Had a linden tree in my backyard but the tree had accumulating damage over years and had its trunk split in half all the way to the ground, therefore needed to remove a whole tree. They have all the equipments for their needs and removed the 70 feet tall linden in no time. 6 men crew showed up and they were all professional. Inspector Louie and I had a great experience removing 5 trees on my property working with Spear's Tree Service in Canton. They are the most professional company I've worked with (not just tree removal). I had a few concerns with removing the tree's: like damage to my new driveway, how close the large maple is to my house, and how close my backyard trees were to my neighbors garage. Brian (owner) came out a second time to take a look at my concerns and was confident they would have no issues. They even gave me their insurance policy with the quote so I could feel reassured that if something did happen, their insurance would take care of it. The crew was extremely friendly and professional and very helpful answering some questions I had this morning. They showed up exactly when they said they would. They have 6 guys working and got the four 20+ft spruce trees down, cut up, and chipped within 45 minutes! The largest tree in my front yard required the use of a Crane, and the entire jobs including clean up was about 4.5 hours. Overall I felt relieved and happy that this job was done well and we can move onto the next project. We had a large maple that had one limb overhanging the house. We had a smaller maple (20 ft or so) that was totally dead. For the entire job, Spears quoted substantially less than a competitor. So, I told them to bump it up a notch and do some trimming around our power lines. And entire crew of 4 or 5 was dispatched. They were prompt, courteous, and got the job done in under 3 hours. read more

I can't say enough great things about Spears. Their pricing was fair (after having three other quotes done) and everyone on their team was very friendly and professional. We needed three massive trees removed on our property and one reputable tree service company couldn't do it (due to height) and that company recommended Spears. They had to remove our fence, in order to get to the trees and everything was put back when they were done. I recently had my 25 ft tall blue spruce trimmed by Spears Tree Service. When I called to get an estimate I stated that the tree is about 25 ft tall. I was quoted $400 to trim the tree. When the men trimmed the tree, they used a pole trimmer and we're not able to reach the top 8 - 10 feet. So, the top was not trimmed. I WOULD NOT USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!! read more

Had about 12-15 trees to remove (w/stumps ground) and another 6-8 trees to trim. Jobsite offered limited access and required substantial precision to avoid collateral damage. We collected a few bids with one in particular looking great, but Brian and his crew went above and beyond to win the job and do it right. They were in and out in 7 hours, including cleanup. Spears Tree Service is amazing! They removed (3) 70-100 foot trees by bringing in a crane so that there would be no damage to our landscaping, swing set, or remaining trees. Most companies were not able to do trees this large that were close to our home but they had the equipment and expertise to do it.
