I was referred here to treat my chronic back pain after learning surgery was not a viable option for my L5 protrusion. My first consult with Dr Narwani was fine as he explained the pain treatment procedure (3 epidurals across 6-8 weeks). After each injection, there's a follow-up appointment that's automatically scheduled a week out (which I always had to call the staff and change to fit my work schedule). The check-ins were always with his PA Dimple. She talked very fast and was always in a rush to get me on my way (answered questions with a quick yes/no without much explanation, wasn't too keen on understanding my concerns). The wait times here were hit and miss- several times I got in within 15mins and other times the wait between the lobby and patient room were close to an hour. After the full treatment plan, my back pain and sciatic pain are only slightly better than I started, not significant enough for the $$$ I paid. I would guess I got 10-20% relief, which is expected to last 3-6 months. Thus, it's difficult to give a strong rating either way for my experience as I don't know if there are better options or treatments for my injury or if this is as good as it gets. read more

Office experience was terrible beyond belief! BEWARE! They tripled my medication for post operative pain, when I made an appointment to go in and ask questions about my post operative care I was not allowed to to talk to the doctor because I was unable to pee in a bottle. I was quite ill because of dry heaving for 20-30 minutes a half hour earlier ( side affect of the chronic pain I have which they were fully aware). I was left going through withdrawals! No post operative care for the medication they dispensed all for the reason I too sick to pee in a bottle on demand! Never has pain doctor treated me so poorly. Critical Pain patient here. Massive pain in arms and hands and after epidural, neuropathy has gotten severe in my hands and have completely lost feelings in my fingers, and waiting to get in again. Obviously they are too busy for their patients to see them, other than waiting 2-2 1/2 weeks. By speaking with another specialist I was informed that the medication prescribed should have been higher mg. Office won't do anything until I'm seen again. Have had to take an extra pill to sleep without screaming all night, because the pills should have been in a higher dose. Wasn't acceptable by them so won't get me more until the 5th which is 6 days away and not enough pills left for today. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE OR DOCTORS! They have NO CUSTOMER CARE! Deserves 0 stars. Was referred by PCP. 1st and only appt...Narwani would not listen to all of my pain issues, only wanted to know the worst one. I was trying to explain and he said lets give you a pain shot then you can continue. Note: pain shot did NOTHING! He said he would prescribe a 7 day pain patch, LIE, he never did. He said he would not let me run out of Tramadol, LIE, he did. He said give him the history of pain medication and he will fill it with same quantity. LIE, he did a 4 day supply instead of 30 day supply. Said to come back for a 2nd appt and he would do what he said he would do on the 1st appt. NO THANKS. He doesn't care about me or you. I went to this office for 6 months. I was never helped with my pain. It seems they just want to give you shots or procedures, which is great if they work. They didn't work and I was prescribed muscle relaxers. I asked the Dr if he thought the muscle relaxer would help with my pain and he said no. Why give it to me if it wasn't going to help. The schedulers hold all the power in the office. If they choose not to pass a message to your provider, you're screwed. Stand up for your rights, and you're double screwed. Ended up coming off two VERY dangerous meds cold turkey because of the incompetence and the absolute lack of care. The girl I spoke to simply did not care if I died, even as I was trying not to cry as I told her (two weeks in advance) that to put someone through something so dangerous was unacceptable. This was the final straw for me. Between rushed injections, a PA who doesn't give a damn, schedulers holding the power, not having anyone to go to as recourse? Nah. Never again. Ive been in excruciating pain from left hip to left ankle and DR NARWANI HIMSELF ordered an MRI. i had MRI appt on Nov 10. Portal shows technical medical jargon. I called last Thursday, 2nd in line at 3:55 pm to find out my issue. At 4:10 or so, 1st in line, still on hold. At 4:17 pm, I get a recording that someone will get back to me within 24-48 hours. Here it is 5:07 pm on Monday. No call, no nuthin! Your whole office SUCKS! will print the MRI results and take somewhere to get an interpretation. Dr N has a " battalion" of people you cannot get thru to in him to ask a simple question. I had an appt with "Dimple", his asst, on Dec 9 but had shoulder replacement surgery on Dec 8, so i canceled it. Waited long enough, so no way! I am only giving one star because a star is required to post my post. This is the worst office I have ever had to deal with. The staff are rude, unprofessional, and they lie. Honestly, it baffles me as to why a medical staff would lie about a patient only to suit themselves. Then I realized if staff lie about the patient then staff has bypassed any ridicule as to their behavior. The office manager Christy, is just as belligerent and unprofessional. When I asked to speak with her concerning the manner in which my phone call was handled she told me that " I can go to another provider if I was not happy here". This was not what I expected to hear. But considering the way in which this office treats patients, I will be going to another pain management doctor. I do not need to be told twice. If considering this office for your pain issues and pain is a factor in your daily life, go elsewhere, this office will only cause stress, anxiety, and strife along with your pain! Today was my first time visiting Dr. Narwani, my adventure started with some very lengthy and detailed paperwork that Melissa emailed me so that I could do it in the comfort of my home. When trying to figure out how to do it on my phone Melissa was so much help. She even responded to my emails after hrs. As I arrive to my appointment I was greeted with a smile , the front desk girls were very nice and the waiting area was very clean. Dr. Narwani was so nice and made me feel very comfortable. They don't care about you as a patient at all. The office staff is horrible. I have been seeing them for a few years and they refuse to adjust my pain meds. I have to see the doctor to do that. But guess what he isn't on the schedule for you to even do that. I had an MRI done I can see the results in the portal I called and you can only talk to scheduling and she was so rude. She told me they don't have the result to call back in 2 weeks. I have a torn meniscus and asked if I could send the results. She said call back in 2 weeks. So I decided to change doctors. I can't trust them to manage my pain or treat me like a person. I had to call 5 days for them to send the discharge letter. They lied and said it would be done by 5 that day it wasn't sent. Called back the next day the lady who does it is out of the office. They show I only called once! That's because the people who take the messages pick and choose what messages they give. So the letter lady didn't even get any messages and got 1 on Friday. So you can't trust the schedulers. Absolutely the worst place to ever go. What an awful experience. read more

