After my flight I really wanted to meet into the experience. I felt the same tension in my shoulders that I jad when I entered. I deeply need a masseuse that can do a deep tissue or its just like paying someone to hydrate your skin. Plenty of parking and restaurants nearby to entertain if you need a distraction. read more

Spa Sydell has been around for years. It's been 20yrs or longer since I've been here. I'm here today bc my husband gifted me a gift card for my birthday. For starters they moved less than a mile from the old location. Very nice area as expected it's Perimeter Mall. :) When I arrived, I was greeted by front desk attendant. She had my check in info ready. Completed the paperwork and I was taken back to the locker room area. Changed into the robe waited to be called. I waited maybe 20 min or less. Appointment was at 12:15. So right on time Sharon was the masseuse. She walked me back asked if I've been there before and when was the last massage. My profile noted "medium" pressure. This was more of a lathering of unknown oils. There was no pressure. I felt like I came in - tensed + tight. I felt bad my husband bought the gift card here but he didn't know I hadn't been here in years. It was a $150 gift card . As I was checking out she stated I have $25 remaining that is available on my profile. I'm standing there like how is it only $25 remaining. 60 min massage. There is a $10 charge for scalp/head massage. I thought the massage was $60 but it had to be more . I'm waiting for a call back regarding an explanation of charges. First time at Spa Sydell. I made an appointment online and received a text message asking for gender preferences and gift card information. This was great because it allowed my closing transaction to go super smooth and there was no need for me to have to keep the physical gift card. I arrived about 10 minutes early to sign forms. I had a massage and facial. Everything went smoothly and everyone was very professional and explained everything. It was calming and serene. The only thing that didn't give it a 5 star rating was it just wasn't 5 star appearance. It reminded me of a massage envy (ie transactional experience) not a SPA experience if that makes sense. I use to frequent the old location at the forum Peachtree corners. Once that closed I started going to a few other spas and I could never really find what I liked. Just know that we are back in business with this location. I was hesitant for so long to come out to the other locations but a friend of mines suggested we try it out! Charles was my masseuse and he was spot on with his deep tissue massage techniques he suggested the CBD oil and it left me feeling like i was walking on a cloud. The inside of the spa decor is very beautiful throughout, peaceful and relaxing. The lady at the front desk was very attentive and nice. She made it a pleasure to be there from the start. My bf and I recently went to Spa Sydell for our anniversary. I went in for a body polish and he wanted a deep tissue massage. My massage therapist was David. He was very kind, patient and very thorough with the body scrub. I would absolutely go back again for it. I do suggest that they let clients know in advance not to wear jewelry, wrap up hair and to bring extra undergarments if you choose not to go completely nude due to the salt getting everywhere. This was thee WORST massage that I have ever received. Not only was it less than average service, during my massage the service provider (Anichia) opened the door without my permission. I felt very exposed and disrespected because she failed to consult with me. WHO would want a door open while people are walking by and could easily see inside my room? No One! She was clueless and had the audacity to ask " Do you want me to close the door"? WTF! I have NEVER had a service provider open a door during my massage I will never patronize Spa Sydell again. To make matters worse when I called and reported it, the person who took my complaint only offered a 20% discount for my NEXT service as opposed to offering to credit my card for today's horrible experience. I absolutely love this place. Zach does my Botox and it was the fastest, easiest botox injections I've ever gotten. I had zero bruising. Robert is my massage therapist and he is on point every time. With Robert, I promise you won't be disappointed with him. His style and techniques are methodical and intentional. He checks in with you on pressure and asks where you'd like him to focus before he starts. Highly recommend booking an 80 minute massage because 60 just isn't enough. Go see for yourself. She specifically tried three separate times to get me to get an add on treatment. MOST ANNOYING THIS EVER WHEN RECEIVING A SPA TREATMENT! For an hour facial, she was out of the room a lot. She would put a cream on my face & the leave for a while. Just not very personable. She made me feel conscious about my skin rather than making me feel relaxed. Horrible! Do not waste your time or money with these fools. I booked an online massage for 3 pm, and they called me the morning of and told me that the male masseuse that they booked me with is "not comfortable with male clients." What kind of homophonic establishment are they running? Then they wanted me to come in at 1:40 for a massage with a female masseuse. I told them that my schedule was planned for the day and that time would not work for me... Silence on the other end of the phone. I asked them what they could do to fix the situation, and they told me they would call me back. When they did, they told me I could now get a massage from a female at 3. So I reluctantly accepted, although female masseuse usually don't have the upper body strength for a deep tissue massage. Then, when I get home, my spouse has a medical emergency, and I have to take them to the ER. I called Spa Sydell back to explain the situation, and they charged me a $50 same day cancellation fee! This whole experience with them was a fiasco. Never again will I use them...and I suggest you don't either. There are too many other spas in Atlanta that have their act together and have empathy for their clients. read more

