There were 3 sales clerks when I arrived and I wasn't sure exactly which one to deal with but we figured it out. I knew exactly what I wanted to see since I already researched it online. The clerk was pleasant and polite. She complimented me numerous times on my selections and how I was stacking my rings. She also made some small talk about the rest of my day. Each item was packed into individual clothed drawstring bags and presented in a paper bag with tissue paper. Nice store, nice staff, excellent product. Shoes are lined along the racks underneath, and as you get further back into the store, you'll find an array of trinkets and accessories like no other, as well as one changing area shielded by a curtain. The staff here is great! Every time I've stopped by, they've made it a point to answer all my questions and assist me without hesitation. The last time I was there, I met the owner, who is such a gem! She was so excited to hear about why I was shopping and to share The history of some of the items I was interested in. She is also a metal smith and helped me select a silver necklace that said AG (get it? Like silver on the table of elements?!) for my friend who had those initials and let me try on so many items before I selected a super cozy hot pink hoodie. You can definitely find some deals here, but I will say the majority of the items are a bit on the pricier side, given the nature of how they were selected by the owner during her travels. The only draw back is that the sizes can run small with certain items. The house wares, I adore! The bright colors really bring joy to my day. I loved the multi colored tiki glasses, the vintage pie pans, The Jon Burgerman plates are absolutely fantastic and there are some very tempting purse and shoes. And as I mentioned, it's a luck of the draw if it's your size. It's usually pretty calm when I come in. You do need to buzz the door. And the people working are always willing to assist in anyway. I went to a few chain stores in downtown BK but they didn't carry the brand I was looking for. The last store I went to actually recommended Outlandish. I'd walked by Outlandish many times over the years and it hadn't dawned on me that the store specifically marketed as the be-all for things hiking should have been my first pick. With no more time to waste, I headed over and was thrilled when they not only had the brand I was looking for but offered personable, excellent customer service. He seemed not only very knowledgeable on hiking gear but genuinely invested in each customer's experience and trip. After trying on three pairs, I decided on a pair and some hiking socks on recommendation and I'm so happy with my purchase. I wore them around the next day to ease into them before the trip and they are so comfy and even look nice. So happy to have come across and supported this business and highly recommend.
