These guys will for sure come out if you have a problem but plan on having them come out frequently!!!! We have had nothin but issues. It seems like our internet goes out multiple times a month. He went running when my son was about to jack him up. Okay another person arrive, from the company, not one of those contractors. He did a good job but left all his trash (boxes, etc) out back on the grass. He couldn't put it in the trash can? If my son wasn't into football and they have the Red Zone, I would have NO CABLE, since Direct TV was just as bad. Let me say, I don't typically post when I'm mad at a one off situation . Those reviews are not fair or balanced but wind up on display even after the problem addressed has been rectified. This is a review of an ongoing issue. I have a package that includes multiple tv cable boxes, wifi, and a landline which I do not use but is required for the bundle. My tv alerts me of the incoming calls in spite of the fact that there is no phone jack in the whole house. Cable wise, there has been no interruption worth noting. My internet has gone out but normally comes right back with a simple re-boot. My issue is with the on demand service. I use the on demand service primarily to watch my favorite tv shows . I have only had one issue with an on demand movie but the tv shows are constantly coming up as temporarily unavailable or one of two different error messages. I have tried going through the process of trouble shooting with phone support multiple times . Spectrum has offered to come change out the equipment but I live in the house with another person and between the two of us we have been unable to set aside the amount of time needed to be at the home for a new equipment install. Since all the other features still work fine , I'm not quite convinced that replacing the equipment is going to solve the problem. I have had coworkers say that they have similar issues with on demand t.v. shows not playing properly. read more

I just got Spectrum service last week and have had problems from the start. But the main problem is they make it IMPOSSIBLE to contact them for help. Every time you call you get the recording "...we're experiencing unusually high volume and the wait time is from 45 - 50 minutes..." or they offer a call back option which I've tried but they don't call back. Get on line and try to chat and your 30th in the queue. They SUCK big time, worst service possible. Very dissatisfied!!!!!!!!!! read more

No wait time and courteous reps that was great but definitely zero respect for my time and this little story will tell you why. I came in to pick up a digital adapter for my apartment. I go home and hook it up and it doesn't work I call technical support and they tell me does it get to 95% channel searching and gets stuck? I said yes that's the exact problem. They tell me it's a common issue that means the adaptor is defective. I go back to this store and they tell me they'll replace it for me. I ask the lady if the one she's going to give me is going to be defective as well she tells me well we don't know we just grab them from the shelf they are all the same. So I go back home and guess what.. it's the same friggin problem. Time warner may have changed their name but definitely have not changed anything about their crappy service. read more

I have the TV choice package (streaming channels), which fits me because we don't watch many channels. Problem is If you want to change access to a channel, they say you have to pick your channels in the first 30 days and they cannot do anything other than upgrade you to regular cable. We dropped our cable because the price always goes up. The channels can be changed on the internet streaming package, but they lie to me and say they cannot change a channel. The rep said the only way I can get the channel I want is to go from my $21.00 package to $108.00 and get cable box reinstalled with a charge for installation. By the way the last time I set a appointment up for a tech to check my internet speed, they never showed up! read more

This review is for the service I received from this particular local branch. Yes, TWC as a company is pretty awful. But at this branch, the customer service is great. I lost my one-year promotional rate on internet and wanted to downgrade my speed. Over the phone on their national hotline, they of course tried to sell me a bundle (with TV and phone, which I would never use) to "save" me money and talk me out of lowering my speed. However at this local branch, I told the associate that I would like to keep my promotional rate for another year if possible. He replied, "No problem, let me take care of that for you." No questions asked, no attempts to sell me additional products. I told him I would also like to downgrade my speed to their 50Mbps plan from 200Mbps. Again, "No problem, I'll take care of that." He even explained how I could save money in the long run if I bought my own cable modem and Wi-Fi router. Overall it was a very quick, easy experience. I didn't have to defend myself for wanting lower speeds and they didn't try to sell me additional bundles that I don't need. Great service at this branch! read more

