He is really passionate about drama and high performance. Since he is a full-time Elementary school teacher, he really knows how to get the best out of these kids. He has a team of excellent choreographers and directors working with him. Their whole team works really hard and the result is a phenomenal production. Drama improves a child's self-confidence in public speaking and provides a great platform for team work. After every performance we are totally awed by the enthusiasm and perfection of the whole team. The only negative I would say is that we are spoilt with TVYPA and would have a tough time doing drama with any other company.

Since GPA welcomes performers of all ages, we've had the amazing experience of parents and children learning and growing and performing alongside each other. The journey of doing theatre together with my kids has been transformational for my daughters and for me (a kid at heart). I can't say enough about the love and talent the excellent coaching staff pours into their productions. Every kid (and adult) is raised up and helped to grow, not only as performers but as HUMAN BEINGS. My daughter performed with the company from 2018-2021 at the Fremont and Livermore studios. The issues and problems that we ran into are still spilling over to my daughter's dancing. The teacher turnover is RIDICULOUS. Teachers come and go so often there, and it throws the dancers off. During the 2020-2021 competition season, in one month, we went through 3, yes THREE teachers. There is absolutely no consistency. There is absolutely no technique taught there. TDA spits our choreography and does not teach terminology, proper turnout, etc, etc, ETC!!!!! It's all recycled routines year, after year, after year. There is no originality whatsoever. My daughter went to dance competitions and conventions and she was lost when it came to basic terminology, and basic steps. We spent thousands of dollars with them, and looking back; what a waste! Miss Tiffany does not care at all. We mostly danced at Fremont, and I never, ever once saw her visit the studio. We danced at one competition and when Fremont studio was up, she walked out. Yes, she walked out and didn't watch our girls dance. We danced with her for years, and she wouldn't be able to pick my kid out of a lineup. Ms. Robbie who is the TDA Company director is great. I actually really, really like her and think she is fabulous. She was always really kind, fair, and accommodating for me and my daughter. Looking back, on our experiences there, we are blessed that we met such amazing girls. My daughter calls most of them her bff's and I'm so grateful for that. Even better, they still dance together at another studio. If you are looking for a recreational dance only place for your kids to have fun, go for it. If you are looking for a studio that will teach your kid PROPERLY, I suggest going somewhere else.

In order to perform at the recital we had to pay for the costume ( no complaints) and then pay $100 for the dancer and her family to watch the performance. The recital was outdoors in Livermore in June at 3p with no seats set up. They would not let her perform in the recital unless the $100 tickets were bought. Her performance was less than 2 min. Also, the classes are in Fremont but we had to drive ALL THE WAY to Livermore for the performance. Inconsiderate, cheap and I wouldn't recommend to parents looking for a fun dance class. Look elsewhere! I'm sure your city leisure services has great classes for a fraction of the price and headache.

We've been with the Valley dance theater for 3 years now and we love it…read more My 5 year old is confident and always eager to learn more with her teachers. She's been in the Nutcracker every year and looks forward to it every holiday season. My only set back is with younger classes, if there's a time where a child or a group of children are acting out/not participating it's really hard on a solo teacher. So proper discipline and redirection can be hard... but overall we are still very pleased with this company and will continue to return.

My employer held a team building activity here on learning how to paint with a group of ~30 people…read more Our employer purchased lunch from another location and bought it over to this venue, and we were able to eat it at this venue prior to painting. We ate for 1 hour and painted for 2 hours. All painting supplies were provided from venue. Vera was the instructor with 2 assistants. The assistants replaced our paint brush rinse cup, re-fill paint and provided tips. Prior to the event, the event coordinator asked Vera to choose a picture for us to paint. The picture was a couple of sunflowers in a vase. It was a good choice since the finished painting can placed in many common places and it was at beginner's level. There were a real sunflower available at each table, so we can use it as a reference. Vera provided guidelines and we had the option to be creative or paint something completely different. Vera is a very sweet lady, she hand wrote many different inspiration quotes on a mini card and handed out to each person. This was to give us some inspiration right before we begin painting, I really like the positive energy that it provided. However, I wished she provided more instructions on how blend different colors to achieve the colors she had, communicate the techniques on how to create certain strokes, and show visually how to paint each section (her back was covering since she stood directing in front of her painting). Perhaps, she might have decrease verbal communication so we can hear the background music, which was very soothing while we paint. She provided detail responses if we had questions though. Our group came here on a mid-day on a Wednesday and there was plenty of free street parking. The area where we painted had a strong mardi gras theme with decorations, lights, objects hanging from ceiling & walls, painting on walls, and more. Also, there is a stage already set up. This venue here could be use for a wide variety of functions such theatrical performances. Overall, this was an awesome event as mini getaway from the office.
