    Said Yes To The Dress

Shopping for my wedding dress was so fun and such an amazing experience. Olivia was so patient and kind with the process of me picking out my dress and what styles I like and don't. She made me feel so beautiful and confident as well as all the other ladies that saw me there in a dress. They made the process so much fun and stress free. Made me feel like a true beautiful bride. I would highly recommend checking them out if you are looking for your dream wedding dress. I had a vision and Olivia made it come to life.

Zoyas Atelier absolutely saved the day by helping me find my dream wedding dress. Cannot say enough good things! I was in the "getting married during the coronavirus" boat... and was in a panic trying to find a dress I felt pretty in for my small, intimate wedding. I had seen in the news that Zoya was doing virtual fittings. I called them and explained what I was looking for and the short time table I had to find it... Spoke with Adele who immediately made me feel at ease (even though my wedding was right around the corner). She scheduled a virtual fitting right away and helped me safely find and try on my dream dress (even during a pandemic)! I am so extremely grateful. Truly cannot day enough good things. I can only imagine the magic they can do when we aren't in a global pandemic

Amazing experience - put yourself in Miss Zoya's hands and she will not steer you wrong. Though we didn't end up purchasing a gown for my mom there, the experience was really warm and encouraging. More importantly, Miss Zoya was able to steer my mom towards a style that she never thought would work for her but ended up being so flattering and appropriate. The wonderful thing about the atelier is that it carries a surprisingly varied amount of styles AND sizes, not just size 2's and zeros in what is currently in style. She curates a great selection of gowns in different cuts, from classic to more architectural. But definitely ask her about her Zoya designed gowns - there was this gorgeous confection of a dress that I just couldn't stop touching and admirng (ballgown, strapless, white and florals, with this gorgeous fall of fabric from the back. Ugh, I loved it.) In any event, if you are shopping for a gown or wedding dress, check Zoya's Atelier out. You won't regret it.

I wish I could give them more stars. Zoya's was the best wedding partnership and experience out of every single element of my wedding planning process. I could write a love story about them, but to make this review as helpful as possible for any bride, I am going to bullet it out below: 1. Environment: you feel at home the second you walk into Zoya's. Partly because of the building itself and the aesthetic they create, but more so for their friendly staff. Their people are everything. Overall, they provide a very high end experience with a casual and comfortable feel. 2. The service: it was so refreshing to work with a salon with strong systems and processes. It was actually one of the last studios I visited and I wish it was the first so I could understand what a well run salon should look and feel life. They are THE BAR. Everything was incredibly organized and personalized, versus some other salons that felt like a factory churning out dresses and brides. They keep an intimate setting and are appointment only so you don't need to fight for attention during your consultation. 3. Their gowns: they carried the most beautiful designers. I walked into a lot of salons that fit my price range but NOT the quality I was looking for, this was the first that did both. They also carried a very wide range of styles. There is something for everyone here! 4. One stop shop: they do everything! They obviously have a wide selection of bridal gowns, but in addition to that, they had beautiful evening wear, accessories of every kind, and do all their alterations in house with a phenomenal team. Not only did they take care of me, but my mother also got her gown from here as well. It was such a fun experience for us to do it all together! 5. The alterations: one of the things I was most anxious about were the alterations. I have heard horror stories of prices and poor quality. Zoya and her team are ridiculously talented! This is a place you can trust to do what you ask and also not over charge you for every change you need to make. Once my dress came in, they did an assessment of the potential changes and set the price up front! It was so nice to not have a bill every time we came in and for them to honor the price set up front. Also, they even do made to measure here!! 6. The people: they are highly educated, professional, caring, talented, supportive and kind. Zoya is incredible, I don't even know how else to describe her aside from calling her a magician!! She is extremely qualified and has a ton of experience with alterations, she has a perfect eye and made all kinds of recommendations for my alterations and changes to my dress that I didn't even imagine, she made my gown fit like a glove. You can't underestimate the value of her eye!! She was so patient with me and really helped me navigate the changes. It truly was a custom experience at a very reasonable price considering the amount of changes and attention she gave to my gown. I couldn't believe it. Zoya made my gown and my mother's gown PERFECT. Then there is Amy. Amy was the first person I interacted with at Zoya's and she made me feel like her best friend right off the bat! She was a great listener, helped me sort through all the thoughts and ideas in my head to find the perfect pieces for ME, she did not push me she just guided me which was very refreshing. She was extremely knowledgeable about the designers and the options for changes. She was a phenomenal communicator and was always very transparent on pricing, alterations, turnaround time, etc. such a small thing, but I'm telling you, it is not like that everywhere. Not going to lie, at times she was even my therapist. I cannot imagine going through this stressful process of wedding planning, even things outside of the dress, without Amy. She was a rock for me and constant calm every step of the way. Completely above and beyond and far exceeded my expectations. To wrap this up, GO TO ZOYAS YOU WILL NOT FIND ANYONE BETTER!!! Xo

My gorgeous veil and dress. Thank you Zoya and Amy!

