PLEASE check your receipts. I have been tracking this stores deceptive, unlawful, and mostly undiscovered pricing practices. This store purposely leaves expired tags on the shelves, the companies system often has higher prices loaded OR does not discount as advertised. When you complain, they say shop elsewhere or downright ask you to leave. Please be cognizant as a LOT of people are getting ripped off, unknowingly. Please consider sharing your findings with the BBB, Ohio Weights & Measures, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Ohio Attorney General. Kroger, as a near monopoly, has a duty and obligation to provide honest and fair pricing practices. They are knowingly and willingly doing the opposite of this. The burden of having to audit receipts, to this degree, should NOT be required on there consumers part. This issue is well known and has even been brought to light by investigative reporting from Consumer Reports in conjunction with The Fern. read more

For months now the same issues have been frustrating all customers , I've had so many conversations with others waiting in line for 20 plus minutes for even the self checkouts, and it's all times of the day. There's never any open, why even have them? At least open them so it can speed up the process. One of the two entrances is always closed at different times randomly due to "cart retriever issues" which makes zero sense when the side open never has any and customers have to walk back out for a cart. The people working need help, they are always understaffed, if it's a lack of help issue run some ads and hire people. It's sad that this once was a great store has tragically gone downhill. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere. read more

This is like a Super Kroger with clothes & housewares etc. Ran into store just to get emergency swim suits for my girls to jump in hotel hot tub. They found nice inexpensive suites in no time. I roll in behind them after parking & they're walking up to self checkout when I spot an awesome shirt sleeve button down right on an end cap by registers. I rarely see clothes I love but I couldn't leave w/o this one!Plus it was only $16. Suits were 11 each. Then the nice checkout helper let us used Reward card since we're out-of-towners. Saved us more money. Nice store appearance & very clean. Wish these stores were around our town. read more

If you are in Sandusky for the day or the weekend this is the place to go. This newly-renovated Kroger is unlike any I have seen before, and has incorporated elements from Target and Fresh Thyme to make that I really like. Fresh food offerings--excellent. There is a sushi bar and a fresh sandwich/pizza area, along with the usual deli, that provide excellent options for a quick meal, eat in or take away. The seating area is large and clean. The bakery is also strong, and I had a Panera-like cinnamon crunch bagel that was very tasty. If one of your party gets sick or hurt, there is a clinic in the store that seemed very inviting. It would definitely save a ton of hassle to go there rather than trying to find a doctor! With the fresh food, grocery, and bulk food options, easy to stock up on things, and they also have a large clothing section. Strangely, it did not feature much touristy beach wear and the like and seemed to cater to locals more than visitors. But, if you left something at home and need a shirt, etc, this would be a great place to obtain one while not slowing down the family expedition. I had a ridiculous experience at Sandusky Kroger. I walked into the store and saw the buy five save five on Chex mix and decided to purchase two bags and I found three other items in the store to finish the five items. As I am checking out I notice that the $5 did not come off. I talked to the employee on self checkout who first told me I needed to download the coupon. I look on Kroger.com and saw there was no coupon to add. Another employee was called over and she went over and checked the deal by the front doors. She came back and said I needed to purchase five of the same item. I told her that wasn't true because it says mix and match. She then went to talk to the manager (who never bothered to come over) and she came back and said there was nothing she could do to help me. I would have to go over to customer service to work it out. This was after already wasting 10minutes on a Sunday because the employees did not understand how Kroger deals work. I said just forget it. I also told her I would not be coming back after all the wasted time and lack of concern for customer satisfaction on the employee side and I paid for my items and left. She said okay and did not seem to care that I was frustrated. Guess I will just stick with Meijer from now on since Kroger doesn't care about their customers. read more

This is the nicest Kroger store I've ever been to. We were staying in town for a baseball tournament at the new Cedar Point Sports Force Park and stopped here for a few items. What a surprise! Huge sushi bar, Starbucks, deli, clothing area...and a bar! Yes, they have a dozen beers on tap and a bunch of very reasonably priced wines by the glass. We need our Detroit-area Kroger stores to follow this location's lead. If you're in Sandusky, this is the place to go for groceries and beer/wine. read more

I waited in for me deli items for almost 20 minutes. I was the only customer. the worker was a young man and very slow, kept stopping to talk to other employees. was very rude in his greeting, like he really didn't give a crap. after waiting for my items , I had to do self check out. with about 350.00 worth of groceries! thank goodness the young girl at self check out was very helpful. after ordering all my deli boars head meats and cheeses... which I can only eat that brand due to severe migraines and this brand seems to be the only one that doesn't trigger them . when I got home I noticed the young man gave me private select and Kroger brand cheese after I specifically told him boars head, I'm sure it was easier for him to just choose what HE wanted. absolutely unreal! and totally unacceptable!!!! read more

