Sparkle put my mind at ease through the entire auto repair process. I am 23 years old, don't know much about cars or repairs, and was devastated when I smashed into a yellow cement pole. Sparkle was the first shop I called to get an estimate and Eric said he would do his best to get me the lowest cost. And that is exactly what he did! He called local scrap yards to see if he could find the part and color I needed and just so happened to find one. After that, the rest of the process was seamless. Highly recommended! Professional, courteous, and fabulous attention to details. They thoroughly explained all that needed to be done, coordinated with my insurance people, arranged to get my rental set up (right next door, can't beat that). They treated me much more respectfully than Zimbrick did, coordinated to get my windshield replaced while they were doing the rest of the work (even though they don't do that work), and they had the thoughtfulness to save my oil change reminder and put it on my new windshield. I saw them check out someone's vehicle to see if it was driveable for free, and they also buffed out another scratch on my front bumper (unrelated to the damage I came to them for) and included that at no extra charge as well. I haven't had to deal with a body shop while living in Madison the past 5 years & would recommend them hands down. They provided me updates on the status of my car & I felt comfortable that they were gathering the necessary repair costs before it was finally decided that my car was totaled. I came in for a damaged hood, covered by Geico. The manager was very attentive, provided a spot-on time estimate, and always made me feel welcome. He called me every two days with a status update as he sparred with Geico over supplements (as he had predicted in his initial estimate). There was some business with how Geico was under-paying for labor which had me a little worried, but he was willing to allay my fears in writing without ever making me feel paranoid for it, and in the end I only paid my deductible as promised. And my car looks really good! It looks better than it did before the accident, in fact. They also left me with a bit of touch-up paint and a thank-you card. I'm completely happy with the work that Sparkle did and their communication and honesty is fantastic. (Side note: It's true that they leave that quote button up on Yelp, but respond with "we'd have to see the car in person." Personally, I forgive them--maybe they're not terribly internet savvy, but they do perfectly good work. And c'mon, it's an auto body shop, does it have to be internet savvy?) read more

I took my 2003 Cadillac in for an estimate as someone broadsided me in a parking lot. Gave me a fair estimate, but the insurance company totaled it. So I took the money and bought a 2010 GMC Terrain. I proceeded to run over a rock. Took that vehicle in and they ordered the parts late on a Monday and they got me in Wed. after my work. They estimated in would take 45 -60 min. and I was out in about 25. Very professional and very accommodating. Would highly recommend them. read more

My car was hit in a parking lot damaging the bumper and knocking out a turn signal light. The person who hit it didn't leave any information so I had to pay for the repair myself. I went to Sparkle Auto Body because it was near my home. I received excellent service. They really took good care of me. They tried every way to keep the cost down while doing a fabulous job on the repairs. Friendly and professional staff. Worst experience ever involving this body shop! They quoted me at $300 to fix a simple paintless dent repair, which others do for under $100 and claim the headliner had to be taken out, which is not true! Had body damage to rear bumper and side body panel poped out on top. Their initial estimate was $3300, then once it arrived in the shop, the amount changed to $5950 and took 9 days to fix! He did not offer to drive me to/from Hertz rental during this ordeal, called to ask a second time to ask for initial estimate I received from another shop after I provided it and the insurance adjusters name and number 3 days prior, and did not tell me car was finished until I asked on final day. This whole experience sucked, the guy didn't know what he was doing or just didn't care! DO NOT use this body shop for ANY repairs, they are not ethical, honest or reasonable in their repair pricing!! It took me 1 month to get car in shop!! Never again. read more

Very nice staff, got me in right away, happy to deal with things via email so I could reference, explained everything they were doing, open after 5pm and before 8am so you can stop by on your way to or from work, the owner personally gave me a ride to the rental car place and my car looks great. I was visiting Madison when I crunched my front bumper while parking, and the entire bumper panel was hanging off my car. I had to do something, since I needed to get on the expressway to go back home that day. A local recommended I take my car to Sparkle, and I'm so glad I did. I got my car repaired here after an accident. It took longer than expected because new parts needed to be ordered and my insurance company was hard to get a hold of. That being said, I was contacted regularly on the status of my car and when things were expected to be done. Everyone was extremely nice and the services were not over priced and my car looked great! They even warmed the car up for me when they knew I was coming to pick it up! An added bonus is they are very close to enterprise car rentals so if needed, you can walk there. read more

