First the injections are not Botox and will do nothing and when you return for the follow up , they will try to sell you - trick you actually - into buying an expensive "Botox Club " that will not be Botox but may be Xiomen that does not work on everyone . Spa Black is merely an okay establishment. The staff could be more professional, I too have noticed on several occasions that the protective eye wear could use some serious cleaning, and their laser REALLY HURTS! Of course, you should expect pain a with any laser hair removal treatment, however, this laser is just awful! I've been to several other places and Spa Black's laser is the absolute worst. The technicians almost always give off the vibes that they just want to zoom through their clients to get home or something. This place is horrible. I finally got tired of calling them for appointments only go be told there are no openings for 2 months. I have only used 1/6 sessions so I asked if I could just use my balance for other services(facials). The receptionist said yes then proceeded to tell me that the next available appointment will also be in November!!! What?! I have never heard of an spa, not even famous ones, that takes two months to make an apt for a facial! This place is a nightmare. They need to hire more staff to handle the large client volumes. Horrible experience with their injector Rebekah . I would not recommend you go with her. She is a complete mess and is not a great injector . I'm writing this review to help out anyone who may be considering getting fillers. I don't want anyone to feel the way I have felt for the past 6 months. I am 38 and got my fillers done at the beginning of January here. I wanted fillers for my nasalobial folds, or marionette lines but didn't need much, but I didn't know that at the time bc I didn't do my research. I simply went in for a consultation so I could learn more before making a choice but was almost pressured into this deal... I could only get this deal if I paid right there and then. So I did. But I didn't get the actual work done until a week later. So I did. I don't remember the name of this filler and I'll mention why in a bit. I enjoyed the first bout of this filler and was told that I could come back in two weeks if I wanted more or had any issues. So I noticed that one side seemed to have more filler than the other so I went back specifically telling Rebekah this. I really only wanted it to be symmetrical. They could not find my file! Then she suggested I get Radiesse bc it lasts longer, even though she didn't know what type of filler I had gotten before. I trusted her though, bc she mentioned how she's done this for several years with no complaints... Ladies, please DO not get Radiesse in your face as it is NOT dissolvable. Instead of doing what I asked, she put lots of filler in my cheekbones to lift them up to pull my face up and diminish my marionette lines more. This, in turn, has made my face look more puffy, my eyes smaller, my nose wider and I have bags under my eyes that weren't there. It is evident that I got way more than needed. While my lines are not as prominent, I hate the overall appearance of my face now. I cried the first week and hoped my face was just swollen. But here I am 6 months later and the past 6 months have been so hard for me. I truly wish I never got anything done to my face. I was just fine before. Now, I'm too ashamed to even take pics. I don't look like me. I cry so much and self esteem is lower than ever. Please don't let anyone con you into buying a package or getting work done when you're not ready. Do you research. And DO NOT get Radiesse. I hope this helps someone out there. I do not want this to happen to you. read more

Significant facial bruising, numerous broken blood vessels and black dye under my eyes and even on my cheek but absolutely none on my outer eyelashes. I've read some mixed reviews but have to say that I had an incredible experience! Not only was the ambiance relaxing, and not synthetic like some Medical Spa's, the staff was courteous, professional and helpful with not just the check in process but the after care instructions. I went for a more Aesthetic service and got face waxing (brow, lip and the dreaded I'm almost 30 and have to wax my chin), in addition to a brow and lash to tint. My Esthetician, Astrid, was one of the LVN's on staff and was incredibly knowledgeable and delicate with my sensitive skin. I have also received a Microdermabrasion from her in the past and she took great care of my skin and its sensitivities. While I have not yet received a Medical treatment at Spa Black, based on my experience alone I would highly consider it and value the staff's expert opinion! read more

