As someone that's only been shooting for fun at the range, training with Daniel in more practical life scenarios has brought a whole new level of experience with guns. Not only did he provide excellent gun safety awareness, but he goes into detail of explaining every little action and why it's important. Many times I found myself struggling and failing, but his effective coaching helped me to correct my mistakes and leave the training an exponentially better shooter. I have now trained with Neoteric Arms three times. I was introduced to Daniel and his crew through training I am doing through the Thomas Coyne Survival School. The two have teamed up for a course called Ruck Nav Shoot. I've always been a good range shot, but the training that I received at Neoteric Arms showed me that that doesn't mean a whole lot in an actual gunfight. Daniel is an amazingly thorough and detailed instructor. The Defensive/Survival Pistol course is perfect for everyone! From a person who has never shot before all the way up to competition shooters who want to add to their skill set. He begins the course with a detailed safety brief that left the whole group feeling confident that nothing would happen, as well as knowing that if something should happen everyone would be well taken care of. Daniel goes over the safe operation of your pistol platform, as well as how to behave and operate while handling firearms. Once it's time for the range to go hot, Daniel and his team make sure that everyone is operating at the same level, and they bring us up all to the same speed very quickly. Once everyone is up to speed on static range style shooting, we move right into dynamic multi-target shooting. Now that I have trained with Daniel and his team a number of times, I started setting up private classes for more advanced training, and Daniel is very accommodating. My most recent training included one friend who had trained with Neoteric once before, and two very novice shooters, one firing a brand new pistol for only the second time. By the end of our training day our entire group is able to work the Texas Star, and if anyone has ever tried to shoot at one of these things you understand what kind of feat that is to be able to take one down on your first day firing a new platform. 10/10 recommend read more

Just finished my second time training with Neoteric Arms. First was after a survival class with Coyne. Both time had newer shooters and Daniel really stressed safety and made it a fun time for all levels of shooters. I felt like I was challenged both times. The first time was more of a general handgun class, which helped as I hadn't trained in some time under a professional and had areas to work on. It really brought me back into training more regularly after seeing my weak spots. This last time was with three friends. One I had taken the first class with, and the other two were guys who I had with shot before, but hadn't have training under a professional. Daniel got everyone up to speed quickly, and after assessing the skill levels had us doing a variety of drills. Even with the ammo shortage issues, we were still able to do a full fun day of training with lots of learning. I've also purchased their Hercules w/side mag IWB holster. I prefer this holster over Alien Gear, Crossbreed, and the other holsters I've used over the past several years. I wore it on a 6 hr drive down to LA, and it didn't bother me at all. It's nice having the extra mag right there where I can use it as needed. We've already signed up for another round of training this year, and looking forward to working on my weak areas to see where else I can improve at the next class with the same guys. Great combat pistol training by a professional. We ran drills that helped us experience different scenarios and unexpected situations. We learned to aim and shoot under pressure while retaining commands. Daniel insured everyone had proper trigger finger discipline and everyone's safety in the field. During the training, clothes will sweat, get dusty, you'll get thirsty, forget to put a magazine in the pistol, learn to reload during a drill, unjam, move and shoot, different methods of reloading the magazine into the pistol, and how to field strip a pistol for cleaning. The instruction is clear and easy to understand. I highly recommend this training for new and experienced paper target shooters. It's a whole new ballgame. read more

He is engaging and able to keep the class' focus. Within a few hours, you'll learn how to safely handle, reload/unload, and unjam the firearm. You'll even learn how to move with the firearm and fire behind a wall or on your belly . You'll get dirty, you'll be thirsty, but you'll learn to protect yourself and those who rely on you. Daniel Valencia is an excellent instructor! I've always had a fear of guns but in this present environment it is helpful and comforting to know that I can safely handle a gun. The class was so interesting that when I took his class within minutes I was able to take handle my gun without fear. Safety is emphasized throughout the class and I am going to take more of his classes. Whenever I am handling my gun I can hear Daniel Valencia talking to me about proper hand placement and safety. The fee is reasonable considering the importance of using a gun in the right manner and the possible consequences if the gun is not being used properly! I just took Daniel's "Women's Only" class and I can't say enough about it. Being a good shooter at a paper target may make you feel good about what you are doing, but learning how to act and react when under pressure of fear and adrenaline is another story. Daniel teaches you what to look for, how to handle the situation and how to have a better chance at not becoming a victim. He teaches you the safety of handling a gun properly, what to look for and how to better be in control of both your gun and the situation you may be faced with. He takes his time in making sure you fully understand what he is teaching you. Safety is a huge factor in all he does. We don't know what we may be faced with in the future and knowing how to handle a situation safely, so our families and ourselves survive, is important information. A beretta 92x centurion holster, a 92x holster with trl1hl light holster, and my most recent one for a full size 1911... they are fast holsters(gun comes out fast and smooth) and high quality!
