so i been too alot of speedways.first time at the gurnee illinois location.i bought 4 fountain drinks and paid over 8 dollars.i bought two double gulps and two big gulps.we were in a hurry i should of tried them. we bought coca cola.except when we got home the coca cola did not taste right it upset our stomach and had a very bad taste.what a waste of money.please check your coca cola fountain drink machine and replace it. before people get sick.i bought coca cola alot this time this it wasnt coca cola, so we dumped them out.from steve read more

Speedway finally reopened again! (Just in time for the tons crazy people that goes to 6 flags during the summer) Better gas pumps/ machines, more spacious, the way they rebuilt and placement of gas pumps are better as well, more room for cars and their "cafe" is a lot better, cleaner, more varieties! Speedway usually has one of the cheapest price / gallon for gas in the area. The staff inside is friendly, but good luck trying to understand anything they say over the PA system though. The coffee inside isn't that great. I prefer Thorntons. It can be tough getting in and out of here. They have 3 entrences / exits, one is right turn only. The other two you have to go out on side streets that do not connect to lights so during rush hour is can take some time getting out. read more

When I went to speedway today and there was one lady that worked there and she didn't have her mask on and I told her can you put mask on and she said no because there's glass and she knocked on the glass and that is between us and it doesn't matter that there is glass between us and she should have her mask on period. You can't teach stupid and that lady should know how to put her mask on and they say that all employee's there wear masks and I saw one that didn't and that was before 7 P.M. today and after 6 P.M. today and that lady should be fucking considerate of other people and it's the law to have your mask on. People who want to go there don't go there and go get gas somewhere else and there are more places to get gas then there. read more

Tried the ham and cheese panini and it was very good! You order at the kiosk and customize your veggies, cheese, and sauce options. The kitchen staff then cooks your order while you proceed to the register to pay. Your receipt is stamped and then you take receipt to the kitchen counter and collect your food. My panini was fresh and the perfect combination of hot on the outside and cool on the inside...fresh ingredients and extremely tasty. I know it sounds crazy but I intend to take the wife out to lunch or dinner at Speedway. There is ample seating and plenty of drink options as well. read more

Speedway is where it's at. If you have a speedway card you can rack the points up. The gas prices and food/drink options are great. They always have bonus points and sales going on for things which makes it nice. read more

I was at speedway with fiancée buying gas. I went to wash the windows of her van when the employee came out to tell me I was soliciting and said I can't be soliciting . I tried to tell him I was here buying gas .he the employee refused to listen when he called the police he told them I refused to leave . I'm writing the review of this gas station not because they have cheap gas or anything like that. This Speedway has the best French Vanilla Cappuccino to come out of a machine that I've ever tasted in my life!!! I know it's only powder and water but GOOD GOD, I love that stuff! I used to drink it all the time when I worked at Hewitt, then when I left and came to my current employer and they didn't have it I was CRUSHED! So close to my house, and often the least expensive in the area, this is a fine station, if you can get in and out. It's very crowded, which makes for waiting sometimes and you have to cross traffic south of Grand on Dilley's to get in, so even more of a challenge. That being said, I always use my Speedy Rewards card to get discounts on stuff in the store and even free stuff. Who doesn't want a free hotdog after spending $3000 on gas after two years? read more

Located right next to the interstate this gas station usually has some of the lowest prices around! The convenient local, clean facilities and good selection of gas stop goodies makes the Gurnee top list of gas stations for me! Sometimes if you drive a bit further west the prices drop anywhere from .05 to .10 but you have to question if that is worth the drive unless you are headed that way! read more

Let's face it, we all cringe getting gas these days, especially in IL anywhere near Chicago because the gas prices are higher than Cheech and Chong. If I can, I get gas in WI but this Speedway has some of the lowest prices for unleaded and it has had them consistently for a few months. read more

Now this review is for Speedway as a company in general. I LOVE speedway. If more people knew exactly how it could benefit you to go there over other stations I think they would. The trick is the speedy rewards card you get for free. You HAVE to get gas to live. And most people also buy things from gas stations while they are there. Everybody does it. So I figure why not go to the place that gives you an incentive to go there. I get points for all my purchases there. Everytime I get gas I get points. And if you buy a gift card for 50 bucks, they give you 1000 bonus points. So I will buy a card, then buy gas with it. I have to do it anyways. But then the points get me free things. Also you get coupons and special offers, that are small... like a free pop, but better than getting nothing. WHich is what you get from going to all other gas stations. Trust me on this one. From someone who really tries to take advantage of this system, it really does give you some cool stuff along the way. Just try it. Over time you start to get some nice little perks. I now I sound like a spokesperson for Speedway, but the company I work for pays for my gas so I get to fill up with their money, so I benefit from getting gas by going to speedway. The diesel pumps do not have the small nozzle which most diesels have so we cannot get gas there anymore.
