I went to Dr. Batcheller for Plantar Fasciitis. I was in Park City for a month when my Plantar Fasciitis flared up. In searching for PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) treatments, I came across PRF and Dr. Batcheller. When I called on the phone to ask whether Dr. Barcheller had ever treated plantar fasciitis, the receptionist would not give me an answer. She said I needed to come in (appointments are $450). That should have been my first warning signal. I went in and she filmed me answering a bunch of questions that had nothing to do with my PF. After talking with her, I decided to do the treatment ($1950). She wasn't even really set up to work on a foot. I was in a dentist chair while she was working on the bottom of my foot. I've had PRP multiple times for various overuse/sports-related injuries (achilles, plantar fascia, high hamstring). Usually, you are face down when the work on the foot/achilles and the doctor probes the foot to find the most tender area. Then the doctor numbs the surface of the area with lidocaine (you can't mix the lidocaine with PRP or PRF because it counteracts the healing) or uses a nerve block because getting a shot in your foot or achilles is pretty painful. No lidocaine. I received 3 tiny injections which did NOTHING! Since first giving Dr. Batcheller's office my phone number, I have been inundated with multiple text messages per week. I've tried to block them and they just keep coming. My next call is going to be to the Better Business Bureau.

It usually takes about 3 months to get out of pain and another 3 months of rehab to break down scar tissue. I went to Dr. Giselle Batcheller's office to get a laser treatment because she told me it would accelerate my recovery. I did not expect to have such a dramatic improvement after ONE treatment. Before I went to her office I could barely put my shoes on. I couldn't lay on my back. I struggled to walk, bend over--Like the song says, "I'm alright, it only hurts when I breath." While this location does feel a bit off the beaten path, it's worth the trip knowing I'll leave feeling perfectly satisfied with the result! I especially recommend seeing Shelbie for a shampoo. She gives an amazing scalp massage and has the touch of an angel. The washroom is cozy and dimly lit, and the chairs are ridiculously comfortable (perhaps too comfortable if you fall asleep as easily as I do). They carry a wide selection of high-end products, which makes it nearly impossible to leave without buying something. The products sell themselves, so you never have to deal with the dreaded pushy salesmanship you find at other salon establishments. I have entirely upgraded my hair care routine thanks to the help and knowledge of the stylists at Lit! I adore the Kevin Murphy product line, and have also become obsessed with the scent of the Oribe products. They keep the Oribe hand soap and hand créme by the bathroom sink, so make sure to stop in for a little hand treatment before leaving. From start to finish, the entire experience is always relaxing and rejuvenating!

She is not only a delight to spend time with but also does a wonderful job with cleaning, massaging and painting. What really confused me about my experience was the general lack of warm reception, little effort to encourage relaxation and comfort and especially the sketchy pricing. I was excited to be given a voucher by the hotel for a discount off a service but was charged for a more expensive service than what I received with a confusing explanation and ultimately ended up paying equal if not more. Overall I think my time with Julie was totally awesome but I've left moderately surprised and uneasy about the holistic experience, feeling mildly taken advantage of. Convenient but get costs up front and not a particularly luxurious experience.
