My taco craving struck again so I was on a mission to find some amazing tacos! Seeing as I usually stick to my list of old faithfuls, I wanted to try something new. I started looking around and saw that Spartaco would be at the Truck Yard. This seemed perfect so I decided to give them a try. While I wasn't completely blown away, the tacos were solid. I got four tacos, 3 regular (marinated pork, chicken, and steak) - and 1 steak spartaco (came with jack cheese, guacamole, onion and cilantro). The spartaco was easily the best out of the four, because of the guacamole and cheese. However, while the flavors were pretty good, none of the meat was as tender as I would've hoped and overall, the meal just wasn't very filling. The tacos are truly tiny so it was more of a snack. The red and green salsas were delicious! The heat definitely was a slow build but the more you ate, the spicier they got. All in all, I'd say these are solid tacos. Not the best i've ever had but definitely not the worst.

I got 3 tacos with beans and rice. The portion size was very very small for the price. Be careful, not a good value.

We don't make it in person as often as we'd like, but we order delivery almost every single weekend--and seriously, we couldn't live without it!! The pozole is the reason. It is absolutely divine. I genuinely dream about it during the week, counting down until the weekend because that's the only time they serve it. The meat is unbelievably tender--melt‑in‑your‑mouth tender--and the flavor is rich, comforting, and deeply satisfying. It's one of those dishes that sticks with you long after the bowl is empty. Everything else is consistently excellent too. The guacamole is always fresh and delicious. All of their salsas are vibrant, fresh, and full of flavor, and you can really taste the quality. Their chips and tortillas are also fresh and delicious, which makes such a difference and really rounds out the whole meal. When we do go to the restaurant in person, the experience is just as good. The servers are always helpful and friendly, the bar is great, and while the atmosphere may not be over‑the‑top fancy, it's comfortable, welcoming, and always very clean, which we really appreciate. Calles de Mexico is one of those rare places that's incredibly consistent over the years. Whether you're dining in or ordering delivery, they never disappoint. And if you're lucky enough to catch them on the weekend--do not miss the pozole!!

What this place lacks in ambience, it more than makes up for in flavor. We ordered both the Taco Tex (Chicken Tinga, Al Pastor, Spicy Chicken) and Taco Mex (Al Pastor, Chicken Tinga, Spicy Chicken), along with fries and a Michelada. The tacos were truly out of this world--perfectly spicy, incredibly flavorful, and packed with juicy, well-seasoned meat. Each variety had its own distinct taste, and everything felt fresh and authentic. We loaded them up with the sauces available at the table, and that just elevated the flavors to the next level. The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned--simple but done right. My husband really enjoyed the Michelada as well; it paired perfectly with the tacos. If you're looking for great Mexican street-style tacos, this place absolutely delivers. I only wish I had more time in Dallas to go back for another round, because this spot definitely left us wanting more.

We checked the menu on the wall, placed our order with a friendly staff member, and found a table. Our name was called about five minutes later. My partner ordered a pork taco and a shrimp taco and really enjoyed them. He especially liked the shrimp, which had a little heat. I ordered the seasonal vegetable bowl (gluten-free). It was a generous portion with corn, sweet potato, pickled onion, cauliflower, poblano, guac, cilantro, slaw, and rice. The food is definitely worth the price, and we'll visit again when in the area.

And yes, it was good but the extras for delivery will put you in the poor house. I recently arrived for a pick up at one of our distributors. They at least were honest that they needed about two hours to prepare the order. Well, instead of just sitting there I ventured over to Velvet Taco a mile or so away. In Austin if you're a corporate taco person there's Torchy's. Not too many VT locations versus the local start up. Flavors sounded interesting; prices seemed right with a deal posted on the wall. Quick order and I'm walking out the door. Both tacos were great. The Gyro had an authentic crossover flavor; same for the flair of the Korean Fried Rice. Drink could have been bigger. Only complaint I could offer was there were hot sauces at the register with containers to make them togo.

So maybe call to confirm if you make reservations. Luckily there were plenty of open seats and my party of 8 was seated quickly. The place itself is truly stunning. It is bright and modern, wonderful decor and comfortable seating. The menu is full of fun and creative taco options. We started with the sushi nachos which were very good ! Margarita flight was just ok, pomegranate was my favorite there. Everyone tried different tacos and while they were all unique and stunning to look at, the flavor didn't match the presentation. Most of them were just ok, nothing memorable. This is a one and done for me. It's pricey, they charge a fee for credit card payments and while everything looked amazing the taste wasn't there.

Service was great around lunchtime, seated immediately and food within 15 minutes. I will say I ordered the shrimp and lobster taco at first because how could you not?!? When I got it, it was really not good... Super salty but I'm still giving all the stars because they gave me no issues at all about ordering something else as a replacement and the server even came back to say the kitchen staff tried it and it was abnormally salty and apologized. Gotta love that for caring service. Instead I ordered the salmon taco and it was soooooo dang good I ordered more to go home with. Overall this will definitely be on my list when we come to see the inlaws in th future.

This visit did not disappoint me. The tacos were delicious and flavorful. I also tried some recommended favorites of friends. The Lobster and Shrimp Taco was amazing. It was well seasoned and the scampi sauce was finger licking good! It was delightful and delectable bite. The Philly Cheesesteak was loaded with peppers, onions and lots of meat. It was a great tasting and fun taco. The Spicy Mango Margarita on happy hour was perfect. It had a nice kick and the tajin rim was the perfect touch. The ambiance is so cool for tacos. It's just the cutest place. A happy and colorful restaurant. It was clean, cozy and comfortable. Service was good the waiter was pleasant. I took my mom with me and she enjoyed herself. This one was hard to rate 4 stars for food…read more3 for service and cost On the one hand the interior is beautiful, stunning and so fun. The menu has so many tasty offerings and the food was delicious. However, the prices are, in my opinion, steep for street size food. My Mahi Mahi taco was delicious, but it was small. I was still hungry and could have easily ordered a second or even third taco BUT at $11 for one taco that was too steep for lunch. Instead, Dani and I PAID to split chips + salsa - not free, but a paid appetizer. Our server was so quiet we had trouble hearing him and he mostly left us to ourselves, occasionally dropping by to fill waters. Dream Tacos has excellent food, but the portion sizes and cost are far too steep for this area and for being a taco joint. Sadly, I don't think they will last at these ptoces in this location.
