I never thought I'd be posting a review of a sandwich shop/gas station - I hate sandwiches...how…read moreboring. Until recently. This gas station is located on the corner of Smith Hill Rd. and Front St. I was in a rush one day and needed something filling, so I stopped in here for one of the sandwiches they advertise at their pumps. Having worked in a pizza/sub shop in South Jersey, I'm very hard to please when it comes to a good sandwich (or slice of pizza for that matter). Honestly, I couldn't have been more pleased with the visual, size, and taste! The sub was 3.5 to 4 inches tall!! I could barely fit it in my mouth (no comments on that, please). And, the gentleman that prepared it took the time to make sure the condiments cover the whole roll, not just one side. This was the best sub I've had in the state of NY. If you decide to give it a go, remember that good things come to those who wait, and, patience is a virtue, and all those other cliches. Since it is such a masterpiece, it takes a while to make. Don't get irritated, it's 100% worth the wait!

So due to my job I drive overnights and I am frequently at random gas stations during these hours…read more Typically when you show up there's one person maybe two working and they're not doing very much, the area by the pumps is trashed, garbage hasn't been taken out, the windshield washer fluid reservoirs are never full which is one of my main complaints. This station however, had washer fluid, and the one girl working, at 2:45 in the morning, instead of sitting around doing nothing or taking a nap or whatever, was outside sweeping near the front of the store and as I pull the way I caught her washing windows. This review isn't so much for the actual location but as you can tell more about the employee that's working there right now. Kind of hoping her manager sees this as she should get some recognition for actually working during working hours.

Pulled up and since this is a shared space I decided to park kind of in between the two spaces. Lot was a bit tricky to navigate, I especially got a little confused when I wanted to head out, I actually went the wrong way. Inside, spectacular. This place was as close to sparkly as you could get it. Not sure how they do it, but they surely had everything under control. My family and I…read moremake an annual trip up to Rochester, NY every year and always take note of rest stops that are safe, clean, have good offerings and friendly staff. With a little one in tow, we had to make a quick potty break and this was the closest stop. The bathrooms, while very cold inside (January/winter) they were very clean on our visit. No visible garbage or water from the sink on the floor - maybe we hit it right after it got cleaned, but we were happy. F&B options standard, cool drink cases along the back, a small Tim Horton's and Subway all under one roof a plus. The Tim Horton's is very limited, and on our visit only 2 timbit options. Still, enough for anyone and the service was super friendly and all smiles. The other snacks we picked up from the Mirabito itself all in good shape, nothing we picked up was expired and the drinks were nice and chilled. The young gentleman that rang us up was very friendly, super nice to all of us in fact and wished us safe travels. We def. took note of the exit number for this one!