Less than 10,000 miles in to owning my very first car I managed to get a long deep scratch and dent along half of one side which required almost the entire side of the car be repainted. Having never owned a vehicle worth taking to a body shop I did extensive research before obtaining estimates. Sparkle wasn't the cheapest but the staff were very professional, the estimate was the most detailed, and they had some absolutely glowing testimonials buried online. The repair itself is superb. The paint match (metallic silver) looks perfect to my untrained eye and the car literally looks brand new again. As a nice touch they included a bottle with the leftover paint that I will be able to use for dings and chips in the future. I hit a deer while driving my "baby"!!!!!! I was some kind of bummed because I take meticulous care of my cars....especially this one.....an SRT Challenger that I only just bought a year ago. I just moved to Madison from New Orleans so I am unfamiliar both with the hitting of deer and the quality of auto body shops in the greater Madison area. I shopped and read reviews and picked Sparkle over all of the others. With great trepidation, I had my car towed (I dare not drive it) to Sparkle off of E. Washington. I went down there and supervised my car being pulled off the tow truck and explained to the nice people that I was both a former insurance adjuster and a complete anal retentive weirdo when it comes to my cars. I would inspect the repair in all kinds of light making sure that the paint both matched and that there was NO trace of where it was blended. It would have to be perfect. I would measure the panel gaps and check to ensure that all body panels (hood and both front fenders as well as the front cap were all flush and that there were no signs of any kind of mishap). I would look under the fenders and under the hood to the insides of the panels to check for proper fit and finish and would waste no time in bringing it back to them if anything was not to my liking. Having owned a plethora of cars and dealing with body shops for over 25 years and being somewhat aggressive behind the wheel (I've had my share of accidents), it was just possible that I would be the "customer from hell". Okay.....fast forward 5 weeks. My car is PERFECT!!!! The paint is perfect....the body panels are perfectly aligned and are flush even better than factory. They left no detail untouched. Mark and Eric told me from the onset that they would worry about all of the stuff that I was worried about so that i would not have to worry about it and that I could relax. My baby was perfectly safe and was going to be well cared for in their hands. We had parts that came in that were defective from the manufacturer (original Mopar parts too!!!) and while Eric and the gang could have easily "fixed" those defects to hide them from me, they did not. They re-ordered to ensure that the parts were perfect and they were not defective. I was called nearly daily with updates and informed of every detail as the repair was being completed. When I went to get my car, it was EXACTLY as Mark and Eric said it would be and I could not be happier!!! Solid A+ for these guys. read more

Folks it pays to comparison shop. Sparkle is the best. I have a 2002 Dodge ram pickup. The passenger door would not latch closed. I've been driving around for a few weeks with the door strapped shut from the inside by the arm rest and door handle to the seat. So I go to Sparkle's closest competitor. The owner evaluates the problem and tells me he'll send me an estimate via email the next day. Long story short I get no email fir a week and call back. The guy says he doesn't know when he can get around to working on it as he's real busy. I ask about the estimate and he says "$700.00". I ask how much do you charge for labor per hour. He doesn't answer. he hems and haws and says there's a lot inside the door he doesn't know about yet yadda yadda yadda. So I go to Sparkle. The owner looks at it and sayshe thinks the latch is bad. I costs about $90.00 The estimate is $200.00. I ask when he can work on it. He says "I'll cal you when I get the part probably three days. Three days later I get a call asking when I can bring the car in. I say tomorrow morning. So i get a call later at noon that its finished. Cost $191.00.This is an honest work shop. I have never had a repair done here. However, when I came in for a quote, they took the time to explain to me the details of what the procedure would be and why it was so expensive. They answered my many questions in detail despite the fact that the car was very likely totaled so they were not going to make any money off of me. From the minute I walked in the door until I drove away, Jill took care of everything and kept me informed all along the process. Initially, she gave me worst case and best case scenario estimates (within an hour) which was a solid way to set expectations and make sure I wasn't surprised if we ran into the worst case situation. I recently bought a 2017 Limited Edition (one of the 500) Subaru Series.Yellow BRZ. I've been a car enthusiast my entire driving life and love this car. You can imagine my unhappiness as I walked to my car in the early morning sun and detected two dents and a deep scratch on the hood that hadn't been there when I hand washed it two days earlier. Not really glaring wounds, but I knew they were there! I wanted to take the BRZ into my local classic car restoration shop which has done a great job over the years doing insurance repairs to my daily driven late model vehicles. I recently learned that with a change of ownership they have stopped doing insurance work. Without my regular shop, I was worried that I might not be able to find another that was skilled in working with repairs on an aluminum hood or whether they would be able to get a good match for the bright yellow paint. I looked to Yelp to find a solution to my problem. I read a bunch of reviews, which convinced me that Sparkle clearly stood out a the class of the field. Although we live an hour and a half drive from the Sparkle shop, I drove it in to have Eric take a look at it. He was very knowledgeable about working with sheet aluminum and matching difficult paints. He also pointed out a third dent I hadn't noticed. I put him in touch with my insurance company and they worked out the details. Totally painless (except for the deductible). :) Sparkle was pretty busy so I had to wait a couple of weeks to get it in. I dropped the car off on Friday so they could get an early start on it Monday morning. We arranged to pick it up the next Friday when I could next get into Madison. Eric kept me informed of the progress and let me know they would be done early so I could get it anytime on Thursday if I wanted to. My schedule didn't allow, so my wife and I made the three hour round trip to retrieve it as originally scheduled. Sparkle did a great job! The yellow BRZ looks perfect again. Eric walked me through everything they had done, gave me instructions on letting the paint continue to cure, avoiding waxes, tree sap and bird droppings for a few months. They cleaned the whole car including the wheels and interior. After everything was done, they sent a card thanking us for the business and asking if everything was good. They later followed up with a survey whose final question asked if there was anyway that we felt they would improve their service. These guys do fantastic work! A few years back when my truck was younger they did a rear corner repair and blended it so well that you still can't tell which side they did. Today I had a minor bumper bash that caused the wheel to scrape. They were able to help me decide on what type of repair I should on a truck with nearly 200,000 milles. They do a terrific job coordinating insurance, rental cars and scheduling. My girlfriend had some front end damage to her car, and I took it to Sparkle to get looked at. I cannot say enough good things about them. The estimate was fair and very accurate, and everybody that I talked to was very respectful and sincere. You can talk to any of my friends about how picky I am about cars, and I could not believe how well they did at repairing the damage. I spent 20 minutes looking for even a single imperfection and found none. They had to disassemble the entire front clip and every body line was perfect when they put it all back together. What also impressed me was the paint, which I worried about since it is a special paint that would be hard to match. Again, I couldn't find even the tiniest flaw. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this was one of the best experiences I've had with a company. Needless to say, my girlfriend was very pleased with Sparkle as well.