I had a stretch massage appointment for neck, shoulder, and deltoid tension as well as back tightness. The therapist was incredibly thorough. I was so soothed and in and out of awakeness towards the end because it was so relaxing. The check-in is pretty smooth and their appointment system appears to be up-to-date as my three appointment changes weren't lost in the shuffle. The location is incredibly clean and calming. Called Spa Sydell to schedule an appointment for two 60 minute massages. I had a credit for one 60 minute massage. What I love is that the reservation process is seamless and they always advise of spa specials which I normally purchase when I am low on credits. Also, they email you an appointment reminder. My appointment was on a Saturday morning at the perimeter location; however, when I arrived I realized they moved. No worries, the new location is a short distance away from the original near perimeter mall and there is free parking. It is located upstairs and there are stairs and an elevator for access. As always, Spa Sydell is beautiful and the receptionist was very friendly and knowledgeable regarding services and discounts. We checked in and my friend was advised he could pay after services rendered. There was a short wait and we were led to the waiting area where we were offered lemon water or hot tea. Next we were directed toward the changing room to change into our robes and slippers to prepare for our massage. The changing areas are equipped with lockers to securely store your items, showers, restroom and area to change. My visit was in October and I do not remember the name of my masseuse, but he was great. I arrived tense and left totally relaxed. My friend also enjoyed his massage. I wanted a tour but there were areas still under construction. The spa is newly renovated offering the following services: 1. Membership program 2. Body contouring and Cellulite improvement 3. Aesthetics for face and body 4. Facials 5. Body massages 6. Nails 7. Body treatments I have always had a wonderful experience with Spa Sydell and this visit did not disappoint. I had not been to Spa Sydell in about three years, and wasn't sure I would like the change in location from The Forum to Buckhead, but wanted to try it. I have sciatica and my lower back hurts a lot. I finally was able to book with Anthony, because of his good reviews, and I was not disappointed. He worked the deep tissue massage and targeted my problem lower back. After the hour, I left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated! I took his advice and spent a half hour at home in a tub of hot water with bath salts. Now, I can understand why it is not easy to get an appointment with Anthony, but if you need an outstanding deep tissue massage, you should definitely try. I plan to go back. read more

You know it's bad when you break a very long Yelp hiatus to write a review... This spa is horrible. I received a gift card in the amount of $100 and used it towards a $95 facial. Afterwards, I browsed their product section to see if I wanted to use the remaining balance towards a skincare product but there wasn't anything I wanted purchase. During check out, I asked about the balance ($5), and the lady at the front desk said "it just stays on [your] account". I asked, "What if I want to use it towards a purchase via your online store in the future?" and she looks at me like I'm silly for asking, and says "I don't think it works for online". So, then, I basically lose the $5? Because after her horrible, condescending tone (which I initially got a taste of over the phone when booking my appointment), and the lack-luster service of the facialist, I would never come back. This is an old outdated chain with rude staff. I'm actually appalled this place is still in business and do NOT recommend it. You also can't use the gift card towards tip. Everything is just a "rip off". I had a wonderful experience at Spa Sydell! My husband and I both had a 60 minute massage ($100 ea) and I had my eyelashes ($25) and eyebrows ($20) dyed. The massage therapist (Sean) made sure to ask what kind of pressure I wanted and if there were any areas in particular that needed extra attention. A couple times during the massage, he checked to make sure the pressure was still good. There was also some stretching of the muscles incorporated in the massage, which I liked. We opted for a "couples massage," which meant they opened the door between two rooms. It didn't really end up changing anything because we didn't talk at all during the massage or anything, but I guess I liked that we were both in the room together getting massages. Next was the brows and lashes. Ms. Melina did an excellent job, taking care to make sure my brows were cleaned up (waxed) before doing the dye. She was very friendly and nice, we talked throughout the whole treatment, which took probably around 20 minutes. I am so happy with the results. It's so nice to not have to put on eyebrow pencil and mascara in the morning lol. The overall ambiance is nice with soft music playing, low lighting (lamps and candles), and water and tea available in the waiting room. I have been going to see Melissa and Dr. Kollinger for years. They are the best! Dr. K has done Botox, Kybella, and fillers. I love Dr. K because he will never give you treatments that are too much or fake looking. He is the only person I have ever allowed to do injections on my face and I like having his plastic surgeon background and aesthetic when doing this type of procedure. I am open about my love for these treatments and refer folks to him often. Melissa is awesome! She has done laser, hydro facials, and cool sculpting for my face (she gives me the cheekbones my round face never had before)! She is amazing with her knowledge of lasers and always takes care of her clients with videos and web tutorials related to lasers and skin care. Just want to give Ricki props. She is amazing at her job and gets all the knots out... will definitely be back at this location. It is brand new and it is beautiful and relaxing on the inside. I like the location too, real close to Costco just down the road so I can get a massage after dealing with all that craziness. This is my preferred location now, although I was disappointed they shut down the Kennesaw spot so quickly. If they keep experienced massage therapists like Ricki, they should have no problem staying in this area. 5 stars, I highly recommend her if you are looking for someone to make your day or weekend wonderful. I had a 90 minute reflexology massage and it was wonderful! The spa was extremely clean and the staff was very attentive. I had a couple of gift cards I was redeeming and the staff was very helpful with check in. My massage therapist was Carolyn and she was absolutely fantastic. Had 6 ineffective laser hair treatments. Beautiful facility but poor hair removal results. I have gotten terrific laser hair removal results from other facilities. I think laser hair removal is a newer service for them and I would not recommend getting this type of treatment here. High turnover in technicians. read more
