Riverside CCW Training - All Women's Class taught by All Women Instructors

    Riverside CCW Training

I honestly went into this class thinking it was going to be pretty straightforward. Take a written…read moretest, complete the shooting qualification, learn some stuff and head home. I couldn't have been more wrong. What I walked away with was knowledge that I'll carry with me for the rest of my life. This wasn't just about getting a CCW. It was about learning how to safely and responsibly carry a firearm, properly draw and holster, understanding how your mind and body react under stress, making good decisions in an emergency, and even learning skills that could potentially save a life and the list goes on! The amount of information and real world experience shared throughout the class was incredible. Something that stood out to me was the range time. The instructors didn't just check a box to make sure you could pass the shooting qualification. They actually took the time to teach. They coached students, corrected mistakes, explained the "why" behind what they were doing, and made sure everyone left becoming a better, safer, and more confident shooter. That meant a lot to me because they genuinely cared that you learned....not that you just passed. What stood out to me most was hearing John's personal experiences and the lessons he's learned throughout his career. There was no ego, no "I know everything" attitude. Instead, he openly talked about learning from mistakes and constantly striving to become better. That kind of humility made the instruction feel genuine, relatable, and just so damn human. The curriculum was impressive but, it was the people that did it for me! Yes, every instructor was clearly knowledgeable and highly experienced. That was obvious. But what surprised me was how humble, patient, kind, and approachable every single person was. It genuinely felt like John didn't just build a team based on credentials, he built a team of good human beings. People who care, who teach with empathy, and who truly want every student to leave more confident, more prepared, and safer than when they arrived. Like most people, my schedule is packed, and making time for long classes isn't something I do lightly. But this course was worth every minute. It completely exceeded my expectations, and I can honestly say I'll be coming back to take more classes. If you're looking for a place that doesn't just teach you how to qualify for a CCW, but teaches you how to think, stay calm, be responsible, become a better, safer firearm owner, and be around straight up good people, this is it. Thank you, John, and the entire Riverside CCW team. You didn't just help me earn my CCW, you gave me an education I'll carry with me for life.

Their use of videos and didactic instruction is valuable to anyone getting their CCW or renewing. Recently, I took part in their RedDot Optics class. This opened my eyes to the challenges we face using optics on our handguns and allowed me to sharpen my skills related to rapid target acquisition, proper grip and sight enhancement. Thank you John for ALL you do for our community. And Paul RDO class.

After finishing the rounds I brought, I noticed my groupings were down and to the left. Since I had just installed a new optic, I thought it might not be zeroed correctly. On my way out, I decided to ask for some advice. Mike was extremely kind and took the time to ask a few questions to understand the issue. He then gave me about 36 rounds, told me to grab a new target, and said he'd meet me in a lane. Long story short, he spent 10-15 minutes helping to figure out the problem and got me shooting in the right direction ;) at no cost. I didn't expect that at all and couldn't be more grateful for his time. I also met Steven, the owner, who was just as friendly and took time to answer my questions about purchasing specific firearms. At no point did I feel like a burden. Thanks again for your time, I'll definitely be back, even with a 30-40 minute commute. It's worth it.

This place was way more chill and actually felt like you could enjoy yourself without someone watching your every move.
