After speaking with the worker there, we got the Romeo y Julieta 1875 Nicaragua Connecticut which is supposed to have a smooth and mild flavor profile along with being creamy with subtle hints of spice and sweetness. Although I didn't really enjoy smoking the cigar (I guess it's not for me...yet), it did have a crisp & clean finish. They have tons of cigars to choose from making this a great spot for new or casual cigar smokers!

Upon attempting to clean them for the 1st time one of the shanks broke on one of them. The young man behind the counter called the owner and sent him pictures. The owner refused to credit or offer a return. I own 50 or 60 pipes and have only encountered a warranty issue once. That was at El fuego and they credited towards a new pipe without a second thought. Buyer be warned the selection here is good but if you have an issue they will absolutely not stand behind their offerings. .

During this time, they relocated from a much smaller location to where they currently reside which has a lot more space. They took advantage of this space and created a huge walk-in humidor along with establishing a couple of lounge areas which included TVs. As with everything else, due to the arrival of covid, they have made a few adjustments to ensure safety. For openers, as per local ordinance and mask is required to enter the store. Both entrances to the walk-in humidor have hand-sanitizer stations with signs requiring the use of the hand-sanitizer before entering the humidor. They are restricting the lounge capacity to allow for physical distancing. The staff here continues to be very knowledgeable when it comes to cigars and the necessary accessories. They are very aware of their inventory and whether a specific item is available. In the event it is unavailable, they will recommend something similar to try. On my most recent visit, I called ahead of time to check on two different cigar labels, one which they had and unfortunately, the other they do not stock (it is a boutique/small batch cigar label which can be difficult to locate). These are interesting time we are currently experiencing and places like this are adjusting as best they can to safely accommodate customers. To assist with this, you can call ahead and place your order which they will have at the counter upon your arrival. Cigar Warehouse continues to be my cigar shop of choice. If you are a #BOTL or #SOTL, I highly recommend checking them out.

For…read moremany years the former manager of the club, Mark Bartlett, created a welcoming atmosphere, a fun environment, and truly build a sense of community. Mark wasn't the greatest businessman in the world, and we members put up with the lacking ventilation, dirty bathrooms, old furniture, and other shortcomings because of Mark......we knew how much he loved us and that shop. Since his unfortunate passing the owner has brought in a new manager and the words "customer service" or "member" are not part of his vocabulary. Numerous changes have been implemented that make us all feel more like a number than a member, but the most egregious came last Thursday when I walked in the shop and the poker table where I and a number of other members gathered a few days a week to play some cards had been taken out. No warning, no conversation, no explanation. When I initiated a discussion with the manager, he basically told me that my and our opinions did not matter, as we are "just members". After 20 years, we were cast aside like some dirt off the bottom of your shoe. I hate to say it but I, as well as about another 15+ members have quit our memberships. It has been a sad week and this has been very difficult to write.
