We arrived in the later afternoon on a Saturday…read more The store is bright and appears to be well kept. We were immediately greeted upon entry, and pleasantly surprised to find a fair amount of choices left! As we looked over our choices, the employee offered a sample of their donut holes as a first time visitor! The donut holes were nice. Fluffy and nice, not overly sweet. We ordered a glazed persian, glazed crueller and a cotton candy. My daughter didnt care for the cotton candy topping, but no points loss since it is preference issue. It was a little toooo sugary for us. Husband reports French crueller was really good, well made and good flavor. Persian was a bit too sweet for him. I ordered a sugar twist to enjoy later, imagining it to be soft and fluffy like the donut hole. We will be bringing the rest of our kiddos here to check it out in the future!

This was my third stop on the donut trail, and Holtman's stood out as the most modern-looking shop…read more I loved that you could see right into their kitchen--it adds a fun, behind-the-scenes feel to the experience! Their donuts are beautifully made, and I decided to try the doughsant ($4.25). Its shape reminded me of Parlor's version, though I found it not flaky enough, especially at that price point. The location is easy to access, with plenty of parking. It's almost a standalone building, except for one neighboring business. Overall, a nice stop if you're exploring the local donut scene!

Service was good in that everyone got what they ordered. My waffle was pretty delicious. This is not fancy food - but it is well done and you get a lot of it!! We were so hungry I didn't get pictures my stomach overrode my Yelp-sense. (It's like spidey- sense but for Yelpers. )

I ducked into The Original Pancake House this morning with an empty belly and a head full of hope,…read moreand I walked back out cradling a little breakfast story I can't wait to pass along. From the very first bite, the food wrapped me up like a cozy blanket. The servers, meanwhile, moved with a laid-back, almost Sunday-morning calm, even though the calendar said otherwise. That easy pace wasn't a deal breaker, but it did have me sneaking glances toward the kitchen, part patient and part curious. When the omelet finally arrived, my eyes widened. Calling it an omelet feels too plain. Picture a quiche teaming up with an airy pile of eggs and stacking itself sky-high, one luscious layer after another. The whole thing reminded me of a savory, egg-only lasagna. Each forkful was soft, buttery, and delightfully rich. While I waited, I hugged a mug of coffee between my palms. Nothing fancy to report--just hot, strong, caffeinated comfort doing exactly what I needed it to do as the morning rubbed the sleep from its eyes. I strolled out already plotting a return for the specialty pancakes everyone keeps buzzing about. If they're half as magical as that omelet, I might have to set up permanent residence. For now, I'm docking one star for the leisurely service. Speed things up a bit and this place earns a solid five.

My husband and I went with two other couples for dinner on Friday before the Joe Nichols concert…read more As soon as we walked in, the first thing I noticed was how empty the restaurant was--there were only two other customers there. It was so quiet you could hear crickets. I ordered a Blackberry Rum Lemonade. While it tasted okay, there was no noticeable taste of alcohol, and for $8, I received a small glass packed with ice. To make matters worse, there appeared to be dirt or paper debris in the ice. I ended up ordering a beer afterward, even though it was Happy Hour. My husband ordered a shot and a Sprite. For dinner, I had six wings and we shared the pork nachos. My husband ordered three chicken tenders, which were extremely overcooked and charred. The biggest surprise came when it was time to pay. The woman who appeared to be running the entire restaurant by herself simply came over and told us our total was $62--without providing an itemized bill or receipt to review. We were expected to take her word for it. Unfortunately, between the poor food quality, questionable drink value, dirty ice, and lack of a proper bill, this was not a good experience. I would not recommend dining here.
