I couldn't have been more wrong. What I walked away with was knowledge that I'll carry with me for the rest of my life. This wasn't just about getting a CCW. It was about learning how to safely and responsibly carry a firearm, properly draw and holster, understanding how your mind and body react under stress, making good decisions in an emergency, and even learning skills that could potentially save a life and the list goes on! The amount of information and real world experience shared throughout the class was incredible. Something that stood out to me was the range time. The instructors didn't just check a box to make sure you could pass the shooting qualification. They actually took the time to teach. They coached students, corrected mistakes, explained the "why" behind what they were doing, and made sure everyone left becoming a better, safer, and more confident shooter. That meant a lot to me because they genuinely cared that you learned....not that you just passed. What stood out to me most was hearing John's personal experiences and the lessons he's learned throughout his career. There was no ego, no "I know everything" attitude. Instead, he openly talked about learning from mistakes and constantly striving to become better. That kind of humility made the instruction feel genuine, relatable, and just so damn human. The curriculum was impressive but, it was the people that did it for me! Yes, every instructor was clearly knowledgeable and highly experienced. That was obvious. But what surprised me was how humble, patient, kind, and approachable every single person was. It genuinely felt like John didn't just build a team based on credentials, he built a team of good human beings. People who care, who teach with empathy, and who truly want every student to leave more confident, more prepared, and safer than when they arrived. Like most people, my schedule is packed, and making time for long classes isn't something I do lightly. But this course was worth every minute. It completely exceeded my expectations, and I can honestly say I'll be coming back to take more classes. If you're looking for a place that doesn't just teach you how to qualify for a CCW, but teaches you how to think, stay calm, be responsible, become a better, safer firearm owner, and be around straight up good people, this is it. What attracted me most was that the class was mostly Online. What started as me just trying to complete something to check a box, turned into an engaging training experience. Mr. Galletta has both a passion and a skill for teaching. Although it started as an online course, it felt like I was sitting in the classroom gaining the experience I needed. Following the online course, I also signed up for the live fire qualification. I had the pleasure of Mr. Galletta personally overseeing my qualification. From speaking directly to him, he genuinely cares about giving you the tools you need to protect yourself. Downgrading my rating from a 5 star to a 2 star. I called Grizzly Firearms Inc today about having…read morean online ordered trigger delivered to them, an FFL. The FFL requirement is due to the new CA AB 1263. Shockingly, the store said they would charge "$25 to $35" just to "process" the trigger. This immediately came off as exploitative of law abiding consumers. I was supposed to agree that storing a tiny trigger group would cost Grizzly Firearms Inc $25-$35? Additionally, the desk clerk suggested that trigger orders from online retailers must be delivered to an FFL, which I later found to be inaccurate. I later contacted another FFL, who asked for $10 to process the trigger, and informed me that online retailers can actually ship triggers to consumers as long as the latter agree to sign the package and verify their addresses. It is unfortunate that FFL and citizens must abide by California's 2A-infringing laws. However, I find that charging consumers $25-$35 for accepting online transfer of mere trigger groups, which take up little space, definitely come off as greedy and unpatriotic. Very disappointing, and extra disappointing knowing that this FLL claims to be a Christian business. This is not it!
