An excellent experience. In brief, I'm in town on business and on short notice Jane was able to "squeeze" me in,,,,on her off day. I requested a relatively small, simplistic tattoo but got far more than what I expected. Jane has an amazingly light touch to the point where I almost fell asleep. Needlessly to say I'm planning on making another trip back to L.A. soon to have her do more work. And given the ambiance of the shop itself, I plan on having Scott do some work on me as well. Let's get this out of the way first, Scott is an amazing artist. That's nothing new, you can look through his body of work and come to that conclusion pretty quickly. But much like the precise details of his work, it is in the details of the overall experience that makes getting a piece of art here a must. Scott welcomes you into his studio with all the grace and humility of a long-lost friend. This was my first tattoo, and I certainly was scared, but Scott alleviated those fears quickly between his light application and warm personality. The actual tattoo application experience was extremely tolerable and made me, a real needle wuss, feel just fine throughout the application. To be completely honest, had I not found Scott, I'm pretty sure I would not have had any work done. My new tattoo from Scott Glazier at Speakeasy Tattoo is absolutely georgous !!!! This is my second piece from Scott and at this point I don't think I'll ever let anyone else tattoo me. My new tattoo is an intracate piece of Tibetan calligraphy that Scott executed PERFECTLY. I really appreciated the privacy of his studio as the piece is in a private spot. I wasn't laying out in a tattoo parlor trying to keep covered with people walking by staring in the window (I done that before and trust me, it's not fun). I also liked that Scott helped me decide on the placement so it would really flow with my body, really important so that it wouldn't look rubbber stamped on. I can't say enough about speak easy tattoo and Scott. From the moment I had my consultation I knew this tattoo and this shop was going to be on a completely different level then what I was use to. Scott's amazing. You will realize this within the first few minutes of speaking with him. I used the website to submit the image and idea of what I wanted as a tattoo and got a response within an hour. About a week later I was in for a consult with Scott to discuss what I wanted and he said he was very excited to do the piece... which is everything I wanted to hear when getting a tattoo that means a lot to me. He is super professional and lays everything out on the table during the consult so you know what to expect. He's truly an artist and obviously knows what he is talking about. Two months later is was time for my tattoo and it was a positive experience. Took about 2 and half hours. Scott and his apprentice Jane are very chill cool people, they seemed to vibe well together and made the environment relaxing... I didn't feel uncomfortable or intimidated at all, which can sometimes happen in a tattoo parlor. At the end of the appointment, Scott was very thorough about after care. He said I should come back in about 2 months to let him know if I need any touch ups which will be free. It was late at night and he walked me out to my car which to me, is going above and beyond. I have nothing but good things to say about Scott and Jane. Now that I have had this experience and while I'm still living in LA, I can't imagine going to anyone else for future tattoos!! read more

This is a far more intimate setting than any commercial tattoo shop. The work is all 100% original and it's in a cool industrial warehouse that has been converted to an art gallery.
