I booked the specific inflatable(under the Sea) for our Disney themed party as it had a clown fish resembling Nemo. Also it was one fee to have the inflatable for the entire weekend where others wanted to deliver and pick up the same day. The delivery came while I was at work and my wife was at home. she stated that at first the gentlemen on the delivery were friendly. But when she was trying to explain where and how she wanted the item placed and facing that a couple of the guys became frustrated and not as friendly. she had called me and explained that the inflatable did not match the one we ordered, but due to the increased frustration of the workers she didn't feel comfortable asking them about the mistake. The next day when I came home from work I verified that the slide didn't match what I had ordered and I sent an email in. Even had the item matched what we ordered it was very worn with multiple tears in the material and the netting. there was no spray hose attached to wet the slide, and it was very dirty. In fact my kids feet and clothing were covered with dirt in just 5 minutes of playing on it. However the response was very quick to my email and stated that they would be bringing the item that was actually ordered the next day to switch them out. I was pleased to hear that and I received a call the next day toward the end of the work day asking if it would be ok to deliver the replacement the morning after that(which was actual party day). While I was hesitant as I didn't want any issues the day of the party I ultimately agreed as the gentleman assured me it would be there no later than 0800am. The next day they arrived a little after 9am(late but still before the party). They switched them out quickly and were on their way. The replacement was indeed what we had ordered. The condition was still a bit worn but acceptable. It was however filled with wet leaves probably from a previous rental which we eventually cleaned and blew out ourselves. During the party we hooked up the water to spray the slide. The spray hose however seemed to be broken as it just sprayed a single stream of water out into the air rather than down onto the slide itself. Overall we made it work and the kids had fun, but I would say the experience wasn't 5 stars. If it weren't for the quick response and willingness to switch out the items I probably wouldn't try renting from Spatola again, but since they did, I would try one more time, but until then I also wouldn't make a recommendation to others to use them until I have another experience myself. read more

My daughter used Spatola's for her wedding and there were many red flags. She ordered chairs and round tables for the wedding. 1. The day before delivery, the company contacted her saying they could not find the 14 round tables. They said they could bring rectangle tables and tablecloths, since she had already ordered linen tablecloths for the round tables. She said we needed 10 rectangle tables. 2. The company was to deliver the tables and chairs Friday, the day before the wedding, between 12-2pm. They arrived at 7pm. 3. Upon arrival, two of the workers were obviously high. 4. And they brought 8 rectangle tables, not the 10 she ordered. When my daughter called to tell them she ordered 10 tables and not 8, the woman on the phone argued with her. My daughter was calling from her rehearsal dinner. 5. Because of the substitution of rectangle tables instead of round tables, the company did provide tablecloths. Just cheap plastic ones. Because of the company not being able to "find" the round tables she ordered, the reception looked more like a cafeteria and not like the elegant reception the bride planned. My neighbors used Spatola's for their son's grad party, and they had a positive experience, so we decided to use them, as well. I'd highly recommend them for your event needs. They came when they said they were going to, did an excellent job of setting up, and were here when they said they would be for pick up. The crews that set up and broke down were some of the friendliest people I've met. The person I worked with called me right away to discuss my needs after I emailed him. He was informative and helped me find the best/most affordable option for my daughter's grad party. Overall, the entire experience was positive. My neighbors will definitely use them next year for their son's grad party, and I plan on using them for my son's party in 2027. read more

From the booking, to their easy website, to the customer service person who helped me figure out exactly what I needed - I experienced very friendly, helpful customer service Drop off/set up crew was communicative and on time. A company like thjs is only as good as the owner and their staff. In my opinion, they currently have a strong staff. We had no issues, so cannot comment on how they remediate hiccups when they arise. BUYER BEWARE: If I could give zero stars then I would. This place is awful. We placed a large order on May 31st for a Funeral Repass on June 2nd. Spatola's Party Rental took the credit card information, as well as confirmed a delivery date and time of June 1 at 4:00 pm, since they are not open on Saturdays. Upon the delivery time, this company never called anyone and never showed up. My concern is which employee took my credit card information and placed my order because this company claims that my credit card information was never placed in their credit card database, nor is there a record of me placing an order. Despite the fact that the owner himself, (Bob Spatola), initially answered the call and had a female employee call us back within a couple minutes to take the order. As it stands we have an abundance of family and friends that have flown in to town for a funeral and fellowship and have no tables and chairs. I found this company to be unprofessional, the situation disheartening and very disrespectful to the family and friends of the deceased. read more

