and the staff was great. We had a great time, even had lunch by the pool. I would not recommend this spa! My Dad has stage 4 cancer and was having a bad day so his wife could not make it. They charged her $109 for cancellation fee. They would not give me a receipt at the end of the visit for my services and her charge when I asked. They also neglected to tell me that the majority of the amenities were not opened when I booked the appointment. Had I known that, I would not have booked at this time until everything was up and running. That's the best part about going to a casino spa is being able to use all the amenities and 95% of it was closed. Although my massage therapist was wonderful I was very disappointed with everything. This place is like heaven. And the services provided are just heaven. I mean I know a spa day is always heaven, but this one was extra special, because they go the extra mile and take care of you like no others have before. Especially my massage therapist Dulce. The Spa offers many different services, but I was here for the intuitive (deep-tissue) massage. And it was done by Dulce. And just like the name she was very sweet. Lol. She was really good at what she did. She really knew how to get deep in the tissue and provide some really good pressure and get all the built up tension out. Really great pressure applied, really worked out all the kinks and knots in my muscles and back area. I went there for a relaxing massage and got more than just a relaxing massage. Got some lower back pain issues taken care of and was totally worth this trip. I would definitely go back and get another deep tissue massage because, not only does it feel good right after, but also feels really good on your body for the following couple weeks to a month. And of course would be with the Sweet Dulce ! She knows a thing or 2 about deep tissue massage and will make your pains and aches go away and make you feel relaxed and refreshed leaving the Spa. read more

Decided to try out a different day spa with my friend on Saturday. Experience started ok few of their facilities were not working, however we each had a few treatments. After our treatments we were hopeful to relax by the spa pool and get some food and drinks, however all of the loungers were occupied. I asked the spa manager Deon if we could use one of the "day beds" to which he said there was a fee. I then explained that we didn't want one, however there was no place to sit. He said no, but did offer a discount of $100. I explained again that we just spent $800 on services, and that we really just wanted a place to sit and grab some food. He offered the concrete pool deck. Really disappointed for a few reasons, most notably we are Vegas locals and were hopeful to be return customers. Another manager called after we left very disappointed and offered 2 day passes. We declined and will not be back. Its always interesting how companies will offer more to upset customers rather that just offering a place for us to sit and eat. read more

The ambience and music is calm and inviting and my Massage therapist (DJ) understood the assignment! I told him how I felt and what I was looking for in a massage, I wanted to feel relax and calm and DJ delivered. After my session i truly wanted to just lay there in peace! The steam room, sauna, hot tub and waterfall shower was delightful and relaxing after the massage. She went over a couple extra minutes as I was her last appointment of the day and added hot stones to ease the knots in my shoulders as she saw the need. It is disappointing to feel like the aesthetician was focused on trying to sell their products throughout the facial. It didn't feel so sales focused on previous visits.
