I regret not taking his name for this review but, 'The Guy' (you know who you are) was very pleasant and attentive. His station was some ways away from our lane. Despite this, anytime we ran into trouble (e.g. when a pin got stuck) he already spotted it and promptly started working on resolving the problem. There were a lot of attendees but the venue didn't feel overcrowded or uncomfortable. Everyone from the teens to the seniors was well-behaved and had a grand time. The venue was clean (including the male bathroom) and lively. Both the bar and the mini restaurant were open. We ordered fries and chicken tenders. We received our meal quickly and it tasted well. We went over to the tee box after we saw the 12:10 tee off and I said we are Farina. 12:22. So the starter said looks like the other two are not coming....So we go up to get ready and tee off and right at 12:21 he goes. "There's your other two-some" I told him I am not waiting I scheduled for 12:22 and I was a half hour early because golf etiquette you don't run up to the tee box AT the time. Anyways. 12:22 comes and the 2 kids still are not coming out of the clubhouse. The starter said "they are just paying" i said well, We are teeing off. He said "no hold please". I said. "What time is our tee time?" He said "12:22" It was 12:23 at this time still no one around.... So finally i said "Mike hit away" and he got all mad and said "I tell you when you can go" And then he said "someone is on the shit list" For what being there early??? I wanted to beat the rain and had dinner plans. It's not my fault you guys want to squeeze every possible person out there.... Come to find out. The kids only had one bag. We will never return as much as I love the course. (Since I'm on the shit list) No one ever treats me like that or punishes me for being on time....

I just took my first pickleball lesson with Maura and I'm so glad that I did. I've been invited to…read moreplay at my local gym or with friends countless times but I never took them up on their offers since I didn't know the rules. Taking the course with Maura spared me from likely embarrassment. She explained the rules clearly and demonstrated serving techniques. She's very patient. She told me not to rush my serve. The class had just enough time to play a short game. The facilities are nice. I borrowed a pickleball racket for free. I'll need more practice. There are sessions where beginners can play. Bottom line is that it was quite fun. Thanks to Maura and Picklers Pickleball Club for getting me started.
