We stayed at Lake George…read morecampground and did 3 hikes incl. the famous "Crack" and then rented a canoe for a day and went all the way to OSA lake and back. If you want to visit the park, plan far in advance, especially for summer months. Most sites are booked 6 months in advance. Bring sturdy hiking boots, especially for the "Crack" hike, there is a lot of climbing and jumping from rock to rock. Also, bring your own firewood, the one they sell in the park is wet and rotten, cut from the fallen trees. The only place you can buy dry firewood nearby is Killarney outfitters but it costs a ridiculous $16+tax for the bag of firewood that will last you for 2-3 hours.

Had we known about the cottage reno next door that would kill the joy and peacefulness of being there and ruining our vacation, we would not have booked there and saved ourselves our hard earned dollars. I have found their service to range from excellent to very good, never average or poor, and they have always gone the extra mile to get replacement products from distributors on the few occasions when I am not satisfied. I do not know what the mask requirements were at the time of the other review, except that COVID was (and still is...) transmitted as an aerosol by infected people, so ALL of the world health agencies were imposing mask requirements during the pandemic and I was happy that they followed the guidelines. In any case, they have a good selection of high quality gear (orders of magnitude better than Crappy Tire...), and the staff are friendly and for the most part very knowledgeable. The owner, who is actually there much of the time, is amazingly nice. I recommend them highly.