If I could zero stars I would!!! Came in for extreme pain to my lower back and sciatica nerves to where it hurts to walk, sit up, drive and even sit on the toilet. Dimple was so damn rude and insensitive!! She did absolutely nothing to help me and made excuses, talking herself into a circle. "Your insurance won't cover this but I won't write you a note to go back to work either..." What's the point of having this office and practice if you're not going to help anyone! She needs to loose her license and take sensitivity training classes and Narwani needs to stop treating pts like we're cattle and all about the $$$$$$. That's all they do! I started with Dr. Narwani almost 10 years ago. He is wonderful, compassionate, easy-going, and really listens to your concerns. All the providers there are wonderful! I now see Dimple the Nurse Practitioner and my husband just started seeing Dimple this past year and he loves her too! My mom also see's Dimple for her Fibromyalgia and is very happy with her care. I've been getting epidurals over the past few years. The staff is amazing and very pleasant. I would recommend this pain management office to anyone who is dealing with chronic pain. read more

i'm not surprised to see that they have only three stars. When I try to get through on their phone lines it takes me a minimum of 30 minutes when I go in for an appointment and they're running late nobody says a word and the girls at the front desk don't seem to care, I came in for my last appointment. There were four other people in the lobby. No one has seen anybody at the desk for 20 minutes. I sat there for an additional 25 minutes then walked in the back and yelled get some help. Nobody heard me the first time I had to yell a second time. This was after hearing girls I asked if she was out to lunch she said no isn't there somebody up there I canceled my appointment and asked to have somebody call me because I knew if I kept my appointment I'd be sitting there for another 10 minutes then taken back and sat for another 15 minutes before anybody came in to help me this is not good service read more

