This place is a hidden gem! I Brought in a brand new Toyota Rav4 the other day. It had some scraped paint on the front bumper from hitting a parking pole. Toyota wanted over 1000 to fix it. I don't know what it is but my car is a magnet for other cars to hit. Twice now, I have come out to to a scrape. Luckily, Auto Color is close by to help touch it up. The process is simple: Drive over to get an estimate and then schedule time to get it completed. They do excellent work here. Both times, I could not tell where the original scrape was located. They over-promised and under-delivered. I originally brought the car in for paintless dent repair because Zingading is working at their locations for the winter. I asked about their paint correction services since we bought the car used and the paint needed some help. It has had several swirl marks and some tougher scratches, but nothing through the clear. I asked Andy if he thought they'd be able to get all of the scratches out. He said they would do a two step polishing and wet sanding where needed. I almost always do my own paint correction work, because it takes finesse and a lot of time and steps to bring it back to showroom or better quality. He assured me that's what we'd get. They had the car for four days and said it was ready for pickup. It was outside, so I looked it over and could see several visible scratches on the entire body and the roof of the car looked like it hadn't been touched. You could steel see all of the swirl marks easily on the roof easily. The body of the car was back to 90% free of scratches, but wasn't perfect by any standard. I went inside and brought this to Andy's attention and he became immediately defensive, claiming that they "spent more time than planned on the car" and that he could "bring the tech out to explain". I'm not sure what that was supposed to accomplish. I was on my way to an appointment, so I paid the bill so we could leave. When I went outside and looked the car over again, the work just wasn't acceptable. I asked Andy to come outside and look at it. He was visibly upset and when I pointed out the issues, he claimed he couldn't see them. I pointed out more issues and he was willfully difficult. I could see I wasn't going to get anywhere. As for the roof of the car that appeared untouched, his response was "I guess we probably didn't spend as much time on that part". What? Didn't I pay to have the entire car done? I never received an apology or an offer to make it right, just a rude attitude. Well, I guess I sort of got an apology when he said that he was "sorry the work wasn't up to my standard". Do not go to them for paint correction services. They don't stand behind their work and will not deliver on what they agree to. read more

May or may not have parked my brand new 2019 car a little too close to a yellow cement pole. Whoops! The front bumper between the headlight and wheel was marked up pretty significantly with yellow paint and deep black scuffs. I took my car for several quotes and decided to go with Auto color. Service was great. I drove right up and had an estimate within 5 minutes (which was much lower than the other two places). I dropped my car off the night before my appointment and it was ready the next evening. Upon picking it up- I did have to point out some areas overspray which they fixed immediately. Very impressed with this place - they specialize in smaller repairs and that's exactly what I needed. I checked 5 other places and they quoted me at least double (most of them, triple!) what Auto Color quoted me. Andy was friendly and professional. He told me exactly what was going to be done and was perfect on the timing. I believe they do get booked out pretty far - I had to wait about a month to get my car in for a quick paint job fix, but it was definitely worth the savings. I got a pretty deep dent at the corner of my rear bumper. Both Zimbrick and Gate's Auto in town told me I had to replace my bumper and paint the whole thing (~$900). I found out this store from Ads; they specialize specifically in small cosmetic defect repair. They could do the job within a day and I paid ~$335. Oh, they also said they can touch up some chipped spots on the hoods for only an additional $10. When i got the car back, I totally couldn't tell the history. The staff is also very courteous. Someone backed into my husband's car in the parking garage at his work. Smart Toyota recommended taking his car to Ball Auto Body, so we did.. They quoted us $1800 (the printed estimate was four sheets long and $1200 was labor, not to mention it'd take 5 days). A colleague told us about Auto Color so we decided to drop in for an estimate. When we got there, the front desk manager (Andy) had just stepped outside to help another customer. No biggie. But immediately, the owner (Joe) came out of his office and greeted us. He walked us outside to our car and assessed the damage himself.. He told us EXACTLY what they'd need to do to make it look brand new again and provided us with an exact cost. With tax, we paid about $800 and it only took them 2 days to fix. This place is great! NO BULL SH*T businesses like Auto Color deserve much praise. Joe and Andy are top-notch! Made an appointment for 8:30 and they didn't do my car until after 9:30. It was done, but he came in office (not telling me it's ready) and texted for 15-20 more minutes. What was suppose to be a half hour appointment took close to 2 hours. Went in to have a few paint touch-up for $95 and all they did was blob some paint on the spots. I think he took advantage of me because I'm a woman. A decent person would have said it was something I could have done for $10 with some touch-up paint myself. When we went in to talk about the work, he said "you can't make a silk purse out of a pig's ear. My car may not be new but is in good shape and the dings that he filled in now stand out more than before he supposedly repaired him. Very unhappy and will not go there ever again. read more

My wife's SUV was rear ended recently and the bumper sustained several scrapes, and had two areas that were pushed in. The bumper is a rubber/plastic type material. I don't know why a previous review gave them 1 star. I have used their services multiple times on more than one car over the years and have never been disappointed. I have had repairs that range from minor dents to more serious damages. After they were done with the repairs, there was never a trace of the damage showing. They charge fraction of what other body shops would have charged for the same repairs. I know because I've had estimates from both. I'm so glad this business exists, otherwise either all my repairs would have cost me thousands rather than hundreds or I would have to forego these repairs. My Lexus RX 350 had about $500 damage to the right rear. Repair involved removing the bumper, repairing, and repainting the entire bumper. Auto Color's bid was a bit less than another auto body shop, using the same method of repair. The color match is perfect and the repaired are looks like new. While the car was there, I had the technician repair a door ding and and some pretty deep scratches on the doors. This additional work was inexpensive and the result was terrific. Wanted an excellent wax & interior detail before winter. While Auto Color's $200 charge for an inside & outside detail seemed high, I had one of their $50 off coupons which made it more reasonable. Since I have never used them before, I was excited for a $200 detail at a discount. The staff was very professional & polite, and when I picked it up after work it looked fine, but the next day in the daylight the car's exterior looked terrible. Our car is dark green, but there was so much white dried wax residue in the door seams, around every piece of trim including every window, and surrounding both headlights and tail lights, it looked like the paint was chipping off. I wonder now how good a cleaning they did on the interior carpet. It took me 2 hours and an old beach towel to rub and buff all dried wax residue off. Maybe they did a rush job because of the $50 off, but why issue the coupon if you're not going to do a super job that would bring me back? I could have complained, but you know, I shouldn't have to. Besides, I didn't need to go through dropping the car off, have arrangements to get to work and then back again after work. They missed a chance to get my wife, myself, and our two cars as new regular customers because we've decided never go back. read more