My experience at Spa Black was fine. The staff was professional and courteous, however, my Botox treatment appeared to be ineffective. I used a Groupon, and I'm not sure if they provide a lower grade or less effective product to compensate for the discounted rate. I do not approve of the results and will take my business elsewhere. I am really surprised that this place got some bad reviews. I have been there 10 times and had positive experiences every time. Granted, some processes you request are uncomfortable if done right. If you want a good, noticeable result you might have to put up with a little discomfort. I was warned about this. I was so happy with the result compared to MANY other media-spas I have been to, that I won't go anywhere else. They lasered my leg veins and it did hurt. BUT, for once I got real results! I was always treated well. Sometimes I had to wait a few minutes but that is no different than any doctor's office. I had a consult with Dr. J and he was so complete that he picked up on a medical condition that had eluded by regular doctor and may have saved my life! So against my better judgment I decided to make an appt for cool sculpting here at spa black. My consultation seemed very promising that with 6 treatments I would lose the stubborn fat around my waist that going to the gym and eating right was doing. I was told to drink plenty of water and I could continue my regular diet and exercise. After my treatments I was told it takes a couple of months to actually show results. My body looks exactly the same the only thing cool sculpting did do was leave the suction mark on my stomach for a couple of months. I've never written a review but after spending 3,600 on something that is completely useless, I'd rather someone reading this rethink it because if it sounds to good to be true it is . I got laser hair removal here and had a great experience. The staff members were kind and attentive. The nurse who did my treatment kept me distracted in conversation during the procedure and the pain was more than manageable. She was also quick, which I appreciated. As I was leaving, they easily scheduled me for my next appointment. I have not had any trouble making an appointment here, but I also have day-time availability because I'm a student. The fact that they're busy really shouldn't be as negative of an aspect as other reviews make it since it means they're popular. I think the size of their location limits their availability since they didn't seem understaffed. The location near the medical center is a huge plus for me though so I don't mind. Got Xeomin at Spa Black and it was ineffective. I'm not sure what they used, but I've been using Xeomin off and on for a while now and it has always worked until I tried it there. Since it was a groupon I wonder if it's diluted, old, or even expired. Not sure, but the bottom line is that it didn't work at all. I also did the laser for snoring and it was a waste of my money. These people are scammers. I spent $200 on 40 units of Botox and all I got was a bruised forehead; not even minimal results after 3 weeks. The RN said I must be one of those people that metabolizes Botox immediately and won't see results or I have super strong facial muscles requiring more units. They told me I should come back in and pay for more of their Botox to see if that will work. Um, I think not! Also, they don't use Botox they use xeomin. Be warned! read more

My first experience was about 3 years ago with Dr Jeneby for radius. He was quick, didn't explain much but procedure went well anyways. I have been twice since then for the same procedure but with a "filler" staff by the name of Priscilla. Both procedures were done unprofessionally, quickly, rushed and hurried. Not only did she not use the product correctly, she gave me severe bruising, (which I had never experienced before) and tried to up sell me products and services I did not need. I bought a coupon through groupon for laser hair removal. Actually one of my friends had gone there for two sessions and she told me that they have a really good laser machine. Anyways, I went there for the first session a woman called April did the first treatment for me. The second session when I went there they said April had left here and Lani will do the treatment for you. I said ok that's fine. Since I went to the room she started saying that all of April patient were burnt and she was not good... Anyways she did the treatment for you. As soon as I got home I saw three big areas of burn in my face I freaked out I called them they said maybe the scar will leave forever!!!!!!! Also the hair growth didn't decrease for that session and it was like I didn't get the treatment. For the next session I said I don't wanna work with Lani again. They said okay Stephanie will work for you and we are sure you'll be satisfied and yes I was happy. BUT, the story doesn't finish here. This is their policy whenever they find out one of their staff is putting the frequency on the optimum frequency they will kick that person out. So for the next session when I went there they said Stephanie doesn't work here anymore!!!! And Patricia will do the treatment for you, who as they said was Stephanie's teacher. OMG, she was such an amateur clinician. No results at alll!!!!! The frequency was as low that I could say as if the machine was off. So as you see till now ; sessions for different clinician! Which two of them were kicked out because of doing the correct treatment for their patients by the clinic. The other two was acting as if the machine is theirs and they have to maintain the machine by decreasing the frequency.( because as you know by the time and using the special frequency frequently the machine will merge) And while discussing with my friend the exact thing had happened for her and she was saying that we have to go to the owner and complain. read more

I had the worst facial at Spa Black with Patricia. It was not relaxing, and only lasted 40 minutes, instead of the full one hour. The extractions lasted about 3 minutes. I spent money to basically have her wash my face a few times and put a mask on. There was no massage, no relaxing music, barely any steam, basically no extractions. I will never go back to this place again, I had an appointment on a Thursday for botox injections, that Saturday I woke up with a droopy eyelid on my right side and my left eyebrow was lifted, the right one did not move at all, had no movement. I called right away and they did not schedule me for an apt until later that week, I did attend the apt, but was told by the person who did the injections, "it would fix itself" and to come back in 2 weeks, it did not get better, but worse. At my 2 week apt, she injected me with more botox and said it would adjust my eyebrows and fix my eyelid. It did not! I had to wait for the botox to wear off, however months later my eyelid has never completely gone back to the way it looked before. I went to Radiance Spa, they were able to inject me with less Botox and fix the issue, smooth out my forehead, and provide me with eyebrow lifts, I love the results! I will never go back to Black Spa again even with the Groupon they offer or the Discount club they offer!!!!! read more

While the setting of the spa seems a tad dubious at first, I have to say that their laser hair removal is absolutely fantastic! I have had excellent results with their laser treatments, and definitely am going back for more! I have gone to other places for laser hair removal and have had either no results or results that took countless treatments. At spa Black, I've had excellent results within a very reasonable amount of treatments. I would highly recommend anyone wanting laser hair removal to come here. If you book your appointments when you are there and for several weeks in advance you won't have an issue with getting them. Sometimes it gets a bit difficult to schedule but as mentioned, if you plan and book in advance, you should be able to book with no problem.
