There were frequent outages, sometimes for a day or longer. I terminated service 5 days into the billing cycle and was charged for the full month! When I called to inquire why was charged for the full month I was told that it's just their policy. So sketchy service and greedy billing with zero interest in customer satisfaction. Hey Spectrum--You're no longer the only choice in town; there are other internet provider options out there. Can you really afford to treat customers this way? I called on 10/18 to cancel Spectrum TV Silver and they chose not to cancel it until I called again on 10/28 so they could bill me another month. Not right no matter how you look at it. While true it is the fastest internet in the area it is simply not right that you are able to add as much on to the service as you want but can't cancel service? Internet is intermittent in my area at best and has been reported numerous times. TV seems to be working ok but the price increases definitely do not match the level of service received. Spectrum expects me to pay 69.99 for a bill I haven't used a day of because I went to turn in my equipment the day after my bill was issued and I moved out of my apartment. The store, customer service line, and the supervisors all refused to cancel this expense and told me they changed their policy due to 'customer complaints', but what customer would complain about getting their money back through prorated fees? It's just the company's way of stealing from us and making it seemed like we, the customers, chose this. read more

Time Warner Cable's Road Runner Internet Service is highly unreliable, service speeds are unpredictable and bandwidth is routinely spread too thin, particularly in apartment buildings (as admitted by their own technicians). To add insult to injury, their Customer Service staff are probably the rudest and most condescending of any business, ever. Worst of all the seem to have a iron monopoly in my area. I have trouble with them every time I try to pay my bill. They for some reason have two accounts for me. I work 16 hour shifts right now. And, it is hard just to call once to pay the bill a month because I have to go through a process to access the right account. Well, Internet was disconnected because when I called to see if my bill was paid it said the payment was processing but somehow I was in the wrong account. I asked them to fix this issue by the way; and they said I did not need to worry about it. Big reason, why I want to switch to a better provider but nobody else is better than these guys. So, I get on Customer Support. And the agent was unbelievably annoying he would ask me questions that were irrelevant and ask me to do the same things over and over again. I hung up on him and called back thinking I would get a better agent. Same Guy... After an hour we got the internet back on. Other issues I have are My Router name gets deleted a lot looses signal every once in awhile and I have to call in for that all the time. not worth my $60.00. read more

Service on the north side of Terre Haute is so horrible! We have called numerous times and several techs have came to the house to "fix" the problem. It may get better for a day or two after the tech comes but it goes right back to being horrible again. We pay $80 a month just for internet and still constantly buffer and get kicked off wifi on a daily basis. No other choice of internet providers in our area so we are stuck. read more

This is THE WORST tv service anywhere. A total waste of money and time. The dvr is trash, does not work without cutting your recordings in and out. The worst part of this horrible company is that they wont even sell you their highest speed of web service without buying their lousy tv service. They have a monopoly on high speed net service in my area, so they can get away with this terrible sales tactic that should be against the law. Their phone service is through their modem via the web and is a nightmare. Avoid this company, unless you need high speed net service because they are the only company that offers it in this area. DO NOT get their tv service even if you need more bandwith, just not wort it! One star is too good for this LOUSY company. read more

spectrum does suck since being in terre haute almost 2 years I have had nothing problems with the cable had 1 service guy threaten me and tell me if he keeps coming out to my home he will charge me $50.00 then he said or else I called and file a complaint they did nothing to him yet I pay almost $130.00 a month unbelievable read more

This is the worst Internet service I have ever experienced, and the customer service is terrible too. Service is spotty at best, consistently inconsistent, and often completely out. To make matters worse, I can't even get anyone on the phone at TWC to report outages. I had to have the Better Business Bureau mail a complaint letter because I couldn't access it online. It should be criminal to charge full rates when service is out more than it is on; bills should be prorated based on time used. Or better yet, why don't they just use some of that money to improve infrastructure? read more

When it was Time Warner Cable I new it would work. The price was less than Spectrum. My cable TV had problem s. Missing channel, and poor reception, but it was perfect compare to there internet and phone. I got a bundle package that was always requires a service tech to keep going. The self install is a joke. There customer service are rude and lack basic customer service skills. When you go to there store Ii have heard it refered as a prison. Time Warner Cable was good these Spectrum people are the worst. They are after every cent they can make and they have no ethics when it comes to selling their crappy deals. They use a metrics to charge people. In the same building for the same service the price for each were hundred dollars apart. They must bill to what they can get. I have lived all over this great country, and Spectrum in Terre Haute has the WORST service and support of any provider I have EVER encountered. The thing that makes it infuriating is that they are the only game in town....I guess that's why they really don't care. I would cancel service in a minute if I could find another provider on the east side. Something is rotten in the city of Terre Haute....Spectrum.
