On my second visit, I went for my go-to cafe order: a medium iced matcha with oat milk and local honey. I was so impressed by the barista's technique! They crafted it perfectly so that the honey was completely incorporated and didn't just freeze and stick to the ice. Beyond the incredible tea menu, they have a beautiful retail section stocked with a wide variety of quality teas, books, and stationery gift merchandise The service is just as lovely as the drinks. You try to get someone's attention and they purposely avoid eye contact like you're not even there. Every other Starbucks I go to greets you, asks who you're picking up for, and the drinks are bagged and ready within a minute. But at this location it's like nobody cares. Even when I'm ordering for myself, it's still an issue. I've had them give my drink to the wrong person, leaving me standing there forever until I finally ask. Then they have to remake it. I've also gotten the wrong drink entirely multiple times. This isn't a one-off bad day -- it's every time, no matter what time of day. Good customer service matters. It doesn't matter how good the food or drinks are or how clean an establishment is if customers are made to feel uncomfortable or disrespected by an employee. I rarely feel strongly enough about an interaction to write something like this, but her behavior was completely inappropriate. Based on my experience today, this particular employee should not be working directly with the public unless there is a major improvement in how she treats customers.
