When…read moreI called to place my order, before money was transferred, I made it clear I need the product within two days and did not have room for error as I had to travel out of town with the shirts . He assured me that there was sufficient time for my product to be made would be available within my requested time frame. I received it a day after the expected date.I was very clear on my design preference and color scheme. When I received the product it was partially what I wanted and never received a call that a change to my design would be made . I texted Paul to let him know the product wasn't what we agreed on( as I received my delivery from his assistant, whom I also made aware it was not what I requested). I have yet to receive a reply. It's shame because I wanted to be able to do more projects but this gave me a bad view of the integrity of the business . I think if he had the courtesy to let me know he did the change before I received the product , it would have been better. Quality Customer care doesn't end once you receive payment. The work wasn't bad but it wasn't what I wanted and that made it disappointing experience .

I was doing a crossover of Princess Peach and hip hop, and wanted her crown airbrushed on a hat for a cosplay party. I wasn't able to go in store to place the order, so I filled out the form they have on their website. In about 2 hours, I received a phone call from a girl at the shop. We went over all the details together. I didn't have the hat I needed, but they carry lots of items in store (tshirts, hats, bags, etc.)- so I also requested a pink trucker hat. I also made sure to ask what shade of pink the hat was, to avoid any issues later. And I must also note its a good idea to be very clear and detailed about what you want. Not that theres any issues with Art Of Your Mind- it's just a good idea when dealing in custom, artistic work. I was told the hat would take a few days to do, so I set a pick up date and time. On the date of pick up, I arrived a few hours after my pick up time to the mall. I first went to their store on the second floor in Green Acres Mall. A girl there told me that my pick up order would be in their workshop downstairs. I headed downstairs to their second location in the mall, which is much bigger. The moment I walked in, I saw a girl showing off an item she just picked up. I must say- seeing that had me relieved. My order was ready, and I of course was asked if everything looked good- which it totally did! I was so happy with it- I literally had no words. It was some kind of magic to see something in my head, and then to have it physically in my hands. The artist who made my hat, Charlie, happened to be there when I picked up the hat. He was really sweet and wanted to make sure I was happy with the design. I totally was and my hat was the talk of the party!

There's places in Manhattan or purchasing online, but to my absolute delight, this gem of an establishment was only a couple of miles away from me, open, and ready to answer my questions. A lovely mother/daughter duo run this shop, which is well stocked with HTV of all sorts of colors, designs, glitters, etc, as well as regular vinyl and screenprinting supplies. Everything was reasonably priced, the customer service was top notch, and I am thrilled I found this spot so I can continue supporting local businesses while I grow my own business. I got so many compliments from friends and family, and I felt truly like myself. I came to Chrissie with a pretty clear vision of the overall look I wanted to achieve, but with many unresolved details. Chrissie started by creating detailed sketches that pulled together my wishlist into something beautiful and unified. She created a muslin "draft" of the outfit first, and in a session in her studio she built out the garment on my body while we talked through different decisions. She even made the pant legs in two different styles, so I could decide which direction to take! She also pulled fabric samples and found the perfect colors and lace patterns. She even met with me at a fabric store so that we could look at and buy the cloth together. The process of building the outfit in the satin/silk happened across a few sessions, and Chrissie made sure to get every detail just right. Throughout the process, Chrissie was a joy to work with. She made the process so fun and put me at ease. She was always attentive and listened to my questions and ideas, and helped shape my ideas into something beautiful and real.
