The school does have fantastic reward system where they hand out wrist bands and trophies based on how long the students are with the school. We have met and had some really nice teachers but if you are looking for solid foundation, this is not a good place to go. But if you want a place where you can try different instruments out and see which one you are interested in, this may be the place for you to start. Although it is quite rare, They DO charge you for cancelling. Yes, very ridiculous and does not make any sense. I was very shocked when I saw the cancellation fees on my last statement. Update - in response to Casey (owner) 's comment - Hi Casey, thank you for your comment. I do appreciate the information that you gave out. As students and parents, there was absolutely no way for us to know how you run your business or how booked the teachers are. As I mentioned before, we had some, actually a couple of them, within 6 months (only) while my kids were with yours music school, great and nice teachers. Again, I am not here to bash them, but just to have opinions about how we feel with your music school. Every business has their targeted clients, and I just had my own opinions about how I felt when we were your clients and as parents who are looking for services for their kids, I truly believe these personal opinions are greatly appreciated.

The customer service is awful, there seems to be zero accountability for maintaining consistent instructors, and the experience has been nothing like what they advertise. They make this place look incredibly fun, professional, and glamorous from the outside and on their website, but when it comes to actually delivering the service you are paying for, they have completely failed us. We have had instructor after instructor after instructor. There has been absolutely no consistency. Just when our child starts getting comfortable with someone, something changes and we are back to square one again. What really pushed me over the edge, though, was when we specifically told management that there was one particular drum instructor we did not want our child assigned to again. I won't name him, but we were very clear about our concerns and were specifically told that we would not have him again. Then, poof...our newest new instructor is suddenly no longer our instructor, and magically the exact person we explicitly said we did not want is now our full-time instructor. So what was the point of us communicating our concerns? What was the point of management telling us it would be handled if they were just going to turn around and do the exact opposite? That is what really says everything to me about how this place operates. This place feels like a complete smoke-and-mirrors operation. They sell you this image of a fun, exciting, professional music experience for your child, but our actual experience has been constant instructor turnover, poor communication, broken assurances, and management that seemingly does not care about what parents are telling them. If you are considering sending your child here, I strongly recommend that you read the negative reviews carefully and seriously consider finding a private instructor instead. I legitimately cannot remember dealing with managers, owners, or a business model that I have had less confidence in than this place. Keep your kids away. Find a private instructor. You've been warned. The choice is yours.

Went in to but a wireless guitar system and they only had 2 employees and about 15 customers…read morewaiting for help. When it came my turn a person from the drum department helped me and he had no idea what I was talking about. The other employee knew what I needed and tried to educate the drum guy with my help. Their computer system said they had 5 of them but they could not be found after a very brief search. I selected an alternative system that was not really what I wanted but works so far. All the guitars I tried were very poorly setup. Another employee finally showed up as I was looking at a PRS SE Mccarty. I asked the employee why the guitar was $1400.00 instead of $600 to $900 as it is priced elsewhere. He just grabbed the guitar out of my hand, said he had to give a lesson and disappeared with the guitar. Lost sale and customer for Guitar Center. Won't be going back for a long long long time. Time to go to Reverb for my future buys.

But check my math: monthly lessons for $360/month. To make it easy, assume 4 weeks per month...so that's 4 lessons for $360, or $90 per lesson. Here's the real kicker...they're 45 minute lessons, not hour long. So, $90 for 45 minutes is $2 per minute. If you extrapolate this to the standard 1 hour lesson (I mean come on, you only offer 45 minute lessons?), then it's $2/minute x 60 minutes or $120 an hour!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me? $120 per hour? You can get a professional engineer designing a spaceship to Mars for that rate. Ridiculous. Work a standard year at those rates and you're pulling in $240k. Yikes. I wouldn't be surprised if the monthly rate and 45 minute sessions are all part of the marketing to hide the fact they charge over $100 per hour.

When I pointed this out, the manager, David, left a voicemail to the effect that they wouldn't cover my return shipping because (in all seriousness) he doesn't "know anyone who uses batteries in pedals." I pointed out that I'm now left with a choice of an expensive repair or expensive return shipping (it's a heavy, vintage pedal) - a message that David simply ignored. Reading other reviews here, I'm clearly far from the only customer who has been disappointed by Music Go Round Fort Worth's misrepresentation of gear online. AVOID!
