A line formed behind me. After several minutes she told me to step to the next register as she was on that. The one in front of me was not closed off with a sign but I stepped over. I was purchasing a chef's salad. I asked for 2 french dressing packets. She told me there would be a .70 cent charge after the first one. She was not polite but matter of fact to the point. I told her in all my years this was the first time I heard this and was she new? She said no, she has been there over 3 years on night shift and if other staff was giving me 2 packets they were ripping off the store. I have never seen this girl before. She was just rude to me. So I will take my business next door from now on. Her name is Bri.

I asked her if she could just manually cut me off a piece (of course, not). It obviously wasn't a priority so I had to pass on the meat. (Thank goodness for pb&j's) I was the only customer in the store, by the way. I noticed after I left, and was in my car, she just continued to sip her drink and still not put the slicer together. I felt like this store was truly taking safety precautions seriously. The aisles were appropriately marked in one way directions, the staff all had masks on, and I saw employees regularly sanitizing high-touch areas. At check-out they also had plexiglass between you and the cashier. They had an ample amount of registers open, even though it was a not busy time, and I was able to get in and out quickly. Thank you, Giant Eagle, for taking safety seriously during covid-19!

The is is truly a one stop for anything you could need. If you look close enough in the back, you'll even find some designer hair care products that I might usually drive to Ulta to purchase. Nothing crazy to reinvent the wheel here. Just an all encompassing drugstore in Vermilion that will carry everything you need and probably a little bit more. It's a huge store that's well-organized and the staff is always happy to help.
