I'm a 4th time customer at Sparkle. I checked in at the kiosk as usual and informed the clerk that I needed a pedicure and a dip powder manicure. The service was been good until today with Angelo. I was seated at a pedicure station by him 1 minute after I walked in while looking through the dip nail color book. I informed him that I hadn't selected color but that I was considering one of three from the book. He started my pedicure. I was not asked with service I wanted. He grabbed an orange sugar scrub and proceeded to place it on my skin. I told him that I hadn't selected a pedicure service or a color choice of the three. I requested the pedicure menu. He told me that he was doing a basic treatment and that he selected another color until that P15 and P22 because P22 was too light. I shared that I only wanted the P22 my tips. He ignored the request. I requested a Himalayan salt treatment with hot stones and explained that my skin is sensitive to citrus (orange) products. I requested lavender or plain pedicure scrub. He stated that only orange was permit with the Himalayan. Although the menu reads that a Himalayan salt is used. I know that other scrubs are permitted. With this being my 4th time at the salon. I asked him to only paint my nails and not to perform any additional pedicure services. I had hoped that Sparkle Nails would have been my new salon from manicures and pedicures but I wouldn't recommend them because when I went to pay they added on a la cart fees knowing that I didn't receive a full pedicure service when I informed them that I no longer wanted a dip powder manicure. ** To benefit LV Nails was in the next shopping center. I came in with gel polish wanting to get another gel pedicure. While removing the gel... they did not put any nail polish remover or anything he just attempted to drill all of the gel off. It was pink and I was getting a white color on my toes. He didn't remove all of the pink gel from before. I asked around 4-6 times if it was gonna come off or if he could take it all off. I've never had a pedicure where they just put more gel on top of old gel. He kept taking little bits off every time I said something but never fully took it all off??? So I had to ask for an extra layer of the white to cover the pink and he shook his head and looked very irritated but he never took the old pink polish of. This was my first and last time here and I'm leaving with pink polish still poking out under my white. I'm so mad. read more

I have to say that I've tried many different nail salons since I started getting acrylics. I've learned what I like and don't like and Vincent absolutely crushes my expectations every single time. Hannah does my brow waxing and it always comes out amazing!!!! I've loved every receptionist they've had, they've all made me feel extremely comfortable and just had basic conversations with me. As for Vincent's work, I'm pretty rough on my nails with my line of work and they always hold up. For a smaller salon like sparkle i have to say they can do some really good work! Especially them talking about me and my boyfriend straight to our face They were talking to each other, then asked what my boyfriend was to me, the continued talking to each other. I will say the pricing its self was great, and so was the service alone. I will not let this determine my rating upon the service, service was a strong 4. Based on my experience today. The entirety of it deserves a 2. Side note: she spoke and then looked at me multiple times and looked away with a smirk on her face (the one in pink). I had my nails done Friday April 21,2023 y for my son's wedding. I had alway been pleased with the way Jason did them, but he is no longer there. I was placed with someone new. She was kind, but didn't speak English. I'm attaching a few pics from today & I am very disappointed. I love this place! I get my dip nails done by Vincent and he is super detailed oriented and spends a lot of time making sure all of my nails are even and shaped just the way I ask. I never feel rushed into what color I choose. It is a super clean place with good music and really modern decorative and atmosphere. I have read the review about the eyebrow wax mishap and I don't know what happened with them, but I only trust them to do my eyebrows and I have tried many places around town. I have had them do it over 40 times and they have never messed up, even when I am a walk-in on a busy day. Super nice people and super proficient. read more