Dr Narwani is a wonder caring dr. his staff however, leaves a lot to be desired. They lie to cover their incompetence. This is not a Covid thing, this all started before Covid! First it took 3 months to get scheduled for RFA's on both sides. They told me it took that long to get approved. I called my insurance co and was told they were approved 2 days after being submitted. They told me my trigger point injections were still pending when they have not even submitted. I called about epidurals and they told me they we just approved when they were approved 6 days ago. As I mentioned earlier if you want a great Dr for pain management see Dr Narwani. Be prepared to make called to your insurance company because his staff lies. They don't do their job until you call them on it. They don't care about your pain. This office staff gives a whole new meeting to being proactive!! read more

I'd like to begin with how much writing this review pains me. I have seen Dr. Narawani for over half a decade and absolutely loved him. Unfortunately, like many companies that grow his patient care has changed significantly. According to his office staff Doctor no longer sees any patients unless they are new to his practice and he does some procedures. Returning patients are then subjected to the care, or lack there of the nurse practitioners Dimple and Diana. These two lack empathy and skill. When mistakes are made no one owns them and trying to receive any resemblance of assistance from the office or medical staff sends you down a path of frustration I'd not subject my enemy to. I have now left this practice and I am excited at the prospect of being treated like a person again rather than a number. If you are thinking of seeking treatment here I'd strongly suggest you reconsider. read more

The first time I came here for my initial appointment I was waiting for over 30 minutes after my scheduled time and I had to just reschedule the appointment or else I'd be late to work. I finally got my scans done and scheduled an appointment for the results of the scans and everything is done over the phone right now due to the corona virus so when the very rude nurse practitioner calls me and tells me they don't have the results but I'm still going to be charged for the "appointment" is very upsetting. The call was 5 minutes long and half of that was me sitting in silence while she looked for results she didn't have. Absolute bullshit. I will be finding another pain specialty clinic and will be warning everyone about this place. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

My initial appointment was with Dr. Narwani in January of 2020. I was so impressed with the amount of time and consideration he gave me while going over all my problems and previous procedures. Then on my second and all future appointments have been with one of his nurse practitioners unfortunately. Neither Diana or Dimple are very compassionate. Finally on May 6th I had a total knee replacement. I was given 15 pills or 5 days of pain medicine (opioid) for post op pain management. Needless to say it was not enough. I suffered tremendously for the first two weeks after my surgery. I made an appointment to discuss the fact that I was continuing to have severe pain, even unable to sleep or complete my physical therapy sessions. At this appointment I was told by Dimple that she had guidelines to follow and unfortunately my type of surgery is very painful and she offered me another 5 pills...not even 2 days worth of medication. At my 2 week follow up appointment with my surgeon, he was appalled at how my pain had been mismanaged. He explained that pain needed to be controlled in order to get sleep for healing and to be able to rehab. Needless to say, I fired Specialty Pain Management and my surgeon took over managing my knee pain. I slept for the first night completely since coming home from the hospital and the next day my physical therapy session went great. It's amazing what can happen when you're not in pain. I DONT RECOMMEND Specialty Pain Management especially if you have surgery on the horizon. read more