While I originally never had any issues with Spectrum, that all changed when I transferred services. A technician was scheduled to come out on Saturday and he arrived on time. He stayed about 10 minutes and stated that I needed a line dropped to receive service then another tech would come out once that happened to connect service. I work from home via contracts and I transferred service to a location that was better working conditions. Line was dropped and another technician came out to connect service. He proceeded to tell me that the previous tech did not do his job properly because I had service in the outlet I needed to connect my service. I lost a very big contract for myself because of this previous technicians lack of integrity and lack worth ethic. I call Spectrum to tell them the situation, and they gave me a $10 credit on my account. Mind you I wasn't asking for the contract amount that I lost but seriously $10 will not put a dent in anything in my life. I am so frustrated at the lack of empathy these people had because not one of them lost money and is going to have problems providing for their child because of a contract loss. Completely frustrating moment in life. I will be changing service as soon possible and will be letting all my friends know of this issue and not to get Spectrum service. read more

Joseph who is a Supervisor in their account specialist group is the worst customer service person in history. I was quoted a monthly price which was written on my account in the notes and magically the very first month of my new rate it was higher - Imagine that. I called of course and Joseph who verified and agree with the quoted rate being in the notes basically said sorry man - sucks to you. They would not honor the price I was given and wasted about 2 hours of my time with no making good on what was promised. I will be leaving Spectrum (a customer of 16 years) never to return. WARNING TO ALL LOYAL TIME WARNER/SPECTRUM CUSTOMERS. My wifi went out two weeks ago. Today, using a friend's wifi, I contacted SPECTRUM and casually mentioned that my monthly rate for wifi was $50 more than their advertised rate. Raneer then informed me that when Time Warner was bought in May of 2015, prices were dropped. (In my case, from $112 to $84) and that IT IS THE CUSTOMERS RESPONSIBILITY to "migrate" their account to SPECTRUM. We did this immediately, but SPECTRUM, who had no problem overcharging me for 53 MONTHS, refused to adjust for the overcharges, saying that I had an agreement for $110 with Time Warner, an entity that does not legally exist. PLEASE, if you are a long-time customer, call today and ask to be MIGRATED. This hidden practice is unethical, and very likely illegal, but no one should have to spend 4 hours, with 6 people, to find out that they will not adjust for the overcharge. Hrrrumph! read more

I was told I could have more speed for the same price and despite saying no multiple times I made the mistake of eventually caving in among all the offers of it's the same price why wouldn't you want more speed. Turns out that was only a promotion which I was never told and the cheaper plan I was on doesn't exist anymore, they just wanted to get more money out of me. read more

I'm moving and called Spectrum to cancel service. One guy told me that he had cancelled it on the day I requested - Oct. 8th. Then he told me I could decrease my rate from $82/month to $51/month. He also told me he could back date it for the current month. NEITHER happened. I called back to figure out what was going on and, long wait, so I had Spectrum call me back. The first person couldn't help with the backdate and explained it multiple times as if I didn't get it the first time. Then transferred me to someone who could cancel my service since that wasn't done either. She transferred me to the wrong person, again, long wait, who then told me she would "warm" transfer me - and she didn't, another long wait. Then the last person (who was clearly ill sneezing, etc), I told up front that I wanted her to cancel service Sept. 30th and document that back to me. She SAID she cancelled it, but said the email will come on the 30th. Then she said "you have up to 12 days to return your hardware". Now i'm suspicious so I ASKED - if I return after Sept 30, will I get billed for another month. She meekly said yes. And since there's no pro-rating, it would have cost $51. Your company has NO ETHICS. I will never do business with you again and I will post this externally. read more

