Lady at the counter was nice, however, I do not recommend this place at all. I had a rain coat that needed some care and I thought to go to what seems like a highly rated dry cleaner in Falls Church City. Unfortunately, I came back a couple days later to pick up my jacket and it was just as if I gave it to them. It's still dirty and I'm not even sure what they did to it, but it looks no different. The work with alterations is prompt and quality is decent. Costs $20 to hem one pants leg and $60 for suit jacket sleeves. Also costs $78 to tighten up the waist. Open early and closes late so convenient. One bigly important thing is if you get alterations for new articles of clothing, ensure your spare buttons are not attached to your garment because you won't be getting them back. Gone. The problem is that I asked for stains to be taken away it of a shirt, and instead of telling me the cleaning didn't work, they just charged me without saying anything. Another of my white dress shorts actually got a smudge stain on the shoulder, which was not there prior to the cleaning. It's disappointing that the quality is this subpar. read more

F is for Falls Church Introduction on City of Falls Church: I thought of a business in the Little City of Falls Church, and believe me, this city is little! At 2.11 square miles, it is the smallest municipality in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Thank you Wikipedia! I wanted to make sure the F is for Falls Church was actually in the City of Falls Church and not a Falls Church mailing address such as Bailey's Crossroads & Seven Corners (south of US 50) in Fairfax County. Interesting note, of the 12 reviews that I had written before today with a Falls Church mailing address, only 1 of them was actually in the City of Falls Church. Spectrum Cleaners Experience: I had moved to Arlington (near Bailey's Crossroads) in October 2014 (from Alexandria). I had a dry cleaner I liked pretty well that I was using in the Old Town area, but that was out of the way. I looked on Yelp to figure out a good solid dry cleaner. The ones I saw that were very close to me had mixed reviews at best. I extended my search out a little best, and saw that Spectrum Cleaners had a lot of great reviews. Were they in the most convenient location for me? No, but I wanted to give them a try since the Yelp reviews were outstanding. I went here, and the middle-aged women was very friendly. I could tell that there was genuine warmth and that I wasn't just a # to her. They did a great job with my clothes and were efficient with getting my clothes cleaned in a timely manner. I kept going back here as I kept getting friendly, prompt service. Traffic & Testament to How Good They Are: Unfortunately, getting here involved going through the infamous Seven Corners since I lived in South Arlington. Depending on traffic, I would sometimes come off 50 & other times be on VA-7. But if I was going from Spectrum to home (especially if it was like around 5 or 6 PM on a weekday, it could be a nightmare getting through Seven Corners to go back home.) Whether you were planning on turning left on US 50 or continuing straight on VA-7 Leesburg Pike, the intersection is a s***show. You gotta be in the correct lane, and if you aren't, then you may be going a way you weren't planning on going. Also, once you're in City of Falls Church on Broad Street, the speed limit is only 25 mph. And I don't want to take a chance in the little city. All of that said, I still was willing to deal with the Seven Corners mess and slow speed limit to go to a superior dry cleaner. Price: The price was reasonable. It wasn't the cheapest out there, but you go too cheap on dry cleaning, you get what you pay for. It was cheaper than the place in Old Town although I had a discount since I knew the manager there, but I got tired of the staff there saying it was only 25% off when he had told me 50%. Even 25% off there would've still been a little more expensive than Spectrum Cleaners. Spectrum Cleaners was closer and while not the most convenient location for me was still easier than going all the way down to Old Town. Parking: Parking is a bit of a pain in this shopping center. Even my friend said that when I had suggested going to that Panera one time to meet for lunch. I parked in the garage, but had to walk around a while with my clothes to get to the Spectrum Cleaners. The friendly woman told me the first time; just pull to the side and turn your flashers on. So, that's what I did every time unless I was lucky enough to get one of just a couple of parallel spots. Buttons: Buttons are not a typical category, but remember this is a dry cleaners. There were a couple of times that a button broke or was missing. This is inevitable from many visits. They replaced with no questions asked. Conclusion: I moved from Arlington in August-September 2017; so I now have a dry cleaner walking distance from my apartment in Wheaton. read more

