I don't know if he still works here, but my experience coming to this bowling alley when Vince was around was awful! He is awful! never has it been this way as I grew up going to this bowling center. But I just can't shake it off and just thought I would make it known that customer service here has been extremely hit or miss. read more

I came here for a kids party but I think everyone is a kid here. So much to do! I got a $100 play card and it comes with $40 free play! That's a great deal! The kids had so much fun. We decided to go back because a manager stated that they will fix the problem. When we got there it was the same issue and the manager Tim that said they would fix it and gave us his number if there was a problem had spoke to Vincent (who is always rude to us) and told him to not change anything. We ran the gamut here and did laser tag, bowling, snacks and arcade games. Everything was fun. For the laser tag it was weird to me you didn't have to go anywhere to recharge, because it lead to people just standing and waiting to shoot. Bowling has a weird photo thing to put your face on the screen, but it ended up being funny. The fried pickles were great. Didn't wait long for anything, at least it didn't feel that way because there's other options. read more

This might be my favorite bowling alley ever. seriously. We stopped in here on a rainy day upstate with my family and had such a good time. One this that differentiates this place from other bowling alleys is that each player takes a a few pictures before playing. Then after each bowl they have funny cartoons that run with your faces inside - honestly we were cracking up. Perfectly serviceable bowling alley. A little confusing user interface, easy to accidentally skip a turn. The arcade looked fun, I didn't play it but it had a large variety and the kids loved it. My food experience, though, was absolutely terrible. Everything is overpriced and the quality was poor. I hot Mac and Cheese bites for $9, which had an unpleasant spicy aftertaste. And a small flatbread pizza for $9 that was overloaded with sauce and had the cheese slide right off. I told the food desk guy that I wasn't satisfied with my food and wanted to swap it for something else, and he basically told me "tough luck, I told you what it was." Came today w son for end of school reward around 12:30. First thing we did was the Photo Booth to create a memory to save. Our pictures didn't print and the screen said see attendant. My son went to the man behind the bowling counter (older, brown hair, porn stache) and he was told "well it's broken." I walked over and guy told me "that's not my area and I can't help you. It's been broken 3 days". I explained we paid $3.50 and there was no sign up. Had my daughters party. There was much confusion and chaos, from our side, not their side. The party host was fabulous and patient. somehow managing to tame the three pre-teen boys at the party and keep everyone in one place. I was so stressed about things and the headcount with changes and Kaylee Leavitt was my hero! I emailed her too much with questions and concerns. She was perfect. so helpful. Neon glow in the dark bowling with lots of fun music. Very kid friendly! the 2 little ones I was with loved it. Not a large selection of bowling balls, I ended up using one that was too small for me and the balls were SUPER greasy, it was kind of gross. My shoes were super comfortable too. They have bumpers and these wood things for smaller children to use to roll the ball. Separate arcade section and plenty of parking! read more

This is our second year in a row bowing with the family on New Year's Eve. We had two lanes for 16 of us. The package includes pizza and 2 pitchers of soda. They have updated the screens since we were there last year. The new screens made it very easy to add the bowlers into the system. You can even select if you want bumpers for each individual bowler which is really cool. The wait staff was super and very attentive. The two hours flew by. There were prizes for free games if laser tag that were given out. We won 9 free games just in our group. read more

I just want to start by saying I grew up bowling here. A lot of great memories in this place but somethings changed. I recently brought my whole family over for a Christmas Eve bowl. We were treated horribly. I don't know what happened the worker with the mullet I think his names Vince was just nasty. He had a horrible attitude and I just felt so unwanted. It's really great, but a lot of things were over priced. Lots of cool games to play and taking are bowling pictures was really fun. It was overpriced though, 10,000 tickets for an echo. Nobodys gonna get that far. So, really fun for the family, but it might not be worth the price. read more

First time here. Brought the kids in a Sunday afternoon and was told there was a wait....not a big deal. Played some laser tag for seven bucks. Then was able to get a lane in about 5 minutes. Really nice however that is where it ended. So we went on Tuesday. Which is half price and was ended after bowling 1 game. Went to desk to talk to workers. They said we pre laid which we did. However we prepaid for a game each. It was Tuesday and according to the calendar was half price. So asked the guy working. He was very stand offish. I asked for more time since we paid for it with the half price. He said doesn't apply today die to vacation. I asked to prove it. Never could and was a real a joke about it. The staff were lazy and didn't help fix problems when I asked. It took them way too long to clean up a table for me to use and when my pizza came in( which by the way was bad and costly) the dirty napkins that were on my table and had yet to be picked up, got on the pizza. He didn't apologize or even acknowledge that dirty napkins were on my pizza. I also had a problem when my bowling ball got stuck and I asked once, but none of the staff got on it. They have a decent bar with live music playing so we did not mind our wait at all. We had a good time and will definitely do it again sometime. We were however shocked at how expensive it was. Sparetime has great employees who are attentive and helpful. However new management is ignorant and dismissive towards customers and employees. I've been coming to sparetime for years with my family and have always had enjoyable experiences. Jeff was friendly, helpful, personable, and knowledgeable about any problems we had. As a regular I don't see the new manager often but when I have he's on his phone and being unproductive. Whenever we visit the place is chaotic and understaffed. On one occasion we came there was one arcade employee on a busy day who had to run back and forth between laser tag and the prize store. My friend and I were new to bowling and could not figure out which lane we were in so we asked the girls working at the counter where our lane was. After the second time, one of the girls finally got out of the counter and rudely placed us in the right direction, speaking to us in a tone a mother normally would to a disobedient child who just caused trouble. Please don't speak to your customers that way. Another thing that bother was the explicit music videos being played on the screen while there were plenty of underage kids (pre-teen) around. While there are many people who are okay with that, some people in the bowling alley just looked uncomfortable. Parents should never have to worry about exposing their kids to explicit material when going to a bowling alley. Just keep that in mind. The building itself is clean and tidy, however, the customer service just needs a little improvement. Our experience has discouraged us from coming here in the near future but perhaps someday we will again. Perhaps we were just unlucky to come here at the wrong time. read more

We were from out of town and playing 2 hockey games this past Saturday. We needed something to do between games so we went to Spare Time for some food and fun between games. The food was surprisingly good, although a bit slow to come out. Admittedly we had a very large group. The service was incredible and every staff member was happy and extremely attentive to our group. They provided our group with a play package for games, laser tag and bowling. This place is horrible for a number of reasons. First, the new design has tables and seating for each line right on top of the lane next to it. Given this, you would think they would spread people out when it isn't busy, but instead, they put everyone right on top of each other. We actually thought a random family was taking our stuff but they were ultimately moving it because they assumed WE were in their lane (nope, just insufficient space). Next, the staff here is extremely unpleasant. Add to that the fact that their prices are ASTRONOMICAL for a freaking bowling place, and you get a combination of unpleasant events that means we will not only be back, but have taken every opportunity to share this experience with other people. FIVE OTHER FAMILIES have echoed this, which leads me to believe the positive reviews on this site are fake or from friends/family of the owners. IT COST $50 FOR 3 PEOPLE TO PLAY ONE GAME! ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND? IT'S BOWLING! Don't even bother if you plan to play laser tag. And forget free shoe rentals or properly working ball returns and computers. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! read more
