Go here if your looking to get punched in the face by a large security card (they prefer hitting girls so if your a guy your all good ). Seriously fun club until someone sneaks into the VIP section, then it turns into WorldStar HipHop. DJ is ok, drinks are expensive but Celime will hook you up if you buy a table. If I could give a zero star review I would. This place is decently fun if you're American but they scam you. No one tells you that you need to keep your receipt. My friend threw his receipt away and showed the bouncer his Bank of America receipt on his phone and they said that wasn't enough. They make you pay at the end and will not let you pay up front if you want to. The bouncer said "I'm just trying to go home and fuck my wife" and repeatedly swore at us as we left. We literally found a random receipt in the trash and they let us leave no problem. This place is an ABSOLUTE SCAM FOR AMERICANS and they are very mean inside. I will never go back here because this place makes you feel like a second class citizen. Everyone that works there is a creepy old man that wants American girls. I heavily advise to stay away unless you have a big squad and are being more careful than you want to. read more

Definitely had a great time closing down this club. Good music selection and you can choose between the upstairs and the downstairs. Found the drinks to be reasonably priced (for a club) and the card system worked well. LADIES BEWARE my friends had an awful time because the guys were very touchy. ***WARNING*** This place is a major tourist trap/scam. At the door you receive a "punch card". Each time you buy a drink you must give the bartender your card, and pay for your drink (average club prices ~$8-10 euro ea). At the exit of the club you are redirected to a payment area where you are charged a price based on how many "stamps" you have on your card. My friends that bought drinks at the bar (which had been paid for) had to pay 27 euro while my friends that didnt drink only paid 10 euro. Crazy dance set up with good music and light show. Awful/rude service. They will shove you, manhandle you, and have an bitter attitude. The drinks are overpriced and leave you worried whether you have enough money to afford to leave the club. The coat check is overpriced at 3 Euro. The crowd is decent. This club is absolutely terrible. First of all, the drinks are expensive but watered down and small. Second of all, they give you a drink card that you must show at the door if you want to exit. If you lose it, you have to pay 50 euros to LEAVE the club. The bouncer told me he would "call the cops on my ass" in retaliation to me explaining that i had no money and I just wanted to peacefully leave. Tried to go a third time with a group of people and as we approached the doors the emergency alarms started going off and people were running out of the building crying, coughing and choking because they had been tear gassed or something. I have mixed feelings about this place. Unlike most other people, I don't mind that Space has a cover charge. It comes with a free drink and I'm going to drink anyway, it just eliminates having to dig out cash at the bar. The drink I got was really strong so I appreciated that! But fair warning, do not lose the drink card or you have to pay a large sum of money! The music on the second level was pretty good. Lots of American pop/dance music but I found that to be common at the clubs in Florence. I really enjoyed the ability to dance on the stage but I did not enjoy the random strippers on the third level. The reviews are right about creepy Italian men that flock to this joint hoping to pick up American girls. I think I had to be "saved" by members of my group like 5 times. When we went downstairs to leave, they were playing old school hip hop and I was really disappointed I didn't dance down there instead. But the worst part of this bar is the security. One guard was chasing after a ridiculously drunk girl and I got caught in the crossfire as he hit me in the face. The guards are just way too aggressive. When my group talked to one of the managers about the incident, he was incredibly unhelpful and I was too upset to stick around and listen to him. One of the worst clubs I have been to, the place is over priced (13 dollars for one Heineken) and packed with kids who look like they're attending a high school homecoming. I am visiting Florence from Los Angeles California and I hadn't found a club, so when I ran into space club I decided to give it a chance regardless of the horrible reviews. Worst mistake ever!! First off the club event we attended was advertised as 20+ and let me tell you, plenty of people that I met inside the club were under 20 and were belligerently drunk throwing up all over the place. I was actually enjoying the music up until my friend came and wasn't being let in. My friend is a professor from India who is in Florence to teach music, and was told he wasn't being let in because he wasn't a student, which is a total complete lie. I am no longer a student myself and was let in without a problem, and there were plenty of Caucasian OLDER women inside the club who were clearly not students. I kept asking the bouncers why he wasn't being let in and they just kept saying he wasn't going to be let in, they didn't let him in till I threatened to leave if they didn't let him come in. Once he was in he checked in his coat and bad in and was forced to get two tickets to pay for each when I had done the same exact thing a little earlier and was only given one ticket to pay for it as one. We ended up leaving right away, but I am extremely disappointed by how racist this club is! I would not recommend this club!! Stay clear! If I could give this club 0 stars I would, but I have to rate it at least one star unfortunately. read more

Here's the thing, don't go here. This is one of the scariest moments I have experienced, and not even just abroad. Obviously it wasn't life threatening, but definitely not a situation I ever thought to be in nor prepared. I was so uncomfortable with my friends. We weren't allowed to leave because we weren't told that the tickets we were handed in the beginning were actually our ticket to leave. The club was by no means worth any amount of money you can pay, everything was overpriced and they didn't play great music. We didn't buy any drinks, but instead kept getting harassed by sweaty men. On our way out, we were pushed back by the guards who wouldn't let us leave and yelled in our face that we needed to pay 10 euros. I witnessed an elderly security guard literally push a girl to the ground and said the get the fuck out because she was worried about her friend who was intoxicated and still stuck inside. I had a security guard grab my arm and drag me back into the club, no matter how many times I said I didn't have any money. I witnessed people getting pushed by the security guards and people crying because they were scared. Luckily a girl gave me her VIP ticket and I got out, where I witnessed tons of other people who went through the same exact thing. All in all, this was the shittiest experience I could have gone through. DO NOT GO HERE read more
