As much as I hate that we have a car culture, even in a city as walkable as Ann Arbor, it's an inescapable fact. And when I was recently meeting up with a friend who had a little one in tow, being able to park close to the entrance was a huge boost. But it wouldn't matter much if the coffee wasn't good. They pull shots on their La Marzocco from Mighty Good's Espresso 46. Gotta say, it's not my favorite, but it transforms nicely into a Mexican Chocolate Mocha. The flavored espresso and tea menu is extensive, but they do make some of their own syrups, which I appreciate. That said, I think the most under appreciated and most exciting thing that Venue Coffee offers are their wines by the bottle. These can be consumed on site without a corkage fee! Yes, the coffee shop closes at 6pm, but it's open Monday through Saturday. I want to get brunchy some Saturday with a bottle of pet-nat, which they keep in the cooler. Just need to find some likeminded folks who are down for some day drinking. #Goals Or maybe, one afternoon, I bring my laptop and tackle some writing projects with a bottle of wine by my side. The atmopshere was cozy and inviting. There seemed to be a majority of University of Michigan students here. There's plenty of seating, whether it be couches to smaller tables to (what I remember) one larger table for bigger groups. I'd say the seats at the tables maybe weren't the most comfy though, I do wish they had seat pillows. The drinks did take a while to come out, but it wasn't an issue for me since I was just working. Side note: they even provide feminine hygiene products in the restroom. They also have a printer available. There's a huge parking lot available. Overall, I think this is a great spot to study and work from home, and you should definitely check it out!
