According to them, they have been in business since 1910. They have a specific system of doing things. It's important to observe. The cafe is divided into two areas, 1) the standup small marble top round tables and outdoor seating and 2) the tables with chairs in the back of the cafe. If you want to sit inside, go to the tables in the back and order with there from the wait staff. In Italy, if you sit at a table, it means you want to consume what you order at the table, period. If you want to stand at the tall tables or sit outside or take away, then order with the cashier. Regardless what you want to order, always start with the cashier. Order all drinks and food with the cashier, pay, then take your receipt to the food side to get your food, similarly take your receipt to the drinks side and get your drinks. Don't try to order drinks or food directly with the people behind those counters. Once you know and follow the process, it's very easy. If not, it can be trying. All that aside, I got a hot chocolate with whipped cream (chocolata calda con panna) and it was delicious. I also got a plain cornet, which was very good.

American/Aussie owned bakery brunch spot by the river, such a cute little eatery. We loved our visit and though it's definitely more of a touristy spot, as most customers spoke English, the food was delicious to forgo the tourist trappy vibes. We shared a plate and added some items as we didn't want to get too stuffed on our first day of Florence. We had the Nduja Eggs plate with bacon and avocado added. Nduja is a spicy Calabrian pepper spreadable pork sauce, and oh boy was it so flavorful. If I remembered correctly, Melaleuca spread this sauce on top of a fried bread and eggs. I don't see it on the menu at the moment and it's probably a rotatable dish... but it definitely kicked started my hunt for the sauce. Since this is a spreadable pork, it's not something I could bring back to the US but I was able to find it online back home. The service was amazing and the beverages were delicious. Like many Italian places, the dining room is small and bathroom is a single small room that might require a small wait if they're busy. Didn't get to try their baked goods this last time, but definitely on our list to go back for more when we're back to Florence for a visit.

While you're here, you might as well grab some food, coffee and/or dessert. We ended up coming here for brunch and got a sandwich, iced Caffe, reg Caffe, and last but not least, the delectable Pistachio Mousse (thx to a tip from a fellow yelper!) I don't know if we were super hungry or what, but all the food at all of the stations looked really, really good. However, I didn't bother w anything I can easily get in the US. If weather permits, definitely chow down on the tables outside. There's a lovely arrangement of tables and canopies, all exquisitely decked out in Gucci-fashion. The VAT refund center is located directly across from the Gucci store, so I ended up coming back a second time to get a €5 Frappuccino. It was a little on the small side and definitely wasn't as tasty as I had hoped. It somewhat resembled a premium version of the Wendy's Frosty...