I just returned from my magical wedding and Zoya's Atelier played a huge role in making it so special. I bought my wedding dress at a bridal shop in DC and I didn't have the "wow" moment. I didn't lose the pounds I had hoped and I was dreading the dress experience, so I bought the dress that got the most positive reaction from my friends. When the dress arrived, I was less than enthused and decided I would see if someone else saw what I saw. I passed Zoya's Atelier while driving home from work one day. I did my homework and after reading her glowing reviews, I emailed for an appointment. Amy who is Zoya's daughter-in-law emailed me back immediately and scheduled me for an appointment. The following week I walked into Zoya's Atelier with my dress and Amy greeted me by name with a big smile. Zoya helped me into my dress and immediately saw what I saw-- I was uncomfortable and insecure. Zoya said the dress needed some work, but it was gorgeous and she could get it there. I left my first appointment optimistic and feeling a sense of relief. By my next appointment Zoya had ordered the correct size bra and showed me some things I didn't realize we're wrong with my dress and began pinning. As she worked her magic and got the dress pinned, I began to see my dream dress and I had my moment! I drove home that evening crying happy tears. My third appointment was magical. Zoya had made all the alterations and I felt like Cinderella. I walked out of the dressing room confidently and with a huge smile. At that moment I knew Zoya was brought into my life for a reason. I told Amy that I believed Zoya was my fairy godmother. My whole perspective on the wedding had changed and I was now excited! Two weeks before the wedding, I had two veils from the bridal shop and they were both a disaster. The bridal shop really didn't know which veil would compliment my dress and my figure. There wasn't any time to order a new veil and I was stressed, but Zoya told me not to worry. She took both veils and made me a custom cathedral veil, which blew me away!!! I saw the final product the day I was flying out to my wedding and I was overwhelmed with tears of joy. Zoya had done it! I was a gorgeous bride! All of my guests commented on my gorgeous dress and especially the veil and I love to brag that it is a custom Zoya design. Zoya not only changed my life, she changed my husband's as well. He had bought his wedding suit at a chain suit store and even after the alterations he wasn't completely sold. He brought the suit to Zoya and she agreed there were a few necessary tweaks. The week of our wedding my husband went back to try on the suit and he texted me that he felt like a million bucks. When I saw him in the suit for the first time on our wedding day, I just melted looking at my handsome and confident husband. I could never thank Zoya and Amy enough for working their magic for my husband and I. I will be a customer of Zoya's Atelier for life and I feel so fortunate to have come across them. My only regret is that I didn't start with Zoya and Amy in my search for my dream dress. I would have saved myself a lot of grief. Zoya and Amy love what they do and are 100% honest. By working with Zoya and Amy, I have learned there is more to how you dress than just looking your best, it is about making you FEEL your best and being empowered. Zoya and Amy, thank you for being a part of our lives. I can't wait to work with you in the future!

Hi Ladies, I am writing this post with so much joy and excitement! This is one of my best kept secrets in the Northern Virginia area. I had a gala to attend, and a week before the event, I did not have a dress! So I am desperately looking on line and found a dress by Jovanni on line but was scared to purchase without knowing the fit. So of all the stores in DC area Zoya's Atelier was the only store with the dress. I made an appointment and they went out of their way to open the store for me on a Sunday to cater to my needs. Zoya and her daughter in law Amy are so accommodating, sweet and pay exceptional attention to detail. All my friends know that I am a perfectionist, so this is a big deal. I am about 124 lbs 5 ft 6 inches with a size A ish cup. Don't judge, the French loves my flat chest lol! But in America, you gotta fake it till you make it. LMAO. So I was vulnerable and told Zoya my concerns and she said in her cute accent, Oh that's not a problem, we'll create boobs for you lol! All I have to say, is Zoya is like a Fairy God Mother. Zoya picked out the jewellery, the shoes, the hairstyle and even the undergarment to get you ready. I am telling you this is not a game. You go in the store spin around for a little and bam you walk out on the red carpet looking like: "are we supposed to know who she is?" At the gala, people were coming up to me, thanking me for being in attendance and how much it meant to them. Over 300 hits on Facebook. Boyfriend staring in disbelief. An ABC news reporter was amazed at the dress and was happy to take a photo with me. I gotta tell you it felt great. Every woman should experience a night like that at least once in their lifetime.

It was about 7 weeks out from the wedding, and I couldn't wait any longer. I found Fashion Center Alterations after another place I called was booked out up until the day of the wedding itself. Luckily for me it was walking distance, but in the hot summer sun, it felt a little more than walking distance I walked in and I felt like I was in an old ballet studio in the room where all the hemming takes place and costumes are stored. Mae was very kind, and estimated the dress would be done the date I needed. It was a pleasant surprise that she got it done even earlier!! Mae is a cute Filipina Lola (grandma) that has no filter... she says things as it is - this is definitely a cultural thing. I was sweaty when I tried on this dress walking back to pick it up, and she lightly said as she was zippering me, "you are holding onto water today" which could've meant sweat or bloat haha. She then modeled me like a fashionista and told me how to pose (see attached images), which made me smile. Though I wish it the dress was also steamed for the price I paid, I was in a desperate time and she fulfilled my dress hemming needs as bridesmaid.