You may be a fine new big store but if you treat everyone the way you treated my sister I won't shed a tear if you go under. My sister is 86 years old has a hard time getting around and when she bought groceries, the clerk only bagged a couple bags of things and all the rest of the stuff she put in her cart loose, didn't bother to bag anything. When she got to her car and realized what the clerk had done, she didn't have the strength to go back in and complain. Then when she gets home she has to individually carry all this stuff up the porch steps into the house. She lives alone, so she had no help there. Was so glad to come across this grocery store. Staying at Cedar Point it was nice to get some fruit, milk, bread and simple items to have in the room rather than shelling out a few $$$ at the park. Very clean! Awesome selection! The only reason I am giving this a 4 stars is it's too much like a high end Walmart! I miss the small town feel of the old Kroger. I went to go get a few items and it took me forever to locate them! Employees were willing to help me find things but you almost need a map! Was kinda weird seeing ppl drinking alcohol as it has a small bar as well (to each their own). Has a yard and lawn area as well as a clothing selection. Just wanted a smaller store for groceries. They do have a curb side pick up where you can order and pay for your items on line and just come and pick them up ..... probably do that next time! read more

I do about 80 percent of my shopping here. A good selection of fresh produce at decent prices. You might be able to shop around cheaper but what you save you'd be wasting in gas and money. Depending on the week, they run hot deals throughout the store and there's a good organics section to browse through too. The staff here is pretty young and I've heard some interesting conversations at check-out but I gotta say that they're all energetic and extremely helpful. read more

Visited Cedar Point, came here to buy water, beer, and a Styrofoam cooler. They are open from 6am to 1am. They have a huge selection of craft beer (Great Lakes, Laguntis) The next day I came back at lunch time. They have a salad bar, pizza station, sandwiches, and a produce wall. This is definitely the place to come when visiting Cedar Point. read more

This place is super nice, the brand new facility. Exterior and interior are great, and a ton of features inside- from flowers to clothing to food, premade and groceries. Going on one of the first few days, the place was PACKED. My only real complaints are that the fuel station was not relocated, and instead of having a healthier food section, they have little spots throughout the store with it. It was so nice before to do 90% of my shopping in one spot, and now one gets to go down 15 aisles. The masses will like it, no reason not go give 4 stars. read more

I love kroger and sadly there are none by where I live. I literally will drive out to this store because they have items I can't get anywhere else. This kroger is not like any other grocery store!! They have a Starbucks, wine/beer bar, sushi counter, deli with subs, and a drug store. This place simply has everything. They sell home goods, clothing, food, beauty products, outdoor furniture, and grocery. Their bakery section is fully stocked for a sweet tooth with a wide assortment. The meat and seafood counters always look neat and fresh. This store is huge and you can easily spent hours wondering. The store is spotlessly clean with friendly employees. The prices are very good and they offer great sales. If you haven't been to kroger you are missing out on an amazing grocery store. read more

Well on our first trip, and this is just because of Ohio in general, on Sundays they stop selling liquor at 7 which is nonsense. And then have those sneaky half percentage liquor out on the shelves. We didn't get buzzed at all. And all the half dozen eggs have only 5. Now, everything else was quite lovely and the employees were so nice and helpful. I was so excited when this New store came to be. The old Kroger was a dirty mess and I was always disappointed when I went in there. Sadly, after 2 years the new store is back to the dirty un-stocked quality as the old store. The items in the shelves are rarely pulled to the front and the floors always have dirty spots on them. I admit that I normally shop after 7 PM and that is probably when the staff is at it's lowest but!!! I live in Florida and there we have PUBLIX and they are great. The were voted the best grocery store in the country in a recent survey along with Wegmans. I feel so sorry for the people that have to shop at Kroger because their stores suck! They didn't even make the top ten. Kroger, get off your Lazy Butts and clean up your stores. Hire someone form Publix and get your crap together! read more

I traveled 30 miles on December 11, 2017 from Lorain to purchase the Kroger brand Lavender Earl Grey loose leaf tea (it deserves 5 stars!). I enjoyed exploring the store; and then around 2:30pm I saw the Fresh Sushi Bar! With help from the Sushi Chef, I chose the #3 Shrimp & Crab Mixed Combo. Excellent and beautifully displayed!!! I got my tea with extra's for gifts (great sale on Private Collection teas); and the bonus was the sushi! Thank you! read more
