Super friendly, great service, delicious food. Got the plain bagel with egg and cheese. They made the egg on the stove (not microwaved). If I lived here, this would easily become my go to coffee shop. Also worth noting: they have free wifi. Just be mindful parking requires quarters if you drive to the cafe. read more

The honey vanilla caramel latte with half the syrup is perfect. Not too sweet but just right. The cappuccino had a bit too much milk so it was more like a latte but still good. Will be coming back next time we drive through to or from Killington read more

Pretty good, but definitely overpriced and service was lacking. Went there for the first time the other day and it is a cool little hangout right in downtown Rutland with a couple of tables and couches. Upon entering the barista looked up and did not say anything until several moments later when I finally stepped to the counter. The cook was even less friendly and seemed as if she didn't want anything to do with you. As far as the food, it was good but extremely overpriced. I got a SINGLE egg, bacon and cheese burrito for more than $5 and it was hardly filling. In order to get anything else added like onions, peppers, salsa, sour cream or whatever, it was an extra charge. I've been to other places where you get two eggs, bacon, cheese, home fries and more for the same price. It was good but be prepared to open your wallet. read more

This is my absolute favorite place to go while in Rutland. It has a wonderful atmosphere, excellent coffee, and delectable baked goods. It is always a treat for my tastebuds. You can easily go by yourself or with friends, and sit for a while or just get something to go. While the actual cafe was very cute and the staff seemed friendly, I ordered a Chai Tea Latte and was incredibly disappointed. The drink tasted like straight honey and was completely undrinkable. I asked if they could diffuse it with milk (or ANYTHING really) and they charged me for it. Even after adding an entire cup of milk to the drink, it was still too sweet and did not taste like chai. I totally understand that this happens sometimes, but the staff seemed unapologetic and had no issue charging me more money to make their drink somewhat drinkable. read more

Very cute quaint place and great coffee. My friend ordered a chai latte with almond milk and would give it a "10". Better than a very well known coffee house that starts with 'S'. I had an iced vanilla honey Carmel latte with almond milk and VERY delicious. Customer service good. Not over the top friendly but very helpful and nice. read more

We had to be in Rutland for a medical appointment and were thrilled to find this place open. Fast, easy, and the lovely woman delivered it to us in our car outside. Nice spot! Excellent breakfast sandwiches (with maple boar bacon. YUM!). Great coffee too. Very nicely decorated with vintage cabinets and cool tables. They even have books and board games you can use while sipping your coffee. This is what all coffee shops should be like. read more

I really enjoy finding places like this in downtown Rutland. It is a fine example of small cafe's and coffee shops sparked by the Starbucks trend. But it doesn't have all of the burden of corporate trimmings. It has spacious seating, no cramped tables and chairs. It has good view of Center Street. The brews are wide ranging from heavy roast to light and sugary. I had a large mug of the Sugarhouse Latte which has a wonderful maple sugar sweetness infused in it. There are eats as well but I hadn't sampled them. Service is friendly, not overly fast but will serve you to your table when it's ready if you're sitting. It is worth the stop if you are thinking coffee and some relaxing sit down, down time. If anything, come in for the wonderful smell of the place! read more

This is crazy! I would like to SPEAK EASY about this places great service! The girls (I think they were named Grace and Sidell?) were sooo nice and helpful and pleasant. Somebody give these girls a raise. A group of us went in and we just wanted to stay all day to chat and drink great drinks! I stopped in on an early Sunday morning after staying overnight in Rutland. I had their dark roast coffee and Santa Fe Breakfast Burrito. Both were excellent, I really loved the cup of coffee. The only downer was the slow service. There was one woman behind the counter. She did everything, make the breakfast sandwich to order, pour coffee, prepare espresso drinks and take orders. The coffee and breakfast burrito would bring me back anytime I am in Rutland. read more

Love this place!! Their iced coffee is second to none and they offer milk alternatives like almond, soy, and more. The owner, Bridget, makes the best biscuits EVER! They always have plain ones or a daily special (like Bee Sting, a Sriracha honey creation or gruyere mushroom). Staff is super friendly, and the food is incredible! Sit down and stay a little! Cute little place in rutland. Had a great selection of lattes and reading material. I went with the maple bacon and the s'mores. The maple bacon was light in flavor and the s'mores tasted like a hot chocolate. Both around $4 and served in huge mugs. Cute atmosphere but my main complaint was the customer service from the one barista. She was not welcoming and made us feel like our order was a burden to her. She didn't smile and didn't make me want to come back and sit. I'll get my coffee to go next time. read more

My husband and I were looking for a lunch place on a Monday and this was one of the few places we found open. It was a coffee place, so the eating options were limited. I ordered the soup of the day--Buttermilk bisque with shrimp, and my husband had an egg sandwich on homemade cheddar jalapeno biscuit and cold spiced cider. This. place. is. the. bomb. My husband and I went in August when we were in town for a wedding. It was so truly delicious that we made sure to go each of the three days we were there! The iced coffee is amazing - ice cubes made of coffee, and really so flavorful. Her chocolate cookies are among the best that I have ever had, and I would probably go there on a weekly basis for coffee and cookies if we lived closer (we're in the DC area). One of my favorite places to visit in VT. It's sort of up the hill but there is always parking out front and it is delicious. The owner will make you pretty much anything coffee or tea wise and has homemade pastries in the front and other options as well. I saw her pouring pure maple syrup on a patrons oatmeal the other day and it looked amazing. Anytime we visit from NJ, I like to make a stop here. read more
