Zero follow up including the office manager who said this should not have happened and would call me back that day. Never did. I am kicking myself for using these people. Some friends have had their LASIK done at the other location but I trusted them here as well. My bf and I drove down from SF for my free consultation where they checked my vision, if they were healthy, dilated my eyes. My pupils were huge, sensitive to the sun but man were things really saturated with color. Staff was very friendly & informative. I qualified for the SMILE LASIK - All-Laser, Blade-free, All-Femtosecond Laser, Painless & fast recovery & same results as LASIK. Soon after I was like alright I'm doing this & put down a $100 non refundable deposit. Scheduled an appointment in March where the procedure was $6950, -$200 for paying in cash & I had two referrals which I'm assuming is the max because I had 3 so brought it down to $5750. My parents brought me down on a Saturday where they did another vision test to make sure nothing had changed. I had not watch videos of the procedure & afterwards I'm so glad I didn't but once I knew what they did with one eye, I did start to feel a lil anxious but thank goodness they had given me a full Valium prior. My parents also got to watch & before I knew it I was done! I couldn't see comfortably & anytime I opened my eyes it would water & it was hard to do anyways so I just slept pretty much all day. They provide you with post operative prescription eyedrops to use 4x a day. After a couple of hours I started to be able to open them comfortably & I could see so much w/o my glasses! I had a follow up appointment that Monday where my bf took me & my eyes were looking good! Finally got to do my skincare & wash my hair. I needed to keep my eyelids cleaner because it was causing cloudiness with my vision. Eyes did get dry for a bit so using Preservative-Free, Artificial Tears helped. Would 100% recommend this place & for anyone that qualifies to do LASIK! Thank you to Dr. Joseph Ling & the team here!

I wore glasses since I was in 3rd grade and contacts from my teens to my early 20's. I hated the way glasses looked on me so I decided to take the plunge and invest in LASIK. I was 21 when I got it done and now that I'm 30, my eyesight has only shifted a bit (right eye is definitely not 20/15, but it's still good). It's still an improvement when my prescription at the time was -8! I may opt for the complimentary fix in the future, but so far, everything is going great! Before surgery, my prescription was around -10.00, and even with contacts I struggled to read text on my phone at night. I often needed both contacts and reading glasses just to have a chance. Less than a week after surgery, I'm seeing around 20/25 and can comfortably read even fine print. The procedure itself was completely painless, and the recovery has been far easier than I expected. As amazing as the results are, the real reason I'm writing this review is because of Dr. Parikh. Two days before my scheduled surgery, he noticed something abnormal during my pre-op exam. Instead of proceeding, he refused to do the surgery until I had my eye evaluated by a retinal specialist. Obviously, I was disappointed because I had been looking forward to finally getting the procedure, but he put my safety first without hesitation. I asked if there was any way to get in quickly, and he immediately started texting people in his network from his phone. By the next morning, one of his colleagues, Dr. Silva, was able to see me. It turned out I had a torn retina that needed to be repaired before ICL surgery. After the retina was treated, Dr. Parikh and Dr. Silva stayed in communication directly with each other over the following weeks. I didn't have to coordinate anything--they handled it all. Once Dr. Silva confirmed my retina had healed, Dr. Parikh rescheduled my procedure. To me, that's what separates a great doctor from a good one. Dr. Parikh wasn't focused on getting me into surgery as quickly as possible--he was focused on doing what was best for me. He even made himself personally available by text throughout the process, which gave me a tremendous amount of confidence. The entire staff at Furlong Vision was outstanding from start to finish--friendly, professional, and incredibly organized--but Dr. Parikh's level of care genuinely went above and beyond. I couldn't recommend Furlong Vision more highly. If you're considering vision correction, you'll be in excellent hands.

I cannot speak on whether these comments reflect any management awareness, but as a patient, it made the environment extremely uncomfortable to hear what I understood and perceived as carelessly ignorant. Living in California for a long time, these were not words I expected to hear and very inappropriate for the workplace let alone a "professional" clinic. The rest of my experience here has been great; amazing doctors and aides who have persistently helped me through my slough of issues, which makes this all the more unfortunate. I will not be returning and would strongly encourage a refresher of basic empathy, inclusiveness, and client-sided professionalism.