So, the three stars are for the owner himself, Bob Spatola contacting me to inquire on an earlier set up date. Also, for the fast and efficient rental process. The 'kids' however who came to actually set up the tent were SO rude. When I tried to talk about where the tent would be when they arrived I was told 'were just trying to get this tent up'. In other words stop taking to us. Did Not ask where I wanted it and when I went out to make a position request I was asked 'well what direction is it now?' Like what?! How about 'ok no problem'! We reserved a 30x30 tent for a wedding rehearsal dinner this past weekend in Geneva, NY. It came with a light in top and we also paid extra for twinkle lights to be put up around the top of the tent. The tent was FABULOUS and for once, we rented a tent AND it rained (so gratifying since if you do put up a tent, it never rains and if you don't, it always does!). 100+ guests stayed dry and happy under the tent during these drizzly times. Minus one star because the guys coming to put up the tent were 2 hours late without calling (and certainly delayed my aunt's day, whose job it was to instruct them where to put up the tent - important as we were in a large field near rented cottages (Cobtree Cottages, for interest)), and minus a second star because they didn't set up the tables and chairs as they were supposed to. Were do I begin? We rented 20x20 ft tent this past weekend, it took this company 3 separate trips, 4 phone calls in a span of 5 hrs to deliver the correct order. Let alone the fact they pulled up in a truck with another company's logo on the side. They forgot the tent poles and then tables leaving without saying anything. Dropping equipment on the incorrect side of the house. 1 hour after our party began one of the side poles fell almost hitting a table full of kids. It was installed to loosely. We have pictures and a party full of guests to confirm. Spoke with a gentleman who said they would be right out to fix, 2 hours into the party they came readjusted the pole correctly and then left without a word. I called the next day left a message on the machine about the experience I had and did not receive a call back. Today after 2 calls I finally got ahold of a "manager" Erica. After venting my frustration she insulted me by offering a 30% refund after leaving my guests at risk for 2 hours. I asked for a full refund. She then stated she would speak to the owner who then stated he would only give 30% refund. She was rude and condescending, I had her on speaker phone which my family heard what she said and the tone she used with a paying customer. Never ever use this company, please choose another. We should have stuck with who we have used in the past with no issue and wonderful customer service. read more

I rented tables and chairs for my daughter's graduation party. The delivery was late and the pick up was even later. The chairs were dirty and all had to be cleaned (frosting, sprinkles, various food on them). The tables were very old, heavy, (they don't set anything up for you, they drop it and leave it) wooden tables with a lot of broken chipped wood. We ended up getting a few slivers setting up. I used Bob Spatola for my wedding and was not impressed with their service at all. I had my wedding in my backyard and I am biased mostly because my sister used Tailored Events out of Canandaigua,ny 2 years prior and had absolutely NO issues and everything went smoothly. I chose Bob Spatola's because I got a discount through my work and wish I would have just spent the little extra to go with tailored events and not have a huge headache! We ordered the tent with lighting package and pole liners as well as tables/chairs etc. They delivered on a Thursday and not only did they forget the pole liners and lights to go around the poles they were missing some tables/linens and the caps for the tent stakes. I was not that upset because my wedding was Saturday and assumed all would be fixed by then. So I called them and they assured me everything would be there on Friday after asking me if I had any friends that could swing by on their way down to where our location was and grab the missing things(that was when I started to get upset!). So Friday comes and not only did they forget the tent stakes and 2 food tables which we ended up having to go to a local club and borrow tables and make do with linens they took ALL day to put up the remaining lighting around poles and pole liners because they said they had never done it before! so my rehearsal dinner was there Friday night and we had about a half hour to set up because they were finally clearing out after being there. I probably wouldn't have been as upset that it took so long if I wouldn't have know my sister had the exact same lighting and tent etc and it took them about 6 hours to put up everything the thurs before and they didn't forget a thing... and last but not least we used a battery pack that my brother in law uses at the college he works at which has never had any issues- and it kept tripping the breaker because all the lights kept shorting out. we mentioned it to the guys before they left because half the pole kept going unlit- they fixed It and left and of coarse the lights kept shorting out. I don't know if it is because they do not replace their bulbs enough or maybe it was a busy weekend and we got the last set of old lights in the warehouse but it was just overall kind of a mess.... and for someone who is trying to save $ and does not have a wedding planner it caused a WHOLE lot of stress for me which I wish I could have avoided on my wedding day:( and of coarse on the honeymoon they called and said we were missing linens- I explained to them the 2 linens we were supposedly missing may have never came along with the 2 tables we got and no tent stakes(we had to use duct tape around stakes so people didn't cut themselves if they tripped on one in the dark). I did not ask for a discount or refund but explained the whole situation... they said they would call back, they didn't ever call me back and obviously didn't charge me for the linens. read more
