And when I pulled in this morning, sure enough, a gas attendant runs over and pumps my gas. He was a little green at the routine, stumbling over protocols - I might have been his first customer. But he wiped my windshield, spending significant energy scraping off some well smooshed bug. And let me tell you, there's nothing quite as surreal as being half asleep (waiting for the coffee to kick in) and watching some dude go to town on your windshield wiping off bugs. It got me thinking, "hey, maybe there is something to this Full Service thing." But back to my original question, "Is Binghamton a Full Service type of town." Personally, I don't think so. I think people here are a tad suspicious of new services. Besides, there's a certain manly pride that comes from pumping the fuel. But my wife thinks it could be a hit - she hates pumping gas and would go out of her way to have someone pump it for her. So who knows what will happen. In anycase, Full Service gas has hit Binghamton. It hasn't seemed to raise prices, although this Exxon tends to be on the higher edge of gas prices. But it's darn convenient.

Lot was a bit tricky to navigate, I especially got a little confused when I wanted to head out, I actually went the wrong way. Inside, spectacular. This place was as close to sparkly as you could get it. Not sure how they do it, but they surely had everything under control. I never thought I'd be posting a review of a sandwich shop/gas station - I hate sandwiches...how…read moreboring. Until recently. This gas station is located on the corner of Smith Hill Rd. and Front St. I was in a rush one day and needed something filling, so I stopped in here for one of the sandwiches they advertise at their pumps. Having worked in a pizza/sub shop in South Jersey, I'm very hard to please when it comes to a good sandwich (or slice of pizza for that matter). Honestly, I couldn't have been more pleased with the visual, size, and taste! The sub was 3.5 to 4 inches tall!! I could barely fit it in my mouth (no comments on that, please). And, the gentleman that prepared it took the time to make sure the condiments cover the whole roll, not just one side. This was the best sub I've had in the state of NY. If you decide to give it a go, remember that good things come to those who wait, and, patience is a virtue, and all those other cliches. Since it is such a masterpiece, it takes a while to make. Don't get irritated, it's 100% worth the wait!
