I have been looking for a shoe repair shop since I moved back to the KC area 13 years ago and this is the first shop I've been happy with. The same with alterations. Took my (single layer) dress in to get a few inches taken off the bottom. Seems like they were just guessing how much you would be willing to pay and charged me $77. My friend took the same bridesmaids dress down the street and they charged her $25. Not to mention when I got the dress back it had 2 stains/marks on it that weren't there before (it was brand new). Needless to say I will be going elsewhere next time. read more

Asked for a zipper replacement. They clearly didn't do that as it got stuck twice within the first week of wearing. Brought it back and they wanted to charge me more than double what I'd already paid, which was more than the item cost. When I explained that and declined they wouldn't refund my initial payment, saying it was "my problem". This after it took them two occasions to repair a shoe before they did what I asked. I know all the reviews says the customer service sucks, but hey, who cares. They do great drop. I just took two pairs of pants into them to have the waist taken in. One was a very expensive pair of designer work pants. The work was very well done and I was very pleased. They got it down quick and for a reasonable price. There are moments when I take something in and she informs me that she cannot do it. I would rather have her be up front like that then to lie and mess up my garment. I searched everywhere for a place to resole my Birkenstocks. The only place in Johnson County area I could find was at a place in Leawood, which was charging almost as much as a new pair of shoes ! It was absurd. So I noticed this place one day and called them up--and they not only did it at a very reasonable price, they were super friendly(unlike the Leawood place) and did a fantastic job! So happy with my experience here. My roommate came here to get a few things altered and was very happy with it. One of the pockets on my cargo shorts had come off on one side, and when I asked Pride Cleaners about it they said it would take 7-10 days to get it sent out for alteration/repair. I thought that a little too long and came here after remembering my roommates positive experiences. The man and woman that work here are very kind and greeted me as soon as I walked in with smiles on their faces. I showed the woman where I needed my shorts repaired and she said that she would fix them right there while I waited. A few minutes later my shorts look brand-new and I honestly couldn't even tell which side of my shorts had been repaired because she did such an excellent job. Their prices are very reasonable too.
