I was a first time visitor. I utilised the Groupon coupon for the Wellness package. Excellwnt coupon, btw. It allowed for a great variety of services to experience. Like a spa buffet:)  I was greeted immediately in a friendly manner by front desk. The lobby area is beautiful as is every other area I saw in the spa.  Clean, comfortable, serene. Lynne, my spa massuese, came to greet me. She is fantastic. I can't say enough great remarks about her. She was sweet, knoweledgeable, easy to be comfortable around, great massuese, really helped on problem areas on my back and Piriformis. She was great at transitioning between experiences and rooms. Great staff, horrible management an customer service... My friend gave my a massage as a B day present. As i was leaving I was asked if i wanted to book a future session. I replied yes with the understanding i would have to be given a phone reminder of a week due to my schedule.. fast forward, no reminder given, i get a call 2hrs b4 the session. I exsplain i cant make it. Im then informed i will be charged for the session?. I protest to know avail... but heres the kicker..,THEY DONT HAVE A CARD ON FILE FOR ME SO THEY CHARGE MY FRIENDs CARD WITHOUT HER KNOWLEDGE. CAN WE ALL SPELL "FRAUD" 2GETHER... First time here at Spa D'Sante and didn't get a good vibe just walking in. Wasn't greeted pleasantly and just asked "You have an appointment?" Then I said yes and then was told to have a seat and someone would be right out to get me. This is my first time here ever. I asked if there was paperwork that needed to be filled out and I was told no. That seemed a little different to me since I've been to over ten massage businesses and had to fill out paperwork as a new client. I wasn't offered any water, which was also a first at a massage business. Maybe the lady was just having a bad day, who knows, but already not wanting to purchase a membership. As far as the massage, WOW!! I was IMPRESSED TO THE MAX!! I had Ricky as my masseuse and wow he was great. My rating would be 5 stars because of him alone, but the younger lady up front just killed my vibe. So I went here because of the reviews. I just had the worse Experience by massage therapist that I've ever had. I had the foot and body massage. The therapist seem brand new and very green to what they were supposed to be doing. Once I got my feet "" cleaned which I thought was a massage not a cleaning. I went into do my massage I came out hurting worse than I did when I went in. All he did was pressure point areas. Didn't use enough lotion. And was pulling my skin the entire time. There was no way for me to tell the receptionist as he was standing right there. I don't know if this is a one time case or just the therapist but it was awful. read more

The part where my face was resting on the massage table was not comfortable at all. It was not relaxing. Overpriced for sure! Update one week later: I received an apology from management which was nice. Clearly I was nowhere near getting my money back. She said the person who did my massage has never had any complaints. I remember watching him running down the hall hoping to catch me before I made my way to the front desk because he finished my massage too soon. I booked a "Escape and Rejuvenate Package" through a gift certificate I received. My appointment was for a Saturday morning. The waiting area is nice, with big comfy couches, not that I sat long. Nikki was my therapist. She took my back to the massage room, explained everything she was going to do during my appointment, had a robe and flip flops ready for me to change into, and a cabinet with a key to lock my belongings up in. The first service was a Venetian shower with a sea salt scrub and mud masque treatment. I want one of these in my house! I was so relaxed. This was my first time having anything like this. From there, we went back to massage room, where I had my massage. Then ended with a facial in the same room. I give high compliments to Nikki. She was one of the best massage therapists I have ever had give me a massage. The rooms were nice and quiet and blocked out most of the hallway noise. The temperature in the rooms was very comfortable, and I liked Nikki gave me the option of having a table warmer on or off during the massage. I've been a Spa D'Sante client for about 10 years, have visited the Broadway location most often (which is wonderful!), but recently moved to the San Pedro/Thousand Oaks location. This spa location is equally good! I found a new favorite massage therapist (my "old" therapist quit to pursue a nursing degree), and this location is even more convenient for me -- with more available parking!! Love the training they receive, the nice music they play while we wait and while we are being pampered, and I love the professionalism of the staff. Thank you, Esther!!! read more

Recently visited the spa with my husband to redeem a Body and Sole package for two that we received. Immediately felt at ease with the environment when we walked in - the director/manager of the facility greeted us and asked if we needed anything before we got started. The room, ambiance, demeanor of both of our masseuse (Rosa and Melanie) was just so comforting. Both continually asked how we were doing and asked how if things were too warm, was it too dark, was the chair relaxed enough, etc. I could go on and on, but this review would be five pages long. I am very particular about people I do not know touching me, and told this to the masseuse and she complied and let me know how/when she was going to proceed with next step of the massage. Approximately 45 minutes in length with chilled glasses of water to keep us hydrated. The next step was that we moved into a separate massage room. I chose only to have my neck and shoulders worked on because that is where I typically carry my stress. Again, Rosa and Melanie were so accommodating and comforting. Rosa, my masseuse, wanted me to be as comfortable as possible. She worked slowly from my neck, to my thoracic area, lats, and traps. She even completed some deep tissue pressure point massages on me but explained what she was doing before she proceeded. After all was complete, each masseuse gave us proper time to "shake awake" because both my husband and I were so relaxed. Ms. Rosa explained her techniques again and why she did what she did. Ms. Rosa was quite knowledgeable in why I was feeling so stressed in certain areas and why it was more nerve than muscle in other areas. And I know Ms. Melanie was amazing to, because my husband being a 20+ year Army veteran, she was very careful to not exacerbate any of his back and neck injuries that he has sustained. I did not want this experience to end. I gave both women a good tip and immediately booked my next appointment in approximately one month. I would go sooner if I could afford it. Kay was my massage therapist and I have to say if I could hire her to follow me around I totally would. She was also lovely company while my sister and I got our massage. The other Rose was amazing too my sisters only complaint was that she used all short motions instead of running through from insertion to connection which we are just not used too. Both were very pleasant and comforting. But Kay has the magic hands. If I could steal her away and hire her to be an in house therapist, she would be the one. Best massage I've ever had. I always have a great experience here. Massages are fantastic and staff is very friendly. Rooms are cozy and keep outside noise away for a relaxing and calm experience. Only thing I wish was provided are robes and champagne for the couples. Other than that I highly recommend. Prices are very reasonable. read more