I went to this nail salon because a friend highly recommended them. The overall atmosphere felt rushed and tense. Very "in and out, go go go" if you will. A man took me back, gave me no time to choose a color I truly wanted, and immediately started cutting my nails. No greeting from anyone; the male staff I interacted with were cold and seemed irritated. The man who did my nails who never said his name, wore a mask but only on his chin. He coughed several times onto my hands and did not wear gloves. Also, the tools he used did not appear to be clean. This was my first time getting acrylic nails and gel polish, so some things did confuse me. When I looked confused or asked if what I was doing was right or okay, he would sigh loudly/groan and roll his eyes. The nails are fine from a distance. The sides of my nails were completely ignored. Up close they are bumpy, uneven, and rough. In the rare event I was spoken to, I was given commands as if he was speaking to a dog. "Go. Wash hands. No, don't do that (flinch when he used the tools too far down my cuticle)." My nails were handled with little care; it's as if I gave a toddler with behavioral issues a nail kit. For $65, this was a waste of time and money. You're better off spending that at Firehouse next door. read more

03/09/2024 I decided to try them out since I was on that side of town. I regretted it as I walked in. The guy at the front desk (younger guy) very rude and not helpful. I did walk in at 4pm. Well they told me to follow them to the chair for my pedi and mani. So I did. Well I was sitting in the chair and the same rude young guy comes to me with a bowl of nail polish remover and tries to put it in my lap. I asked for a towel before I do that. He wasn't helpful at all. I didn't even get to look at nail colors before multiple women who work there (little to no English) asked "what color".. I told them I haven't looked as I was sitting there with both of my hands in the bowl of nail polish remover on my lap. The guy who scrubbed my feet, yes I said "scrubbed". He used a brush for nails on my top of my toes to scrub my whole foot with I felt like my feet were on fire because he scrubbed my skin off. He barely scrubbed the bottom or sanded the heels. Still rough being that I'm in boots all week and would like my feet done right. He did not do cuticles on toes , he tried painting until I caught him and told him I wanted my areas on toes cleaned up. My nails on my toes is uneven and the paint job is awful. He also spoke no English so it was hard to tell him what I wanted. Well the young rude guy came back and decided to stand in between me and another female who also was getting her toes done. He was sanding off the rest of my nail polish. I felt awful because the dust and nail polish was flying all over and was hitting that lady next to me. After I saw my toes, I should have stopped service. But I continued to get my nails done. We then walked over to the sitting area for my mani. The guy doing my mani also didn't know English and any question I had on colors, I just smiled. Well he dipped my nails (which is what I wanted) and didn't do an even coats. They are bulky. FYI I have my real nails. I was very upset because I knew it was going to get worse. My nails are supposed to be square tip but round on corners. He did not follow instructions. Also my nails are uneven. I asked for cuticles to be cut. He barely did that. I was sitting there till almost 6:30pm (2 hours lapsed) and all of the workers were leaving so the young rude guy went around and asked for payments while services were going on. I told him no at first because I'm not digging into my pocket or purse and staying longer to get that fixed. So he came back again and I told him "I have never paid for service while being serviced" he was extremely rude and told me 80.00 for both mani and pedi. Basic nail polish on toes and dip on fingers. Well I got charged 88.00. I'm assuming that 8.00 charge is for clover (company they use for credit cards). I walked out and will never be back. I am contacting bank Monday morning and having that reversed. Woman go to nail shops to chill and unwind but also to feel good when we walk out. I felt uneasy and miserable. I came home and cried. Who has money and time to go to another nail shop. Please be advise, while I was sitting there, there were others who complained about their nails also (they walked out upset). The workers there are talkers and very rude. My first time there and my last time!!!!!!! I'm sure I am forgetting somethings in my horror show last night but please rethink when walking up to their shop. So it's been 2 weeks since I went to this place. I'm from Cola but visiting from out of town and wanted to get a pedicure and manicure for a wedding. The inside is very beautiful. The marble floors and decor is great. It's the service that isn't. They are friendly overall but that's not all you need. My pedicure was okay. I love the color I choose but my husband's pedicure was BAD. He gets pedicures often!! So she did a half pedicure then she walks off without saying anything and starts on someone else's feet. His feet were ashy! No oil, lotion, no buff on the nails. Also, my dip manicure was bad. For the price paid, I should of walked out feeling like a celebrity. They really did the bare minimum with high prices. You are paying for the nice renovations. Would not recommend. read more