Costumer NON service was so bad, I thought I was on a bad TV parody....non English speaking, acted like they couldn't understand me. For three months, tried to get things right over the phone. Their biggest ploy is to put you on hold, 'til I guess they think you will hang up. I did several times after 30 or 40 minutes...If they do pick up, they are RUDE and will over and over repeat the old "we're so sorry you feel this way,", and NOT identify themselves, and send you different "departments", until you ARE just worn down. DO NOT....and I MEAN DO NOT, get involved with this bullshit company. All the negative reviews are justified, and they are just really the worst. I am going with ANY other company. I've been a Time Warner customer for years. Had its hiccups but customer service was always helpful. Called "Spectrum" today because my bill shot up after the end of my promotional period. Mind you- there's no heads up about how much your bill will change- just a message saying your promotion is up for the next billing cycle. When I went to pay this month's balance online, that's where I was alarmed to see how much my bill actually was. I called customer service. The agent I spoke with refused to offer me any options, and gave me some lines about "Spectrum believes in the quality and fairness of their prices. Time Warner may have worked with you on available promotions once the original had expired, but we aren't Time Warner." There was absolutely no compassion in this agent's tone. I'm tired of big business monopolozing what should be a utility rightfully accessible to all. I'm done with Spectrum. Don't fall into their trap. read more

Spectrum bought out TWC a while back. We had TWC, now we have Spectrum :( We've been experiencing some modem issues the past couple of days so we decided to call tech support. This is how it went. Tech support says "you don't have wifi added on your account" I say "okay but we have wifi and the issue is the modem I don't understand" lady- "Some internet providers don't charge extra for wifi, TWC probably didn't but we do and you don't have wifi on your account" me - "but we've had wifi for years like I don't understand what this means" Lady-"yeah but you don't pay for wifi so if it's wifi related I can't help you" me- "okay but our internet has never gone out before and the last couple of days we've had issues" Lady "it looks like your service did go out for a minute earlier today, if it's an ongoing issue we can come out or something but it's working now. Do you want to add wifi to your account?" me " nope we'll call back if it continues" ..................................................I just feel confused and not helped at all. We've been in this house with this internet for YEARS and never had modem problems. Now we are and all tech support does is try to add wifi to our account? Gah! read more

Have steadily been doubling my rates. Every year like clockwork they double the price. It used to be that I could call and tell them I'd like to switch providers and that would be enough to get them to give me the deal they give new customers. Now they say, the doubled price is the best we can do and we're confident in our prices :/ I went from $45/month promotion to a $75 monthly promotion within a few years and that's STILL THE PROMOTIONAL PRICE. I'm sure that will be set to double to around $160/month by summer. And I'm not kidding, one month I paid $160 because I didn't realize my 2 year commitment was up and paid it thinking last month's bill didn't go through. Way to honor longtime customers. I would pay double for Google Fiber just to never hear Time Warner/Spectrum make sorry excuses and treat customers like dirt. I'm currently paying for 200mbps and only get 15-50mbps (it's 90mbps according to Spectrum but literally every other speed test says between 15-50. Wonder if that's a coincidence!). The 200mbps is the smallest plan they offer. They said they couldn't give me the 60mbps plan because I'm not a new customer. As if that has even the slightest baring on whether I can pay for a lower speed when I'm not even getting the 60mbps anyway! read more

I have posted about Time Warner Intelligent Home Security (that I paid for each month and bought all equipment to monitor my apartment), and now it has been brought to me that it is believed that this Company was using (because of where I live, H.A.C.A.) to view inside my apartment. I had a suspicion of something, due to I was having so many problems with this security system, and had moved the camera out of my bedroom into the living room with the other camera, and that is when my alarm was just going off. They explained to me that I set off the motion detector, but yet that was all in my living room and I was in my bedroom when the alarm went off. And, then sitting in the lobby of my apartment building, two Officers from the Austin Police Department came in the building and asked the Assistant Manager for the key to the number of my apartment, not paying any attention, this lady just gave them the key without asking anything, and then my cell phone went off (after the Officers entered my apartment) by text letting me know my front door had been open and then letting me know the alarm went off. But, not one text of an alarm was text to me before then. And, they (the Officers) after me going to my apartment, stated "they were dispatched to go to my apartment", and I set the alarm (it even counted down) and let me know it had counted down and armed away (by text to my cell phone). I am truly just disgusted with this company after I trusted them with my life, property, and things with their security system. Now, I am wondering about my internet services (that I will be having disconnected, and going to another company), due to the problems I even have had and have with my internet browsing. I will be finding out if they did and where looking in on me. I have things to post about other matters and will be doing so, as soon as they and all become available to me. read more
