the est was on par with the rest, i specified where i did not want my sod bought from, he agreed and came next day. he made a few trips with a pick up with sod on it. ( 2nd red flag) i came out to check a couple of times, there were about 3-4 workers and a woman overseeing them. when they left, the job wasnt finished because he ran out of sod ( 3d red flag) he came next day after noon to finish
i noticed many areas with uneven hts of sod, missing sod, yellowed grass, and weird space lines throughout with jig saw lines throughout. now, im not from fla and i did not have any experience with how its supposed to look at installation so i took his word that it was all ok and would " fill in"
a week later, after much nurturing, the grass is 60 percent dead looking. i call him to get advice. nothing.
3 wks later, the entire lawn on both sides of my house consisting of holes and bits and pieces ( maybe left overs from anther job?) are more evident and now at 80 percent dead. i call again for the 4th time. no answer no call or text back
im running to loews and HD every other day for new sod patches, plugs to fill the holes, remedies, and im out there daily trying to bring back the dead. 4 wks now, still no call backs or answer. i paid them over 4000 cash. for their services and still had trees to plant!
dont trust anyone and i should've taken 2 days off of work,watched them like a hawk and demanded the quality work and material that was promised and paid for, but definitely did not get
this was a very expensive lesson learned and im considering legal action at this point
i hope this post saves even one person from making the same mistake hiring this business, as i did.
customers be very wary and do your homework