I went in for a pedicure and a dip manicure.... two different workers did the services. My pedicure was amazing and I loved it. On the other hand, the manicure was horrible and looks absolutely horrendous. It's uneven, very thick and the shape of my nails are bowing out like duck bills. Jason did my nails. The pedicure was fine. The manicure was the worst I have ever had. I showed them a picture of what I wanted (blue and white tips) and 3 different people working there told me they could do it. Jason tried to do the manicure three times. The first time, I ended up with blue tips and the rest of the nails were discolored purple with blue streaks. Then he tried to paint over the entire nail with blue and do white tips, but the white and blue mixed. The third time, the design is close, but at this point there were several other issues. Several of my natural nails are damaged from too much sanding (you can actually see the damage through the clear polish), my nails are filed down unevenly, there are multiple mistakes in the polish, and there is polish on my skin. At that point, he had already been working on my hands for two hours and they offered a $15 discount, so I gave up. I will not be returning to this salon and I would not recommend it to anyone else. read more

If ever I were to assume (something I shouldn't do anyway) that I'd be discriminated against in the South, it would not be from the people with whom I share the same skin color: yellow. But of course, I was astoundingly proven WRONG. Lesson learned. I was a patron of this establishment, in accompaniment with my sister and mother-in-law, to get manicures and pedicures for my sister-in-law's wedding this Saturday. The owners know my mother-in-law well, as she works at the school that their children attend. They are on a first name basis. I am the out-of-towner that hails from the SF Bay Area, golden state of California. Red flag 1 - my pedicure lasted at least 25 minutes SHORTER than my sister and mother-in-law. Red flag 2 - after asking to trim my fingernails, the female manicurist roughly cuts one index finger and declared the rest as fine and did not need to be trimmed. They most certainly did. Whatever happened to the customer is right and do what they ask? Red flag 3 - the manicurist leaves after cutting said one index finger nail and brings over a male manicurist to complete the manicure. The first thing he says as he plops down is, "are you Chinese?" in the most nonchalant, don't give AF, demeanor. That's something he dares ask a customer? That's the FIRST thing he dares ask? Ya think he would dare ask an African-American, "are you Black?" or a Caucasian individual, "are you Irish?" ???!! Red flag 4 - As he's putting clear polish on the nails on my right hand, I ask male manicurist to trim the nails on my left hand. My good heavens, he lops them off in the most careless and jagged fashion that only a 3-year old could achieve. He then resumes putting clear polish on right hand nails. I am so distraught, I finally blurt out, "Can you fix this?! This is terrible!!" pointing to my left pinky finger nail. He lackadaisically looks over and says, "I just file them." Red flag 5 - After 5 minutes of silence, he asks, "Where are you from?" Oh I don't know, my mother's womb, just like you?? Again, would he ever ask a person of another skin color that question? Needless to say, this place requires an overhaul on appropriate social behavior and decorum. read more

However, ordinary requests such as a color picks are taken with an attitude "why are you making me do things at all." Gave this place several tries. I took my daughter to Sparkle Nail Salon for a special "girl's day" before I left on vacation. We both had pedicures and an eyebrow wax. The lady who did my daughter's pedicure and eyebrow wax was very sweet, and did a great job with her brows and nails. She even gave her a special free gift, which was a sweet touch. However, my pedicure and eyebrow wax was less than spectacular. My polish lasted about two days. My eyebrow wax was absolutely terrible. I was very disappointed. The worst part...I expected to pay about $60 for all of it. It was almost $80! I was not pleased at all, especially considering that my polish and wax was terrible. He didn't want to do my nails but when a Caucasian lady walked through the door he instantly took her And she did not have an appointment nor was he with anyone prior. It made me feel unwelcome I voiced my concerns to the receptionist and he didn't care either. I've been there multiple times and I never had such horrible customer service until this time.
