I have a regular guy I go to in Columbia, but I wanted to try SNS here and he doesn't do that. The appeal is that SNS doesn't use the UV light, and they are supposed to be stronger than gel and last longer. I followed the recommendations on yelp to try to find my next Columbia tech. I just had SNS done for the third time ever. The first time was in my old neighborhood in Nyc and it was AWFUL! They popped off in one week. The second time I had them done by my friends guy in Charleston, and they were so perfect they made me "cheat" on my regular nail guy to try to do it again. They were strong, natural looking, and lasted for 3.5 weeks before I had my first chip. I'm also pretty hard on my nails, so this is really great. The third time was here. They really do look very nice at first glance, but I'm afraid they are just too thick and the gel top coat is bleeding into my cuticles which drives me nuts. He did use the light for a gel top coat, which doesn't completely defeat the purpose, but it is a negative for me personally. I'm going to have them removed within the week. I'm disappointed, but I must say that I have very high standards. I would like to say that the pedicure is beautiful and he did spend time massaging my legs, and it felt amazing. He also used the scrub and not the razor, which is far better for your feet. It was really nice. My goal in posting this is just to provide very clear and accurate insight into what to expect and what to look for if you happen to be as particular as I am, or even if you're not. This probably won't be my new go-to place, but I may be willing to give it a try again. 4 stars. ' ---------------- I'd like to update that while I still think the nail was a bit too thick especially around the edges, and the gel top coat is still peeling a bit, I did leave them on and they have lasted now 29 days without chipping or popping off. I'm impressed and pleased. I am updating my review to 5 stars from 4, because I think while there is room for improvement, I do believe he did a great job overall. I was left with uneven toenails, dead skin still on my feet, and a cut on my middle toe after the technician's hand slipped while trimming my cuticles. The cut continues to sting in water and burns when I apply moisturizer. I contacted the salon hoping for a correction and an apology, but I did not feel my concerns were taken seriously. I was a loyal customer, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, this visit has cost you a long-time client.

He told me that he was doing a basic treatment and that he selected another color until that P15 and P22 because P22 was too light. I shared that I only wanted the P22 my tips. He ignored the request. I requested a Himalayan salt treatment with hot stones and explained that my skin is sensitive to citrus (orange) products. I requested lavender or plain pedicure scrub. He stated that only orange was permit with the Himalayan. Although the menu reads that a Himalayan salt is used. I know that other scrubs are permitted. With this being my 4th time at the salon. I asked him to only paint my nails and not to perform any additional pedicure services. I had hoped that Sparkle Nails would have been my new salon from manicures and pedicures but I wouldn't recommend them because when I went to pay they added on a la cart fees knowing that I didn't receive a full pedicure service when I informed them that I no longer wanted a dip powder manicure. ** To benefit LV Nails was in the next shopping center. I waited about 45 minutes while Holly did someone else's nails. The owner came to me and escorted me to the manicure area. Holly told me the lady next to me was all most finished, well I waited almost 30 minutes until the manager came to me and said he would do my nails. No apologies,no water, nothing. This is not the way to handle a customer. I must say my nails were done well but I will not be returning. I would not recommend this salon.