I would give them a zero but cannot. I was a new patient with this company and very first visit I found the front staff to be rude. Dr. Narwani seemed nice and a reputable Doctor. He scheduled me for 3 epidurals that I had before with another Dr. and a different facility. All seemed normal and I did not think anything would be different than my previous epidurals with different Dr. I was so WRONG!...first of all the person who schedules the epidurals did not prepare me for what to expect nor what I should do and not do prior to the procedure. I did remember from past procedures not to eat or drink 8 hrs before surgery so that is what I did. They did tell me I needed a person to pick me up but not that the person needed to stay with me and go in with me to register. I called my Daughter to come earlier from her work. My appt was scheduled at 3:45pm on Thurs 5/30. The place was packed with many people that looked unsavory and many were laughing it up as if this was not serious or they weren't in pain. It was not professional at all and I thought of just leaving. People were packed in the waiting room so I ended up waiting another 2 hrs to be seen. Ultimately I was the 65th and last person to go through the procedure that day and it was a horrible experience!! I will never go back to this Dr. ever again! I was not in a twilight sleep and felt everything he was doing. He didn't care that I was in a lot of pain and it felt like he deliberately drove that needle deeper and deeper. It was torture & I was crying. I asked why am I feeling this? Everyone in the room said because a needle is going into to your back as if I was crazy. On the way home, my left arm was numb down to my hand but by the time we got home, numbness went away. I am in a lot of pain since the procedure. Every night is hell! I go to bed in pain and wake up in even more pain. Most likely it will take awhile to recover. Do not trust this Dr!! read more

I don't even think they deserve 1 Star. Whatever you do DO NOT go there. His staff is rude and honestly comes across as if they could careless about you as a person and a patient. Majority of his staff are incapable of doing their job correctly. They say they will do something & it never gets done, for example prior authorizations. Half the time I spent on the phone myself with my insurance basically doing their job & calling the manager many times & her never resolving the issues in a prompt manner. Dr. Narwani was told numerous times about his staff and continued to do nothing. For instance, one time I was having a 6 hour pelvic surgery & my surgeon's office called him to advise that the quantity of pain medication that was prescribed would not be sufficient for the amount of work I was having done. Because Dr. Narwani was out of town even though he was notified two days prior, his office continued to ignore the issue after the surgeons office and I brought it to their attention many times. We even went to the lengths of writing a letter. My surgeon ended up having to prescribe the medication I needed once I was discharged from the hospital. I then had a follow up appointment with Dr. Narwani which was about a week post op and he proceeded to ask me why was there a prescription prescribed by my surgeon and I explained to him. He then proceeded to yell at me and threw my pill bottle at my face while my mom is in the room witnessing all of it. It was extremely un-called for and i was flabbergasted that he had the audacity to treat me that way. It's not like I deliberately went behind his back to get another prescription. My surgeon would not just prescribe something unless he was absolutely sure you needed it. After that incident I was fed up with everything and left his practice. I later found out after being under the care of another practice that his office was scamming money from his patients. Dr. Narwani would lie & say that for "insurance purposes" an epidural must be done 3 times before an RFA would be approved and that is ABSOLUTELY false. As long as you already had an RFA prior and you had success there is no reason to have to do epidurals prior. I also had horrible experiences at his surgery facilities. They would say that they cannot put you completely asleep for procedures and the only thing permitted was a twilight sedation. Everytime it literally felt like torture and I would cry in excruciating pain and they all continued to do absolutely nothing about it. Well I later found out that too is inaccurate. Since being under Dr. Narwani's care I've been under two different pain management doctors at two separate times since the first one left the practice to do international work. And everytime I've had procedures done they both have put me under using propofol. So I do not feel a thing and my recovery time is literally broken in half compared to how long it took me to recover after having them done by Dr. Narwani. They both have had nothing nice to say about Dr. Narwani and his practice. So that should tell you something. In addition to all this no matter if your having an office appointment or a procedure you better be prepared to be spending your entire day there waiting. Because apparently a patient's time is not important. You basically have to just suck it up and wait you're turn. In my opinion, he does the extreme overbooking just to make more money. Not to mention the quality of patients are definitely less to be desired and completely seem like majority are drug addicts and they are there to keep him in business. Sorry but to me that is not okay hence the whole opiate epidemic. Before even being considered to be under the past two pain management doctors care they both did an extensive evaluation and research to ensure you are there for a legitimate reason. I wholeheartedly believe that the staff is a reflection of the doctor. That showed me that if he couldn't find or pay half way decent employees it's going to be a complete waste of time.
