It is shocking to me that there are so many positive reviews of this doctor/office. First of all I got 0 reminder emails/phone calls/text messages about my appointment. It's not really a big deal but was surprising to me. When I got to the office all of the information I gave them over the phone was wrong. My address was wrong despite me spelling out my street name. I told them that I had a surgery in the past, a discectomy at the L4-L5 level. When I got to my appointment they had written down that I had a vasectomy. It was funny at first and I just assumed the girl heard me wrong on the phone. Then I started to get a little worried that an employee of a pain management facility, where they do spinal injections, thought that "vasectomy at the L4-L5 level," is a sentence that makes sense. Dr. Sraow is hands down the most unprofessional doctor I have ever seen. He spent the majority of the appointment staring at his computer, talking about his sports betting habit and Netflix. I was the one who had to keep refocusing the conversation on my spinal problems, which was the only reason I was there. I don't care about your parlay bro, I care about my health. I wouldn't trust this guy to clean my toilets let alone stick a needle in my spine. They were then supposed to call me to set up an appointment for an injection but after not hearing from them for 6 weeks I called and told them not to bother. They claimed they were still waiting on insurance approval but my insurance company said they never received anything. Pretty much what I expected they would say. read more

Dr. Sraow is very kind and helpful. I had an issue with staff and rescheduling and he called me personally to assist me.

Dr. Sraow is not only "THE BEST IN HIS FIELD" but he also has a matching personality and genuinely cares about the pain his clients are suffering. It's so nice to have a Dr. like him because we actually have a spine Dr. who can truly help us no matter how much trouble we manage to get into. I have a coccyx that is smashed to my spine and his shots are so accurate along with the medications he uses I was pain free for an entire year before needing another one. I've just had my 2nd one 2 weeks ago and I'm so happy the pain level is 0 and I can exercise again! I know he'll be able to keep me going for a long time. Approximately 2 years ago, my husband broke his back and Dr. Sraow did a fantastic procedure to fix that vertebrae and my husband has not had any residual issues whatsoever. He's still telling his story about his broken back and the procedure Dr. Sraow performed. We now live in Vail, AZ and if we have a problem, we make the drive up to Tempe. Went to Dr. Sraow for back pain and I must say that the entire experience from start to finish was a grand one . From the front desk to seeing Dr. Sraow you will be impressed . Friendly staff, fast appointments, and you see the Dr. Sraow every single time . Typical time you are taken back is 5 minutes. Everyone is knowledgeable and very kind and understanding. Dr. Sraow is patient and does not rush thru the process. He listens !! I have bulged discs, spinal stenosis, 2 spinal fusions-L5-S1, and epilepsy. I've had my 2nd round of epidural injections, plus follow up appointment. 2nd round of shots did the trick and I am able to get back to my old life. Sleeping better !! Getting back to my old self. I went to see Dr. Sraow when I developed a knee problem part-way through a coast to coast cycle ride. He diagnosed my Patellar Bursitis immediately and gave me treatment options as well as recommending adjustments to my bicycle set-up. I was back on my bike cycling pain-free and happily eastwards within days. Very friendly, patient and professional manner. I can 100% recommend Dr. Sraow for diagnosis and treatment of sporting injuries. read more

My hip pain had got so bad I could hardly walk on some days. They were able to work me in quickly. This was my first visit to any sort of pain doctor. The staff was friendly and tentative. Was seen for my back pain. Dr. Sraow explained my MRI to me and showed where the problems were coming from. He recommended injections and I was so nervous, but him and his staff made it really easy. The injections worked very well and my back pain is so much better. I highly recommend if you have back problems. read more

I have been seeing Dr Joseph Curletta and staff for almost two years now. I have been to four different pain specialists over the span of 11 years. One for three months another four a month. My first one stopped being a pain specialist. I saw a fifth one for a procedure before I was seeing one regularly. I go to the Mercy Gilbert office and of all the pain Clinics of the five offices I have been to this is the most efficient run I have ever been to. They don't populate my appointments to different offices and the front desk kind and never rude to me. I would give a 4.5 if I could because I have had a Physician Assistant that has given me a bit of trouble. Dr. Curletta has always gone above and beyond the call with kindness and professionalism and compassion. I have also dealt with the the office manager at Mesa location who is also kind and professional. I whole heartedly recommend this company and almost everyone in it. read more

Today I was treated by Dr Sraow for Iliotibial Band Syndrome caused from a running injury. Once again, my visit was an absolute pleasure. I always look forward to seeing Dr Sraow because not only is he very thorough in his examinations and procedures, but he is also very patient when communicating to me the details of my medical conditions and clearly answers any questions I have. I have great confidence in the treatment I receive at SSRI. I live in California but insist on coming to Arizona to see Dr Sraow because of the quality of care that I consistently receive. read more

After years of back pain, undergoing 2 surgeries many spinal injections and dealing with the VA, I became a patient of Dr Sraow. While I continue to have pain, Dr. Sraow was willing to actually listen to me and together we have worked towards controlling the pain. I realize that I will never be pain free, that period in my life is over but now I can effectively deal with the pain because of Dr. Sraow and his staff. I am not sure who was impersonating Dr. Sraow the day I took my mother to see him, but the person we saw was terrible. (That's sarcasm, it was absolutely Dr. Sraow.) I take my 86 year old Mom to a lot of doctors - a LOT - and this experience was the absolute worst. This guy walked into the office, did not say hello, did not introduce himself to either of us, never looked my mom in the eye, expressed no understanding or awareness of the fact that she is in pain, answered questions in the MOST obnoxious manner (Me: why would you want an MRI as opposed to an xray? Sraow: Do you know the difference between the two? Um yes I do, I have worked in the medical field my entire career, which you might have known had you even bothered to say hello and engage in human conversation for a minute.) Even when he was done taking notes on his computer (great manner, sit and stare at your computer the entire visit, maybe at least say to your patient, hey, I am not ignoring you, I am looking ta these awful xrays of yours, wow you must be in a lot of pain!) he stood to speak to my Mom, who is in a wheelchair, and stood to her far side so she had to strain to see up and almost behind her. He left to go get additional information and we left, we both agreed we would not trust him to treat a houseplant. This doctor was appalling. I get it, doctors are human, and they had to reschedule our appointment because he was sick, so maybe he was still under the weather and stressed because he had to fit more appointment sin but F- doctor, F- And for the record, I have never NEVER written an online review for a physician before (unfair to the awesome ones I know) but this experience merited one. read more

I've had 2 appointments with Dr. Sraow and my experience was very pleasant. The wait time for both appointments was short and he's very knowledgeable. He also went over treatment options for another issue that I wasn't being seen for which was very helpful! read more
