This is an extremely convenient gas station right by the SDF airport. We always stop by here to fill up the tank before returning the rental car. Their credit card readers actually work and seem to be used to out of state credit cards. I have had terrible experiences all throughout Kentucky with credit cards randomly being rejected. This gas station works. It is not pretty, but it is convenient. I take a star away because it has those obnoxious video screens that you can't make be quiet.

Fantastic dinner option for our group of 7 prior to attending an event scheduled across the street…read moreat the Brown Theater. This was our first time visit and it'll definitely be on my short list when we are attending future nearby events. (The Louisville Palace Theater is also nearby.) We had a 5 PM reservation and were provided attentive, efficient service and a leisurely pleasant experience. We were even able to depart by 6:15 PM with time to spare. The food and drink options were great and there were multiple options to appeal to the varied tastes (vegan, meat-and-potato, gourmet) in our dining group. I chose a burrito bowl, fajita style (peppers and onions), with grilled chicken. The portion arrived in a quite large bowl and was too much to eat in one sitting. Delicious flavors, fresh ingredients, arrived hot. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals and unanimously agreed we would return. Recommended! Easy accessibility. Outdoor patio dining available and indoor table or pub style counter seating options. We parked in the Brown Hotel garage across the street, but there are other garage options and a few metered street parking spaces which I believe are free after 6 PM. A few of my friends also volunteered that the restrooms were very clean and had unique floors. The interior spaces of the restaurant were lovely. There are large floor to ceiling windows that enable views of the outdoor waterfall wall feature in the courtyard. Very serene spaces for a leisurely meal.

We went on a Friday evening and it wasn't very busy. As soon as we walked in, the staff noticed us right away and asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside. Since it was a nice day, we chose to sit outside, which made for a great vibe. Our drinks came out in about five minutes. I ordered the bourbon margarita and it was really good. I definitely enjoyed that. After that, we ordered our food. We got the shredded chicken quesadilla, shrimp tacos, and queso for appetizers. The queso was okay, it tasted like a standard cheese dip and could have used a little more spice or something to make it stand out. The quesadilla, on the other hand, was very good. It was well cooked and seasoned nicely, but I did notice that it didn't come with rice unless you order it separately. The shrimp tacos were also good and I had no complaints there. The staff checked on us a couple of times throughout the visit and were very friendly, which I appreciated. The restaurant itself also looked clean and well kept. Overall, I'd give La Terraza 4 out of 5 stars. It's a solid spot with good food and service, but it didn't feel like your traditional Mexican restaurant and the menu is a bit on the smaller side. Still worth checking out.