HOW SWAY? I've got a few nice suits, but a terrible tendency to wear out the elbows in my jackets. I recently took a jacket with a bad tear on the elbow from wear, to three different supposedly "the best" in Northern VA. One said it wasn't repairable, the other said she could fix it but it wouldn't look nice and the other said I should just buy a new suit....I was basically at a place where I was willing to see if anyone could fix it, and if it looked bad I'd just deal or donate the suit. I took it to Spectrum and the woman said they had two options. One was a $30 patch and the other was an $80 more extensive repair. I went with the cheaper option and she said come back in a week. While I was there I got a pair of jeans mended too. I picked up the jacket today...Y'all.... All I could say was "WOW", to which she smiled and said, "have a nice day" The damage was IMPERCEPTIBLE. the repair was flawless. I wish I'd have taken a before and after pic so you could see the skill. I've had an elbow repaired on another jacket for the same price and while it was passable you could still see the stitching, I'll be coming here for all my repairs. Apart from that she coulda hustled me into the more expensive option or shuffled me out like the others...but she didn't. She gave me the option and told me the cheaper one would still look nice...boy does it. In my book that's how you win and keep business. read more

You know it's good when I had to convince myself not to be selfish and post a review of this place. I almost decided to not write a review because of how fantastic this place really is. (Wanted all the benefits to myself) However because this business is so well run, I want it to succeed the most so here I am sharing my perspective even if it includes a longer waiting time for my service. I called ahead and spoke with someone over the phone. I inquired about price on both an alteration and dry cleaning on two pants I have. I then asked about wait times, and out of all the businesses close by I reach out to... this one was the one willing to take me in short notice and return my clothing the quickest. I received all the information I needed. I drove over and from what I can say the only con to the entire experience was trying to find parking and having to cross some busy roads (inevitable due to location) When I arrive the place was not difficult to find and I was greeted with a smile and felt welcome. The woman that greeted me was Yeon, very sweet individual. She made sure that I was taken care of, marked in-front of me where she was going to alter my pants after she measured the inseam with me. (Brooks Brothers in Tysons decided to pick a size they wanted for me) I told her the urgency in when I needed the clothing done by and she held her promise. Very, very pleased with my service here. How could you not be? Fair pricing, attentive, kind, good quality work, listened to customers needs... I LOVE this place. I've brought my husbands suit here for dry cleaning and they are SUPERB. Yeon is very helpful and pleasant to interact with. I've also brought my down jacket here from lululemon because of a stain from wax. They were able to get it out and it looked just like new when I came to pick it up. Since they were able to get the stain out of my jacket and I so happened to have a stain from some sort of grease on my lululemon backpack, I decided to bring it in and give it a shot to see if they could help me. AND THEY DID. The prices are super reasonable and I feel like even if they charge a little more, it's the quality of the final product that you love. My winter coats all came out looking and smelling amazing. Its a little frustrating that hoods on jackets are considered an additional cost, but given that I only dry clean my coats once per season AND they turned out so nicely, I'd say it was well worth it. 4 coats, including 1 down coat, 1 down hood and regular hood cost me about $100. Ruined all my clothes and will not return. Sweaters: (1) Shrank my sweater in sleeve length and overall length. (2) Had a black cashmere sweater with crystals beading and a few were missing upon pickup. Owner tried to repair but didn't completely. Dress: (1) Had a black lace embellishments on a floral dress throughout, and some of the lace was torn/ripped off on several spots. (2) A creme silk evening dress that I normally wear to weddings that had a visible film (from the chemicals?) on it that made it look dull and less creme white. The owner tried to be accommodating by fixing/ repairing the damaged clothes and recleaning items that still looked dirty, but overall my clothes are ruined and I will not take my clothes here again. read more

Go here if you're a man, STAY AWAY if you're a woman. They ruin blouses and can't tailor dresses/jeans. Also, #genderpricing hardcore. I have been going here for two years. They are good at cleaning my husband's dress shirts but that's it. For women, GO ELSEWHERE. Three problems for women: 1. They are not gentle with women's blouses. They ruined 2 Ann Taylor silk shirts as the chemicals they used stretched out the elastic waist and messed up both shirts shape entirely. 2. I brought Paige premium denim jeans here only to be complete ruined- wayyyy too tight, I couldn't even pull them on all of the way. They are awful at tailoring. 3. Because I apparently still didn't learn my lesson, my Lilly Pulitzer dress was also tailored so tightly that it wouldn't zip all of the way. (Perhaps marking your tailor measurements with some safety pins while rushing isn't the best method.) I will be finding another tailor ASAP- sick of having my nice clothes ruined. read more

I work in Tysons Corner and I def make the drive out here because its worth it. I'm very picky with my cleaners and have had mishaps at other places. (Seriously, buttons discolored, etc) The front lady is super nice and remembered me even though I haven't been there in months! Prior to my hiatus (was stacking all my dry cleaning in a bag and finally dropped it off) I had ripped the back of my dress and they ended up fixing it for free and only charging me for the dry cleaning. Love this place. Only bad thing is that Parking is a bit of a pain. It's always packed but you can usually find parking around the corner on a side street.
