Spectrum is the ABSOLUTE worst company I've EVER dealt with!! 1) They are the most expensive internet company. They don't START that way, but they increased my bill $10.00/month for the box, among other reasons for increases. 2) Their service cuts out when it rains, the wind blows, the sun is shining, maintenance and so on. It went out so often it was ridiculous. I asked for price reductions for when the system went out, but they had special rules for that, as well!! You had to call when it was out and give them specific times that I was unable to use the internet. I can't imagine what that would do for my customers if I had Spectrum business to depend on their service!! As a matter of fact, I once called my doctors office when it was raining and their internet was down. I had to ask if they were with Spectrum and they said that they were. They said, "it's ALWAYS going out!" 3) When I went to the Spectrum store to cancel my service after over more than 5 years of service, they asked why I wanted to leave. I told them because of the price and the reliability!! After 5 years of service, my cost was OVER $300.00 a MONTH. At that time they offered to lower my monthly cost to just over $200.00!! I said, "if you could've lowered my monthly prices this much, why wasn't it offered this in the 5 years I was with them!? They just said that the offer was just for right now. They actually lied right to my face!! They start with a reduced price, but it slowly goes up...EACH month!! If you're a business I would DEFINITELY find another option. My local electric company offers a $50.00/a month price. I've had it for 2 years now, and it has NEVER gone out! Not once! And the price hasn't increased a dime. Not once!! I keep seeing their commercials about how dependable they are, but I know not 1 single person that has/had their service that was pleased with the price OR the service!! I would give in minus stars if I could. 10 months of interrupted internet, 10 months of dropped signals and many tech visits. Still have slow internet 1/2 of what I pay for, and still have dropped service which causes me to reboot app. So I went to their site and selected a modem from their list only to be told that I'm not in an area that will support any modem other than theirs. I'm out mega buck for upgrade to my routers, reprograming a high end remote and buying a modem that I now have to pay postage to send back (if they take it back). Bottom line, where i live in Granbury, the internet and tv service is marginal. The wifi constantly is going out for "maintenance " and you pay for Spectrum news which is a biased, left wing news outlet. Half of the channels are spanish speaking and they go up on fees nearly every month. ATT is more expensive but reliable and you dont have to hope that the internet goes out while working at home. read more

Spectrum charges more but has less work done by connecting lines with neighbors(PIGGYBACKING), which cause lagging, slowness & outages. And they have a monopoly in granbury. I can't get good service from AT&T for gaming or streaming. I'll be starting a petition after I visit the court house. Give people their own line! Predatory business practices. Has charged me for a router that was never provided. When found out years after having the services they said that they couldn't refund it because it had been on for so long, I should have disputed the "Wi-Fi charge" when I first saw it on my bill. Never saw "Wi-Fi charge" on my bill and I wouldn't have known Wi-Fi charge meant I was renting a router. Offered me $10 refund for the years of paying for a router I never had. Service also cuts out once-twice a month for several hours. Other than that faster and cheaper than any other place in the area just bad business practices. read more

I would not give spectrum mobile even 1 star. I have spent a week trying to transfer mobile phones from one spectrum acct to another spectrum acct with "0" success. I've talked to several people, been transferred several times. They've tried selling me an iPad in order to transfer service. then they made me activate a 4th phone and pay for service on it to transfer and yet still no transfer. Now they say I have to pay 2 of the phones off to transfer spectrum phones to another spectrum acct. absolutely the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. As a result I'm taking those 3 lines relsewhere and the 2 new lines I wanted to put on spectrum will be going other places as well. Plus my family will be changing there lines as well. I signed up with Spectrum Mobile on Fridat, Paid the activation fees, one month service, etc. my phones were already unlocked by my previous carrier, ATT. spent over an hour in the Spectrum office completing all the paperwork. was told to return on Monday to complete my order with SIM cards. Went to same Spectrum office on Monday afternoon. was told SIM cards had not been shipped. Was told might be Wednesday before they arrive. very poor service.
