Master Cashatt treated me with the utmost respect and helpfully challenged me to rise above my circumstances. Throughout my experience at the school, I have always felt respected and encouraged. Whether directly from Master Cashatt or from one of his excellent instructors, I learned to accept instruction with humility and respect under all circumstances. From the get-go, I was always encouraged to live by the five tenets of Taekwon-Do (courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, indomitable spirit) both in word and in deed. I did not have to look far to find role models when it came to these tenets. I've come to regard Master Cashatt as one of my first and greatest mentors who has not only spurred me on to such great feats as earning my fourth degree black belt, but also earning a gold medal at the International Taekwon-Do Federation's 2010 World Championships in South Korea. While I could certainly continue lauding him and his school for the fantastic things they have done for me and my peers, I must also speak to how much of a family we are at Master Cashatt's school. Over the years, we have lost several students to tragedies, and we as a student body felt each loss. We shared in mourning and we worked hard to comfort each other in grief. We've raised thousands of dollars over the years in support for our members and our families in times of hardship and tragedy. Master Cashatt's school truly goes beyond the call of duty. Master Cashatt and fellow instructors even attended my father's memorial service this past April, something that is not required, not expected, but done nonetheless. I cannot fully express my appreciation for Cashatt's Taekwon-DO School Inc for the work that has been done in my life, but I do know that it is from this fantastic foundation that I will go on to spread this same love and passion for Taekwon-Do in the world. But seriously, I COULD NOT RELATE to Kate on any level because to me EVERYTHING tastes delicious (especially during pregnancy & afterwards while nursing). But I wanted to be healthy, fit & strong. So I count my lucky stars when I attended my first few classes with Meghan of Trimester Fit Body. And in 2 brief prenatal sessions, I learned so much! Her breathing technique was a game changer for me -- who knew these things?! No one emphasized it prior so once I learned it CORRECTLY from Meghan, I honestly rehearsed it whenever I could & firmly believe it made a HUGE difference in my labor & recovery. Now that I'm postpartum & have completed her inaugural "Body After Baby" series, I feel so much better than I'd anticipated 11 wks out. I'm honing in on lifting weights with better posture, breathing conscientiously to realign my weak areas, and devoting quality time for self-care so I can joyfully handle a toddler & newborn without strain & damage to my body. The superb quality of coaching and teaching has allowed my kids to develop physically as well as emotionally during the short time they have been students here. Based off of my children's experience, if you are someone looking into a Gymnastics school in the area, I highly recommend you give Ricochets a visit. Aside from the Gymnastics aspect, Ricochets also provides additional services (camps; birthday parties; "babysitting" aka Kids Night Out) that my family and I take advantage of whenever we have the time to. If my kids had a choice, I'm pretty sure they would try to fit everything they can at Ricochets but the kids don't always get what they want, . The staff does a great job at keeping all of the events safe, fun, and physical. It's great having the kids bond with other kids while Mommy and Daddy go out for a nice dinner. Anyways, if you didn't catch my vibe already, I highly recommend this gym. Keep in mind my kids aren't on the competing side (yet) so I cannot speak on that portion of the business.
